Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Called at 7:30PM on a Sunday night because nothing in my house would drain. I was given a service window from 10PM - 1AM that night. I was expecting a very late night of waiting for someone to show up. Steve was at my house by 9:30pm and he was done by 10:15pm. He was prompt, courteous, and got it done. I am so happy right now.

Phil was excellent. He was very professional and explained what he thought the problem was and what it would cost and answered all of our questions thoroughly and honestly. He was very conscientious and laid down mats to protect the carpet. The sewer clean out cap was pretty much rusted on but he got it off without any fuss. He then brought his machine in, set it up, and unclogged the drain. When finished, he made sure that he left the area clean. It was a "breath of fresh air" to have someone show concern for the problem and try to resolve it at the least cost possible. We would definitely use his services again.

Provider exposed septic tank line so he could use the snake to remove the stoppage and informed me that we need to have our septic tank pumped.

Roto Rooter responded quickly to my request for help with a sewer blockage. The Field Supervisor (Ron Kazemian) who did the work was very efficient, and cleared the root block. He was very knowledgeable and provided useful information and recommendations for lining a section of older pipe. He brought excellent diagnostic equipment and knew how to use it .

We woke up today, Sunday, and noticed that the toilets were making a funny "glugging" sound. By lunchtime, sewage was backing up into our downstairs toilet and shower- ugh! We started calling plumbers- those who had Sunday service were quoting a charge to come out to look at it of $150, plus a holiday rate of $250 an hour- and no estimate as to how long the project would take. I called Roto-Rooter and a live person answered the phone! She said she could have someone come out to us within the hour- there would be NO trip charge and NO holiday charge and NO "pay by the however many hours it takes us" rate. Their plumber would come out to the house and diagnose the problem, THEN give us a FIXED QUOTE for how much the job would be! If we didn't accept the quote, the plumber would leave and there would be no charge to us. Paul arrived within the hour. He found the central drain thing (sorry- I forget what it's called) quickly in our garage and decided that our line out to the street must be blocked. He quoted us $365 flat to clear out our sewer line, which we accepted. He used his "roto-rooter" tool, and was done with the job in an hour. Great service in every way!!

It worked really great. The gentleman I worked with was nice. I didn't meet any of the other people that did the work because I was at work. They did a really good job. The guy came after hours and everything was wonderful.

The crawl space was too small for the person they sent out, so they sent out the smallest guy they had first thing in the morning. Roto-rooter called us several times to make sure that we knew what was going on. Tim arrived early the next morning. Not only was he personable, but he did a great job in a reasonable amount of time, and we had him fix our toilet as well. He was very professional and kept us informed along the way. All in all, a very reassuring experience, with a very nice guy. We would use them again definitely.

The service was excellent. Sergey called 30 minutes ahead of time to notify me that he was on the way and arrived on time. He was friendly and courteous and knowledgeable about the work he performed. He took the time to explain what he was doing and why. He worked quickly and finished in a short time.

It was a difficult task, the provider did not stop until it was completely clear.

Roto Rooter is a bunch of junk. I saw their ads and decided to use them. They sent this guy out and he worked at the sink. He tore it all up and supposedly they had everything in their truck, so he had to go a home improvement store. I ended up spending almost $1,000 with him because I had him do extra things. I asked when he was coming back to finish the work, but he said he had a doctor's appointment. He never came back.

He had to crawl under the house to connect new hose bib to the already existing 3/4" pipe.. He said it was the cleanest crawl space space he'd ever seen. When he was given my address, the dispatcher gave him the wrong street name. He called me saying he was on my street and I told him what my house, car and mailbox looked like. The box has big house numbers. And my front door is blue. After a half hour I called the company back said he still had not shown up and they connected me to him. I found he was on the wrong street , about 10 miles away, and gave him directions to my house. After he went under the house and checked it out he gave me a price and told me he would have to buy some materials. He checked out our local Ace store, called me and said they were three times higher than what he could buy it for in Bellevue, and that he would be back the next morning. He completed the job in about an hour and a half, gave me a Senior discount and I was extremely pleased with the work. I'm an 85 year old woman and I was enormously pleased that he bought me a faucet head that only takes a quarter turn to be on full. The young man's name is Joshua and he is very competent and very proud to be a Roto-Rooter tech. When he first came out one of the things he told me was that Roto-Rooter offers a free consultation and there is no trip charge if you do not order.

The company responded to our evening call early the next morning. The work was prompt and professional. The plumber identified as well problems with water damage to the carpet and floor, and had another technician specializing in this at our house within hours. All in all, we were very pleased with the promptness, courtesy, and responsiveness.

They showed up quickly, on time and were very professional. The price was a bit high - there is likely a more affordable option.

Called and RR responded quickly. Came the same day. Assessed the problem. Cleared the pump and tested before the repair man left.

They were fine. I would use them again. The price was more than what we wanted to pay, but I guess we had no choice. The quality of the work was fine.

It went very well. Tech arrived as scheduled and was familiar with what needed to be done - good communication through dispatch. The tech removed the old galvanized pipe behind my kitchen sink - about 4 feet of it and replaced it with new pvc pipe. He also provided new ventilation that was up to code. This required the tech to work inside a cabinet and under the house. The tech kept me informed as he worked and provided accurate pricing.

It was in the evening at our rental house. He showed up in a timely fashion, which is always appreciated. Very nice guy. He was careful about doing his work, didn't make a mess and had the drain working in no time. He also gave us a number of good tips on how to keep the drain working properly.

Great service -- did exactly what they said they would. My house was in danger of flooding when I called them and they responded the next day -- work was done immediately. Work was pricy, but the quality was very good.

This job was at a 30,000 sq ft church. After trying to call a handful of local plumbers off Angie's List, Roto-Rooter was the company that answered the phone and told me they could have someone there within the hour. They showed up on time and ready to do the job. I had a lot of meetings that morning so I gave the plumber a key to be able to get to where he needed to go, told him what happened, and he went to work. As a sidenote, he said they had a water restoration department and asked if I would like them to be called. I got a free bid for the job an hour later from two very professional guys. The guy that fixed our drain was incredibly professional. I knew the price before they started the work and their timeframe for getting the work done was right on.

They were fine and did a really nice job. They were prompt and very clean.

They took out the part that was leaking; they had to change the strainer. He took a saw drill and cut my sink up, I had a porcelain sink on top of cast iron, they had to cut gauges out. They sent someone else out to repair the sink after he cut it up. We had to stay gone yesterday so they could air the place out; they didn’t cover anything so we had a lot dust to clean up. They didn’t tell us we could just replace the sink -that would have been less expensive and less to clean up. The clog is gone though, we didn’t know our water would flow this well.

The man showed up on time and was very nice and professional. He was always respectful of my home. He avoided entering when he could and wore booties when he had to enter. He did all of the work as advertised and took care of various other issues with my downspouts while he was here. He made several other helpful suggestions. In all it was done on time, as expected with great quality. The price was fair and considering all of the extras he threw in and other things I was very pleased with it. $1200 in labor for about 8 hours of work felt modestly high but it was all well worth it. The last time I called them out to snake out a drain. They came out and snaked it but the first piece of equipment was not strong enough. They brought in a bigger piece of equipment that did the job and did not charge me at all for the first attempt. That price was very cheap. Overall I have no complaints about the price.

He was later than the quoted 3 hr time frame. He said the rates had gone up to $265/ hr. He didn't wear boots so he ended up walking across my hard wood floor in dripping socks. He went out to find a pump and had no idea what the cost would be "between $300 and $1500" He said he'd be back in 40 min and was gone for 3 hrs and 15 min He actually worked exactly one hr and tried to charge me for two indicating how long he spent to go for the pump. It was a wet, cold job but the last plumber (from the same company 3 yrs ago) pumped the water out first which took longer and charged me less. I received several phone calls from Roto Rooter. They were very apologetic and had a good plan to prevent future problems with this service person. They gave me a good refund for the trouble and I was very impressed with their work ethics.
