Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Mark Brown and his colleague, Umberto, were professional from the beginning. They arrived for the bid and work when they said they would, gave itemized bid and a warranty and performed the work on time and expertly. They even did a little extra work without charge. They were great. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of because I am a woman and might not understand plumbing. Highly recommend them.

Roto Rooter was able to get someone to help within 24 hours, which was appreciated. When they couldn't meet the original promised time, they offered a 10% discount. The work was done as expected and the leaks were stopped. I appreciated the flexibility to take care of the second leak on short notice.

Plumber arrived, listened to description of job and then evaluated the current situation. He gave a vague estimate, but warned that it could be be more than that (with parts etc). Went away to buy parts. Arrived later with another contractor, and both of them did the required plumbing work. It ended up being a little more expensive than I thought, but they did a good job overall and we are happy with the results.

Plumber came out within 2 hours of placing the call for emergency service. He fixed the drain and gave us advice about how to keep it from clogging in the future.

He was earlier than expected. The initial timeframe was 3 hours and he was here in just over one. He was very friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. Even gave us recommendations on garbage disposals when we go to upgrade our kitchen.

Unfortunately older houses tend to have older pipes and I have had to use Roto Rooters services numerous times. They have always been punctual and professional, even under the worst of circumstances. I have always received excellent customer service from them from the first phone call to when they leave.

The disposal coil needed fixed in the garbage disposal. The sink and shower were clogged where he used a cable to clean them out. The sink is working great but the shower has started to re-clog.

Plumber was on time, very polite, and thorough. Prices were a bit on the high side and he did not have the faucet on his truck that was an exact match to mine.

Wayne was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He did not over promise but gave me the facts and probabilities. He was great to work with and I would highly recommend him to anyone. I did not grade prices because it always seems too expensive but I really have no basis for comparison.

Joe was clear and precise in his explanation of the cost for auguring and pulling the toilet. The cost was based on the time spent. It took exactly 45 mins to pull and put the toilet back together which is what he stated originally before starting the job. He answered my questions as he worked. He cleaned up anything that wasn't originally covered by a tarp on the floor. Very professional and job well done!

THEY DO A REALLY GOOD JOB. THEY ALWAYS DO REASONABLE WORK. IT DID NOT TAKE THEM ALL DAY TO DO THE JOB, WHICH WAS NICE OF THEM. MY WATER LINE HAS NOT LEAKED SINCE.

The plumbers were on-time, polite, and professional. Both plumbers seemed knowledgeable and helpful.

Wayne was very polite and helpful. He even fixed our toilet and gave advice on other plumbing issues.

I called the night before they came out to set up the appointment. They were right on time and it took him less than 10 minutes to fish the toilet paper spring out of the toilet bowl pipe. They charge by the half hour, so we still ended up paying 141.03. I had a $25 coupon. They left another $25 for the next service. We were happy with their service and will use them again.

Good experience. Dispatch was good to keep me informed when the plumber would be arriving. Plumber was courteous and professional.

THE ESTIMATE WAS $149, AFTER ALL WAS SAID AND DONE, IT WAS OVER $200. IT WORKED OUT BECAUSE HE SPENT EXTRA TIME (HENCE THE EXTRA COST) WHICH MEANT FINDING THE ISSUE. HE SAID THAT IT LOOKED LIKE THERE WAS DIRT IN THE LINE AND WE MAY NEED TO HAVE THE FLOOR JACK HAMMERED OUT TO FIX THE ISSUE. BY OPENING A WALL BEHIND THE SINK WHERE THE LINE CAME IN, HE ROTO ROOTED THAT AREA AND FIXED THE PROBLEM.

BRETT WAS ON TIME, PERSONABLE, AND WAS VERY EXPERIENCED. HE COMPLETED THE WORK IN THE AMOUNT OF TIME HE ESTIMATED AND GAVE A 6-MONTH CLEAR DRAIN GUARANTEE.

THEY WERE VERY POLITE. PROFESSIONAL. THEY DID RUN LATE, BUT I WAS PLEASED WITH THE WORK, SO IT DIDN'T MATTER. THEY DID CALL TO SAY THEY WOULD BE LATE. THERE WAS A YOUNG MAN AND AN OLD MAN. IT SEEMED THAT THE YOUNG MAN WAS THERE TO DO LOTS OF HEAVY LIFTING AND TO GET DOWN ON HIS KNEES UNDER SINKS AND THINGS. THE OLDER MAN WASN'T THAT PHYSICALLY ABLE, BUT HE HAD BEEN A PLUMBER FOR A LOT LONGER THAN THE YOUNGER MAN. THE OLDER GUY WAS DESCRIBED AS A SAFETY INSPECTOR (OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT), BUT HE DID HELP OUT QUITE A BIT AND SEEMED TO BE THE VOICE OF EXPERIENCE. THE YOUNGER MAN WAS A MASTER PLUMBER. WE HAD MANY ASSORTED JOBS AND THE TWO MEN TALKED OVER HOW TO DO THE JOBS TOGETHER. I LIKED THIS SINCE I DO THINK ''TWO HEADS ARE BETTER THAN ONE''. THE YOUNGER GUY WAS THE ONE WHO WAS ULTIMATELY DECIDING WHAT TO DO AND DEALT WITH ME IN TERMS OF PAYMENT, COMING BACK THE NEXT DAY, ETC.

WE WERE HAVING RECURRING PROBLEMS WITH ONE OF OUR TOILETS GETTING STOPPED UP, AND OVERFLOWING REPEATEDLY DURING AN EXTENDED VISIT BY GUESTS. WE THOUGHT THE TOILET MIGHT NEED ROOTER SERVICE FOR THE DRAIN, OR THERE MIGHT BE ROOTS GROWING INTO THE PIPES. WE WERE WRONG. ALL THAT WAS NEEDED WAS SIMPLE SNAKING (WHICH WED DONE OURSELVES SEVERAL TIMES). THE PLUMBER WAS COURTEOUS, AND FRANK. TOLD US OUR GUESTS NEEDED TO STOP USING TOO MUCH OF THE PLUSH TOILET PAPER. IN ADDITION, HE INSTALLED A FLAPPER THAT ALLOWED MORE WATER TO ENTER THE BOWL WITH EVERY FLUSH. GREAT SERVICE, FRANKNESS, AND INTEGRITY. PRICE IS HIGH.

MIKE TOLD ME THAT HE WAS THE LYNWOOD OFFICE'S ''LEAD JOURNEYMAN PLUMBER''...ON THE JOB FOR 16 YEARS WITH ROTO-ROOTER. I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS ABOUT HIS SERVICE, HE DID A FINE JOB. BUT I DO FEEL THE PRICE IS TOO HIGH. THE PRICE OF $540 WAS LABOR ONLY!! FOR 3.5 HOURS!!! THEY CHARGE $154 FOR THE FIRST 1/2 HOUR AND THEN $150 PER HOUR AFTER THAT! I FIND THIS EXORBITANTLY HIGH! BUT, IT WAS URGENT AND THE SINK WAS OVERFLOWING. BUT DO NOTE, I WAS NOT PAYING THEM FOR AFTER HOURS OR SUNDAY WORK. THESE ARE THEIR NORMAL CHARGES! BEWARE!! THOUGH I HAVE NO COMPLAINT ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THE WORK PERFORMED. IN SUM, THEY DID GOOD WORK (MIKE FROM LYNWOOD DID THE WORK), BUT I FEEL I PAID TOO HIGH A PRICE. BUT MAYBE ALL PLUMBERS CHARGE THIS MUCH, I DON'T KNOW.

BUZZ WAS PROFESSIONAL, FORMULATED A PLAN, GAVE ME A WRITTEN ESTIMATE, AND CLEANED UP AFTER HIMSELF. THEY WERE ALSO ON TIME AFTER I HAD JUST CALLED THEM EARLIER IN THE MORNING.

SERVICE WAS CALLED AND A TECHNICIAN SHOWED UP IN ABOUT TWO HOURS. HE DIDN'T HAVE THE RIGHT PARTS AND LEFT WITHOUT FIXING THE PROBLEM. ANOTHER REPAIRMAN SHOWED UP THE NEXT MORNING, AGAIN WITHOUT THE RIGHT PARTS. A THIRD REPAIRMAN SHOWED UP TWO DAYS LATER WITH THE RIGHT PARTS AND MADE THE REPAIR.

THE SERVICEMAN WAS PROMPT, COURTEOUS AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. HE HAD ALL THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT TO SOLVE OUR PROBLEM AS THE BLOCKAGE WAS SEVERE. HE ACTUALLY WORKED FOR MORE THAN AN HOUR AND A HALF BUT ONLY CHARGED US FOR AN HOUR.

THE SERVICE WAS PROMPT AND COURTEOUS. APPROXIMATELY 9 MONTHS LATER OUR KITCHEN SINK BACKED UP AGAIN. I NOTED ON MY RECEIPT THAT THE WORK WAS GUARANTEED FOR ONE YEAR. WHEN I CALLED, I WAS ADVISED THAT DRAIN CLEANING IS NORMALLY GUARANTEED FOR 90 DAYS, BUT THAT IF I COULD PRESENT MY RECEIPT IT WOULD BE HONORED. THE DRAIN WAS AGAIN UNPLUGGED (FREE OF CHARGE), AND HAS BEEN CLEAR FOR 2 YEARS.

WELL SATISFIED WITH ESTIMATE, OPTIONS, DESCRIPTION OF PLAN OF SERVICE, WORKMEN, JOB DONE, AND CLEAN UP.
