Rain City Painting

Silas Ness gave us a quote at the exact time he promised to show up. We agreed on a price that was fair for both of us. He took a board sample for color to match. He had paint mixed, and because the soffits were aged and so many different colors, we were unsure if it were the correct color. So, on a relatively small job, he went through the trouble of calling the paint manufacturer representative, brought him to our home, and got his opinion of the best shade which turned out to be absolutely correct. He sent an experienced painter on his payroll to do the job the very next day, and we are extremely happy with the outcome.

OUR HOUSE IS APPROX 1800 SQ/FT, 1928 CRAFTSMAN IN THE GREENWOOD AREA OF SEATTLE. WE DID ALMOST ALL THE PREP WORK, SANDING AND SCRAPING TO SAVE MONEY. OVERALL, THEY DID A DECENT JOB. THE PAINT JOB LOOKS GOOD. THEY WERE THE LOWEST BIDDER. SOME MINOR DETAILS WERE MISSED IN CLEAN-UP. LIKE REMOVING ALL THE TAPE FROM DOOR HANDLES. THE FRONT PORCH WAS PAINTED IN A HURRY. THERE'S BEEN SOME PAINT CHIPS FLAKING OFF THE PORCH. I THINK FRONT PORCHES ARE PRONE TO ABUSE THOUGH. WE CONTACTED THEM IN LATE AUGUST 2005 AND THEY PAINTED IN EARLY OCTOBER. A LITTLE TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT AS IT RAINED QUITE A BIT SHORTLY AFTER. SOMETHING WHICH I CAN ONLY BLAME MYSELF FOR CONTRACTING AN EXTERIOR PAINT JOB SO LATE IN THE SUMMER. NICE GUYS THOUGH, HARD WORKING. YOU REALLY CAN'T DO BETTER FOR THE PRICE.
