I met with Pamela Coffey, the owner of Seattle Shades & Blinds to place an order for blinds on Oct 3, 2013. I presented my LivingSocial voucher ($300 value) as well as additional payment ($91.31) for additional blinds ordered above and beyond the voucher amount. Pamela stated that my blinds would be delivered in 2-3 weeks. My credit card was charged immediately and since then Pamela has not fulfilled the order. I followed up with her 3 weeks later (on Oct 24) and she replied saying that she was experiencing problems with her supplier. I told her that I would like a refund since the blinds would not arrive in the timeline that I needed them. Since then, she has not replied to my numerous follow-up emails requesting a refund, or even for emails asking her to simply reinstate my order and deliver the blinds as promised (even if they are delayed). At this point, I have received zero products for the $391.31 of value that I gave to Pamela at Seattle Shades and Blinds. Pamela basically just stole this money from me. I am bewildered as to how Pamela and her business can treat customers so poorly. In looking at reviews on the internet (e.g. Yelp) regarding Seattle Shades & Blinds, I am clearly not the only customer that feels this way. On the website of Seattle Shades & Blinds, it states, " Seattle Shades & Blinds is centered on the belief that our customers' needs are of the utmost importance. We are committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals. We would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in the industry." I feel that this entire statement about Pamela's business is completely untrue, and misleading. I have also posted a negative review on Yelp, as well as reported Pamela and Seattle Shades & Blinds to the Better Business Bureau for fraudulent practices.
Description of Work: Pamela Coffey (the owner of Seattle Shades & Blinds) charged my credit card for the products that I ordered and never delivered any products to me. I have followed-up numerous times to either get a refund or reinstate my order to receive my products (even if they are delayed in arriving) and Pamela is ignoring my emails.

This person used a voucher worth $300 and paid the $91 difference. That is all I owe to the customer. They need to go to Living Social to get $95 refund - which was amt paid for $300 voucher.

paid for taI bought a special on Living Social or something for a discount on blinds. My phone calls were returned promptly and Pam came out to our appointment on time and showed me some samples. She also measured the windows. She did not give me a detailed quote or anything - she just scribbled some numbers on the back of a business card. The number seemed high but I was short on time for comparison shopping and had already paid for the Living Social deal. I ended up ordering the blinds which look great! I never got a receipt or invoice or anything - she just told me a number and I gave her my credit card number. I don't know which of the three blinds cost how much, or what type of blinds I actually got, and this makes comparison shopping pretty tough! I requested a detailed receipt and never got one. I thought that was pretty unprofessional and kind of underhanded. Also it turned out, when the guy came to install the blinds, that one of the measurements was slightly off (it was a complicated corner where two windows meet) and he had to go trim one of the blinds. Pam at least paid for that extra step, so I give her credit for handling that situation professionally, but obviously a perfect fit the first time would have been preferable. She claims to give returning customers "70% off," but 70% off of what starting price? I'm still taking it on faith that my living social discount was actually applied to whatever the original price was...
Description of Work: Pam measured our windows for blinds and ordered them to be delivered to our home. She also recommended someone who came and did a great job installing them quickly for an additional fee.

Pam cancelled our appointments twice last minute complaining of illness and when she finally showed up on the 3rd appointment she was soft spoken and awkward to deal with. She didnt say much, just measured the windows I was interested in and had me pick a color from her one fan of blinds (she said that was the cheapest since i told her I didn't have tons of money). She added it up and for 5 windows the total ended up being close to $900! I almost freaked, I felt obligated to buy something from her though because I had bought a $250 voucher off of Living Social for $50 dollars so I asked her how much it would be for just our bedroom, she said 250 plus tax. We thought this outragious as this would mean it was 500 bucks with our $250 voucher, that's 250 a blind and we hadnt even been told anything about these blinds, who made them, what the quality was. I am too nice of a person and felt too awkard or I would have just told this lady to take a hike. I felt inclined to bash her on Angie's list because I ran into a woman off of craigslist and she had the same experience we had with her! She has been waiting for her blinds for over a year now and Pam keeps using excuses about money issues and illness. Now I have already been waiting a month for my blinds and no word, I have a feeling she wont be sending them either, especially after my living social review of her and this one. On top of the other woman's story. This lady needs shut down, DO NOT buy from her.
Description of Work: She came to my house, had me pick out the blinds I liked best and I wrote her a check

(member name removed), I am sorry I had to cancel, but I was really sick for weeks. I tried to accommodate you with your needs. If you didnt want to buy the blinds you could have gotten a refund. I thought I was freindly and loved the names you picked out for your boys. Your blinds will be delivered this week as I checked. Please take down this review - it is very unfair. You did not have to purchase from me. Pamela Coffey Seattle Shades
