Peter was very friendly and came out immediately to do the estimate and was able to start work the following day. We felt his estimate was competitive and he did not go over the estimate. He was typically 20 minutes late to each appointment but did call/text that he was going to be late. The first day, he did not have tools needed to do the job (hammer, scissors etc) but we had them so he borrowed them. He removed the trim and set to work. Unfortunately, we did not find out until tonight when we went to put the trim back on that he had removed it using a screwdriver which left large gouges in the trim in multiple places. When he first finished the drywall work, I paid him without carefully looking it over. Once he left, we noticed that the wall was not smooth with large areas where it hadn't been sanded and the corner strip was exposed. I called Peter and told him and he was very friendly and came out again and filled in the missing portions and returned again the following day to sand it down. It (other than the damaged trim) now looks great.
Description of Work: Peter removed a water damaged wall in our bathroom and replaced it with drywall and mudded and taped to smooth finish.

It went good. It was a small hole they repaired. He came when he said he was going to so I didn't have to wait around all day. He was very fast it only took him fifteen minutes then he was gone. He was very friendly to deal with. The repair looked great, he did a very good job.
Description of Work: They came out and patched a whole in the wall.

Peter was remarkably pleasant and good to work with. He was creative in solving problems.
Description of Work: I had water damage in my upstairs ceiling. They repaired the entire ceiling by replacing it with drywall. This area was approximately 14 x 18. They also repaired the dining room ceiling which had old plaster. They fixed the cracked plaster and re-plastered the whole ceiling. This area was about 12 x 12.

Peter is a very friendly accessible character. The work was completed as promised with the use of a very nice crew - although Peter is the real talent. His taping and mudding are excellent! It's very difficult (almost impossible) on a long, high, uninterrupted smooth wall to not be able to see the joints and seams - but Peter was able to accomplish this.
Description of Work: Peter and his crew partially framed and then sheet rocked/taped/finished a garage area for use as a studio. He also removed some poorly installed sheet rock in a basement area and, again, finished the walls and ceiling areas for use as a "man cave". Both are fairly large spaces.

Peter misrepresented the size of his crew and ability to get the job done on time and did not devote the hours to my project he said he would in order to complete on time. Installation was shoddy - sheet rock often not pushed tight to wall, and no shims used even behind kitchen cabinets, and several bumped out areas I had to point out. His assistant, Josh, did terrible tape & mud work, though Peter's was fairly good. I finally had to hire someone else to finish the job, having lost faith that Peter would ever finish, given the lack of competent crew and time devoted. Some of the install and mud and tape work that Josh did had to be redone. Peter told me he had two people working for him, but there was only one. His and Josh's attitudes were uncooperative when working with my contractor around other projects going on simultaneously.

I TAKE GREAT PRIDE IN MY WORK AND DELIVER A QUALITY PRODUCT TO ALL MY CLIENTS. IT IS UNFORTUNATE I FIND MYSELF IN THE POSITION TO HAVE TO DEFEND MYSELF. FROM THE NATURE OF HER REVIEW- I THINK IT IS OBVIOUS IT HAS BECOME PERSONAL. I HAVE BECOME THE FALL GUY FOR ALL HER FRUSTRATIONS ON THIS JOB. I WAS IN CONSTANT COMMUNICATION WITH THE CLIENT ABOUT THE PROJECT AND ALL DELAYS WERE ACKNOWLEDGED, AND THE FACT THAT MY WORK DID NOT CAUSE THE DELAYS- THE FLOOD, BUILDER DELAYS, ETC. I FINISHED A MAJOR PERCENTAGE OF THIS PROJECT, BEFORE SHE BROUGHT IN SOMEONE ELSE TO FINISH IT WHILE I WAS OUT OF TOWN FOR XMAS, WHICH SHE HAS YET TO PAY. I WOULD LOVE TO NEGOTIATE A SETTLEMENT AND HAVE NOT HAD THE OPPORTUNITY. I HAVE RECEIVED THE SUPER SERVICE AWARD FOR A SECOND YEAR IN A ROW. THIS REVIEW IS NOT TYPICAL AND IT SADDENS ME SHE FELT THE NEED TO BE SO ATTACKING AND INACCURATE. I AM AN HONEST HARDWORKING PERSON, AND VALUE THE IMPORTANCE OF GOOD COMMUNICATION AND MUTUAL RESPECT.

Peter was prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and detailed. He got his estimate to us quickly and stayed right on bid. He recommended a way that solved the problem created by the interior drain contractor. [Other bidding contractors either did not see or did not know how to solve the problem.] His crew was fabulous in attention to detail and speed of work. Particularly impressive was his attention to detail and that I didn't have to point out areas that needed improvement. The cleanup after each day's work allowed use of the space when needed. Removal of debris at the end was complete and right on schedule. It was a pleasure working with Peter and his crew.
Description of Work: A flooded daylight basement resulted in all drywall being removed up about 18" from the floor. An interior drain contractor cut the footings of the wall so the walls were left hanging from the header. PK Drywall Services figured out how to reattach the 2x4s back to the cinder block walls which allowed drywall to be repaired. Moved an interior wall to create an open space, enclosed the stairway into the basement, installed a handrail in the stairway, door at the bottom of the stairs and repaired a 4x10 hole in the ceiling.

Peter was excellent to work with. He's a friendly and smart guy who went above and beyond the work we were paying him to do, every time. His work took about 4 visits and he worked around our busy and random schedules including weekend and evening work and never showed up late once. We were moving into the home when he came out to cut and install the new trim boards in the master bedroom. The movers said they couldn't get the mattress up the stairs. When they left, Peter surveyed the clearance and offered to help us try to get it up there. He was a great resource of information for us as we had many different projects to complete in the short amount of time we had to do the work before moving in. We will use him again in a heartbeat. If only all contractors could be this friendly, trustworthy and dependable.
Description of Work: Peter repaired numerous large holes in the walls and ceilings from having the house completely rewired. He prepped the top part of the walls in the living room where a wallpaper trim had been removed and replaced base molding in two bedrooms that had been removed during the electrical work. He also cut, routed, sanded and installed new 12' fir trim along one side of the master bedroom.

Very well.
Description of Work: Peter had to drywall a bedroom in an old home we had bought, that had previously been covered in timber veneer. He quoted on the job, and was in the mid range of other estimates I had. We needed the job done quickly, which he was able to do. He even came and worked well into the evening. We also had him skim the ceiling in our kitchen, and finish the drywall and trim around some new French doors and windows we had installed in our living room. I found his pricing to be reasonable, his work was of a good quality, and he managed to do the job quickly for us as requested. I must also make mention of his attention to detail, and his desire to do the job perfectly. He even worked beyond his job description when one day he was working here over winter, during a big rain storm and he got up on a ladder and went around the entire perimeter of our house in the pouring rain to clean out our gutters, for no extra cost. I found him to be a hard worker and would recommend him to anyone.

Peter does an effective job. A few things to consider if you're thinking about hiring Peter would be: punctuality and patience. Peter often was significantly late or in multiple cases did not show at the agreed upon day/time. He generally had multiple excuses to explain his absences, but could be very frustrating. If you have no time constraints and don't mind someone who is not great with time management Peter can do a nice job and is reasonably priced.
Description of Work: Peter subcontracted for a couple of guys to put up drywall along two walls in our living room (8 ft tall by 14 ft wide) and bedroom (8' x 13') where we had demoed existing bookshelves. Peter then did the mudding and taping on the project.

PK was prompt to come over and give us an estimate. He carefully explained that drywall compound needs a day or two to dry between coats, and it would require three or four days to complete the job. Once underway, he was as good as his word, showing up every day for a couple of hours to apply another coat. The basement looks great!
Description of Work: PK "mudded and taped" out our basement. The drywall had been up for six years when we finally decided to have it finished. PK also installed and finished 4 x 8 foot section of drywall behind the furnace.

Excellent quality. Good problem solving of a few minor special situations. Not always exactly on time, but close enough. Four separate visits. Helped move out refrigerator and some furniture. Peter is mellow and easy to work with. Did not competitively bid project (was given one quick quote of $1,100 from a commercial outfit but told might be able to get work done for as little as $600 or so) but price seemed reasonable for time spent. Plan to hire again to do some additional work resurfacing living room ceiling.

Peter had a competitive bid (slightly lower than the other bid we received) and he offered to do the work in our baby's room without sanding (by sponging it) to keep down the dust which we really appreciated. His main downside is that he was late (by 20 minutes or more) every time he was supposed to show up. Since I'm at home right now it wasn't a big inconvenience but if I was taking time off of work to be there, I'd be unhappy. That said, he's very nice and does a very good job so if punctuality isn't a great concern, I would recommend him.
Description of Work: Peter repaired numerous plaster cracks in our child's room and a ceiling in another room where the tape and drywall were damaged by a water leak from the room above. The work required several visits to our house to smooth out the drywall and reapply.
