To clean a backed up toilet, I used a $75.00 single drain clean coupon from Angie's List for Rush Plumbing. When the plumber arrived, he evaluated the toilet situation. He called me at work and told me that it appeared to be a blockage because the drain kept backing up. I gave him the go ahead to put a camera down the drain to find out the what was blocking the drain. By the time I reached my home, the plumber had already evaluated that the pipe was broken and obtained an estimate from a pipe replacement contractor to fix the pipe. The plumber applied the $75.00 coupon to the $350.00 cost for the camera evaluation. Rush Plumbing was responsive and reliable. I have used them since that time. Recommend them highly.

I had purchased a big deal for a plumbing inspection and drain clean out. The service person (cannot recall his name) was very friendly and took the time to explain all of the components and recommendations for my plumbing system. He answered all of my questions in a manner in which I could understand (I know so very little about home maintenance).

They came on time and did service at professional level. Overall experience is great. I made a mistake that I thought the $75 coupon is for all house drain cleaning, and turns out it's just one, which is clearly stated on the coupon, they explained to me patiently, and loaded the coupon and pointed that out to me, I wasted them quite a lot time but they just performed the job and left no complain. Will recommend their service again.

I bought the Angie's List Big Deal for a $25 service call. I scheduled the appointment in advance for an 8am sharp appointment this morning. At 8:10, I was called by the office to say the plumber had gotten in late & he would be at my house in 1 - 1 1/2 hours. When I said that wouldn't work for me and I was very disappointed, someone else came on the line to tell me there was a dispatch error. Whether the plumber was late to work or there was a dispatch error, I neither know nor care. All I know is I had to take vacation time to have this appointment, and instead of doing me the courtesy of calling at 7am or even 7:30am when they obviously knew the plumber wouldn't make it to my house by 8, they waited until 8:10 to call me. So, no plumber and I've lost vacation time. Very, very, unhappy with this provider's professionalism and customer service. Do they think I just wait around all day with nothing to do, waiting for the plumber to show up? Won't use my Big Deal certificate - what a waste of $25. Would never consider using this plumber again.

Very well - arrived early after calling ahead to make sure that was okay. Was polite and professional. Confirmed what the source of the odor was in our bathroom - not plumbing as I'd suspected.

Prompt and professional for the servicing and available for quick turn around service I was really happy with Rush for emergency service. They recommended it was time for the water heater to be replaced and offered to help with that. However they never followed up with a quote/bid for a new water heater as they said they would. I called them a few times over a few weeks and always got the run around. The water heater was going to be a complex/non-standard install, so I'm guessing they weren't interested in the business even though they said they were and the nature of the install would have been a more expensive project (IE theoretically more profitable to them). I really wish they would have said that v me having to figure it out from their non-responsiveness. I went with Washington Water Heaters for the replacement and was very happy with them. So Rush is great for emergency services, but for other types of jobs I'd be less inclined to call them. -A

I have two rentals and Rush Plumbing is my new plumber after going through two or three others. My tenant had been "plunging" the toilet 3 x a week at my 1925 Craftsman house in Columbia City without telling me. Sure enough the plumbing backed up and flooded my newly remodeled bamboo floor. The sump pump was not working correctly either. Robert came in and snaked out the line and found the 1925 main line out to the street was completely ruined and blocked with roots, etc. Robert was very honest up front and said this would cost a lot to fix. While he was already busy with other jobs he also made time for my crisis. He got a few sub contractors out to do their parts of the project immediately and within a week they had "blown a new lining" in my old main. This was a tricky project as the line was quite deep and right below rockery. All is well now!

Enter Rush. They're sort of Jeckyll and Hyde. Robert was very blunt on the phone initially with lots of long pauses. Then Gil (who I think is actually the subcontractor, Pipeline Industries) came out and ran a camera up the pipe and admitted it seemed like maybe the blockage was the new lining, though he also noted that our pipes were in bad shape and "there should be more water." Heather of Rush came out to reassure me as well and both Gil and Heather said that they'd fix the problem (reopening the neighbor's driveway and cutting into the new lining) with no charge to me. I allowed as how I'd like to see a quote for replacing our ancient pipes. Eventually Robert himself appeared. He reacted badly to the sight of the O'Neills business card (which happened to be on the kitchen table) and generally switched between genial and angry throughout the visit. He quoted a price of $5995 plus tax to replace the roughly twenty feet of pipe between the basement and the joint with the neighbor's pipe. This was a great deal, he explained, because normally, if they were charging for tearing up and replacing the neighbor's driveway, it would be $9000. That seemed awfully high to me so I asked O'Neill if he'd quote on the same work. He said they'd charge around $1500 - $1800 (plus permits) if they didn't have to tear up/repair the driveway and $2500 - $2800 (plus permits) to do the work from scratch. I know that rates can vary greatly but Robert of Rush's quotes seem like they included *all* the work twice over. When I told him I didn't want him to do anything but fix the original damage he pretty much reverted to Angry Robert. He forgot to tell the subcontractor that I'd given him my decision so they weren't able to do the work until a day later. It seems like the subcontractor has done the repair work competently--we don't have water backing up this evening--but I can't say that I was impressed with the rest of the operation.

Called first thing in the morning, receptionist was very pleasant, checked with the plumber and called me back promptly, arranging a time for the plumber to come by. He was prompt, pleasant, answered all my questions without making me feel like I was an idiot :-) and cleaned out my drain. Cleaned up completely and left everything the way he found it. Great experience!

I had my main pipe clog preventing me from using any water systems in my house during a BBQ on Labor day. I called Rush Plumbing in an emergency. They answered and sent someone promptly and were able to unclog the drain in about an hour or so using some pretty heavy equipment. Our plumber was great and got down to work and was able to take care of the clog while my BBQ continued outside. He really was a lifesaver. It ended up costing a lot, which was to be expected on Labor Day, but still more than I would have thought. They charged a $99 show fee (as opposed to $29 if it hadn't been a holiday), but told me the rest of the cost would still be the same. I don't really have any points for comparison, but over $400 still seemed like a lot for less than an hour of work. Thus I think the price was fair, but perhaps not the cheapest.
