They were fast and did the job well. I just felt that they had ripped me off. I called the AG office and they told me that since the plumbing business doesn't have standard pricing, it would be difficult to reclaim any part of my money. What an expensive lesson!
Description of Work: Two guys showed up with a cute dog. However, they sold me a very high-end water heater that I found out too late was way overpriced. I believe this company has several phone numbers so a person wouldn't know that this is Platinum Plumbing Co. is the same as Platinum Plumbing & Septic. I had called at three numbers and the same guy answered.

Work was done well and quickly. The workers arrived promptly and did the work as contracted. This company was recommended by a contractor friend and the price quoted was supposedly at a discount, although further checking suggests it is probably a higher than average price. Their contract has a few too many "hold harmless" and "non-refundable" clauses. Be sure to read it carefully.
Description of Work: Replacement of water heater and expansion tank.

WE WERE UNHAPPY WITH THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE. WE WERE GIVEN A PHONE ESTIMATE OF AROUND $600, BUT ONCE THEY ARRIVED AT OUR HOUSE, THE PRICE JUMPED ENORMOUSLY. WE ONLY AGREED TO HAVE THEM DO THE WORK BECAUSE WE WERE SOON LEAVING FOR THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND. ALSO, BOTH TECHNICIANS ASKED TO USE OUR BATHROOM, AND LEFT IT RATHER MESSY, NEEDING TO BE CLEANED. THEY BROUGHT THEIR DOG AND LET IT ROAM AROUND WHILE THEY WORKED.
Description of Work: INSTALLED A NEW 10 YR. HIGH EFFICIENCY 40 GALLON GAS WATER HEATER, NEW STAINLESS STEEL FLEX LINES, BRASS T & P VALVE, HAULED AWAY OLD TANK, INSTALLED NEW WATER HEATER STAND, EARTHQUAKE STRAPPING, AND THERMAL EXPANSION TANK.

WE WERE PLEASED WITH THE WORK, AND THE FACT THEY WERE ABLE TO ESTIMATE THE WORK (WE RECEIVED A CORPORATE DISCOUNT THEY HAVE OFFERED TO LOCAL BUSINESS EMPLOYEES), AND BEGIN IMMEDIATELY ON THE REPAIR WORK WE NEEDED. THEY DISCUSSED OPTIONS (FIND AND FIX THE LEAK SOMEWHERE UNDER THE DRIVEWAY, OR BYPASS THE ENTIRE SECTION ALLEVIATING FUTURE RISK), DISCUSSED HOW LONG IT WOULD TAKE, AND WERE RIGHT ON WITH BOTH ESTIMATES.
Description of Work: A NEW WATER LINE WAS INSTALLED (APPROXIMATELY 15 YARDS LONG) BETWEEN THE WATER METER AND THE INSIDE WATER SHUT OFF VALVE, DUE TO A LEAK. THEY HAD TO CUT THROUGH A PORTION OF THE DRIVEWAY AND GARAGE FLOOR, AND A DITCH NEXT TO THE DRIVEWAY TO INSTALL THE NEW MAIN.
