The communication was good in there customer service. The product turned out really nice. They could improve on payment options. They had a lot of options but some how we struggled to give them money. It seems like it ought to be the easiest thing in the world, but no one onsite ever took money. So we were trying to transact with them over the mail and that never feels very good when you dealing with that much money. For price they were about the same as everyone else, maybe just a little better.

I contacted Jaren very early in a kitchen remodel. He was very cooperative in helping me work with my own selection of materials and in fabricating a challenging custom piece. He was very patient in waiting for my other contractor to finish the other parts of the job. He helped me pick out a great sink too. His install team did an excellent job making sure the tops were exactly the way I wanted them. They were fast, friendly, professional, and made sure everything was perfect before they left. Fantastic job- thanks so much Jaren!

Good: Owner of the shop was informative and professional, yet casual Price was reasonable Bad: Templators were significantly late (had to re-schedule) Installers were an hour late Misc: Recieved hand written estimates on blank paper (e-mail for granite pricing) Initially had a mis quote in the price of granite (slab warehouse quoted wrong price, but they called me as soon as it was discoverd.

This is the second time I've used Seattle Granite. Basically, I wanted to get the best looking granite countertops possible and the lowest possible price and was willing to measure and glue them down myself. Having been a repeat customer, I provided a template/diagram of my kitchen along with the measurements and picked out the color I wanted. There was a 50% deposit at the time of order. Almost a week later, I was called to set up a delivery time. I received another call explaining that there was a small problem (chip) with one of the holes and that they would attempt to fix it or refab the piece and so delivery would have to get pushed back by a day. I couldn't take that day off of work, so they graciously apologized and were flexible enough to deliver late Saturday afternoon or even Sunday if that worked out better after they fixed the problem. Tom came right on time on Saturday, and since I paid for discounted delivery, the two of us carried the slabs inside. Everything fit like a glove per my specifications and the whole process was again smooth and satisfactory. The first time I ordered from them one of the slabs was off by a couple of inches and when I called, I was told that if it were my mistake in my measurements, they would charge me for the additional work but if it were their fault, of course it would be corrected for free. Fair enough. It turned out to be their fault and they sent a crew over the same day to get it resolved. Friendly, professional service at a rock-bottom price. Used them twice already, recommended a few others to them and will continue to do so in the future.

We visited their warehouse in Seattle where the salesman did a great job helping us select a granite slab for our vanity. We purchased a piece that we liked and made an appointment for them to install it. Initially the appointment was set for 11AM. I asked if they could do it early. The salesman said they could pack the van the night before and head straight to my house. This would allow them to arrive earlier. Today they arrived before 9AM, which was great. I showed them the vanity in the bedroom and asked if we could move it outside to their truck. They said it was not necessary and that they would cut the granite outside and then bring it in to install it. Problems: 1 and ndash; When they first measured the width for the vanity they were out by 1.5 inches. I pointed this out, and they fixed it. 2 and ndash; They walked mud in over my carpets. I asked them if why had any plastic booties, they did. After putting them on they also vacuumed the carpet. Had I not said anything they would have also trampled the mud into the carpet. 3 and ndash; While gluing the vanity at some point one of the workers knocked a piece of cardboard with glue on it on the carpet. Fortunately it was quick drying glue and it did not do anything to the carpet. 4 and ndash; Later he placed a glue tube on a box, with the end hanging over the carpet. As is normal with these tubes, the glue slowly came out. I moved the tube such that the end was over a piece of cardboard. He said it would not come out. It did, and went onto the cardboard. 5 and ndash; The glue job was shoddy at best. All along the entire inside of the vanity there are huge blobs of glue about 1 inch long and and frac12; inch wide. 6 and ndash; The under mount sink was not mounted flush. On one side it is flush, on the other there is about a 1/8 inch gap. 7 and ndash; The granite has scratches on it. None serious, but worse than I would expect for a new vanity top. Standing back and looking at the vanity it looks fine, but overall the job was shoddy, the width would have been wrong, and my carpets would have been destroyed had I not been supervising.
Description of Work: Cut out and installed a granite top, under mount sink, and backsplash for a 36" vanity.

Overall it went very well. Tom and Jarren are great to work with, and their prices are very competitive. They had done work prior to this for our family and friends and it turned out great. They will do tear out of existing counters, but do not install or reconnect plumbing, electrical, or gas, so we opted to have someone else do the tear out and reconnect. They have a wide selection of granite slabs at their warehouse, and we were able to go down there in advance of our project start date and pick out the slabs we wanted, since colors and patterns in the granite can vary from slab to slab. On the day of the install, their subcontractor who installs the granite was a bit late getting onsite, however they worked very quickly and efficiently. When they installed the counters you had to look really hard to see where the seams were, so they did a great job making everything look great and were exacting in their measurements. There were a few issues with the install, though, that bear mentioning. We had asked for rounded (bullnose) edges on our counters prior to the install, however it wasn't until after the kitchen counters were glued on that I noticed that this hadn't been done, so it was too late to get them to remove them to fix it, but they still looks good. Also, even though the contractors do their work cutting the granite outside, there was some cutting done inside that left a fine dust all throughout our kitchen and bath areas that was a pain to clean up and got on everything, so be prepared to have to do a thorough cleaning of any areas where you have granite installed, or at least cover and/or remove items from the install areas. From start to finish the job took 8 hours, and the installers worked straight through, no breaks. All told we are satisfied with the work done by Seattle Granite and would recommend them in the future.
