Phinney Ridge was very professional and friendly. We contracted with them to do some repair work besides painting, which worked out well, as we didn't have to find vendors on our own. They explained each step in the process and contacted us when they had any questions. If a problem arose, they worked through it with us until it was solved. When we decided to have our house repainted we knew it would be a big deal. The house was built in 1921 and the original paint was lead based and badly peeling. We contacted four companies for estimates and consultations, only three replied. We chose Phinney Ridge Painting LLC (they were the middle of the bidding range) because Nik (the owner and estimator) spent time to describe to us how the work would be done and why the lead paint had to be completely stripped from the house. Along with having the house painted, we were also having our old rotted deck replaced and four windows replaced too. This created a scheduling issue for getting all the work done during the three months of summer and into early autumn. Phinney Ridge Painting [PRP] worked very well in conjunction with our other contractor to complete the work in the timeframe we had allotted. The crews from PRP who did the stripping, priming and painting always arrived early and worked all day. When we greeted them at the house we were always told that we should announce if we had any issues, concerns or questions about the work being done. At the end of each day the crew cleaned up the areas around the house and folded up their drop-cloths. All the work was done to our satisfaction and the house looks wonderful now. We recommend that you consider PRP for your exterior painting needs rather than choosing a lower bidder.

Nic came out and was very helpful looking over the whole job, clarifying all issues, etc., before sending us the bid. Sam saw the job through. They were considerate, communicative, knowledgeable and professional. They did an absolutely beautiful job for a very fair price. We are all happy! I recommend them without reservation.

Went very well. Very careful three man crew and general manager who were all very responsive to our needs and our concerns. Very thorough masking and covering of vulnerable areas and thorough clean-up every day and at job's end. You might find a cheaper price but we feel we made a good choice. Recommended.

Everything went extremely smoothly. Sam, the general manager, was professional, prompt and a good communicator. Small problems that arose (it's an old house!) were addressed creatively. The guys who did the painting and carpentry were prompt and thorough, did a really nice job on old oak cabinets and walls that hadn't been touched in over 20 years. Everything was done on schedule, and they cleaned up completely at the end of each day, allowing us to continue using the kitchen throughout the process. Having a free consultation with an interior decorator to help choose colors was a nice touch and very helpful. The kitchen looks fantastic and we are very satisfied. Would not hesitate to use them again.

Sam, the general manager at Phinney Ridge Painting, visited my house to do the estimate. His organization was one of three that I contacted for a quote. Sam was on time and professional. My dog liked him the best of the 3 estimators because he wasn?t presumptuous. He didn?t get offended when the dog did his job and checked him out. He was patient. Nor did he try to overplay his hand with me. We had an honest conversation about the scope or work. He sent the estimate over as promised within a couple of days. His price wasn?t the cheapest, neither was it the most expensive. He and his business partner were willing to negotiate, and I appreciated that. We were able to come up with a cost that fit my budget and got nearly all of the work I wanted done included. We scaled back on trim painting because it was the most labor intensive part of the project. I chose Phinney Ridge over the lowest cost provider because I had doubts about the quality of the painters that lowest bidder would send into my home. Interior painting is a personal and intimate thing. The painters would have access to my whole house when I am not home. Also, I would see a lot of them because I work from home. I had to be able to trust them. When it came time to do the job, Phinney used 3 painters. One of them was what I?d describe as a ?master painter? with over a decade of experience. One was a newbie, and I?m not sure how experienced the third was. I trusted 2 out of 3. One guy had an attitude problem, but I doubted he was a thief or anything like that, just not the greatest worker. The work completed by the less experienced guys needed extra touch-ups at the end, which were completed by the crew supervisor, another highly experienced and delightful person to have around I always expect problems when contracting for work of this nature. What distinguishes a contractor in my eyes is how well they deal with their own quality control and unforeseen problems. Phinney Ridge Painting seeks to make everything right and leave the customer happy. That?s why I?ll use them for the remaining rooms in house.

They are just great! They did this same service for me last year, so I contacted them again this year. The guys were right on time. I found that I was missing some lights and needed to go purchase more. They suggested they would go clean gutters at another house and come back later in the day so I wouldn't be paying them for time standing around. The lights look great! They also cleaned my gutters. I had some concerns about the gutters the next day. At no cost to me, they came back, checked everything out and made some repairs even though that was not part of their job. I am so grateful and I recommend them highly!

Phinney Ridge Painting did a great job from start to finish of prepping and painting our house. The cost included a complimentary color consultation, which was a big help to us. They did an extremely thorough job of prepping our house. Nik, Sam, and their entire team were professional, punctual, and pleasant to work with. We are delighted with the final paint job and have gotten several unsolicited compliments about how well it was done. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. In fact, we've already used their home maintenances services and have been equally pleased.

They worked out fine. They seemed rather rushed. The four hours under the Big Deal ended up being more like two hours. They were very nice and did a good job.

Went great. They came out on time, hung the lights. I never called them back to remove them - that was my fault though. I was traveling a lot in January and while they did reach out to me, I just didn't have the time to get back to them.

I was not home when the work was performed. The results were excellent

I bought a big deal from Angie's list for gutter cleaning and roof cleaning. Their price was much cheaper than other providers. My gutter was definitely clogged because water was cascading down in a small waterfall. There is also a modest amount of moss on my roof. The workers were on time and polite. They cleaned up my gutter very well. As to roof cleaning, they did not exactly get rid of the moss on my roof. They poured stuff on the moss to let it die. They explained to me in advance that they don't use force because it could damage my roof. They also had a little bit more time left and I asked them to power wash my walkway. This part I am not too happy with. Even though they did a good job really cleaning up the dirty stuff. It seemed to me that the pressure washer may be set at too high a setting because some of the small stone embedded on my walkway was blast off so that now there are small holes on my walkway. I was told to wait until the moss died to call them so that they can blow the dead moss off my roof. I waited for almost 2 months and called them. They showed up and blew some dead moss off my roof and applied more moss killer on one area where moss still seems to be alive. Now, as far as I can tell, all the moss are dead. But they are still on my roof. They told me that they consider roof maintenance to be an ongoing thing. I should call them every year and ask them to maintain the roof in the same way. Given the price, I think what they did is reasonable and good quality overall. But if you want to see all the moss gone in one go. They are not the company for you.

Excellent customer service. I was not able to use Phinney Ridge Painting because my schedule just did not match, but they were outstanding in their communications with me - letting me know any/all options and availability. We went with Phinney Ridge Painting. They do pressure washing. They were on Angie's List.

I called to schedule an appointment with Sam for an estimate on some interior work. The time came and and went, Fifteen minutes later I called, but received no answer. Thirty minutes later I called and still nothing. Finally I got a call back and was told they got three call from this number with no acknowledgement that we even had an appointment. I said you were supposed to come for an estimate which I had set with him, but he forgot or had it on the wrong calendar. He finally arrived. The meeting went well and then he left. He said nothing about when I would get an estimate. I called back on 4/27 to ask about it and he said he was running behind, but he never told me that before or when I would hear anything. And here it is four days later and I still haven't heard anything.

Everything went perfectly. Initial appointment set up was easy. The crew was on time and the work was done efficiently and in a timely manner.

The arrived at the scheduled time and went right to work.

PRP communicated well, was generally on time, worked continuously, cleaned up, and did exactly what was asked. Their work was solid. I'd use them again.

Due to some unforseen issues, I've had to postpone the work. However, the staff at Phinney Ridge have all been highly professional and responsive during my calls.

It went so well that we are seriously considering have Phinney Ridge Painting to paint a large room that is 25' x 20 '. This room has vaulted ceilings and will require probably 3 -5 days to complete. I decided to wait until May because our house has been in a state of remodel for several months. Because of the efficiency and professionalism of the staff from Phinney Ridge Painting, I think we will move ahead now. Obviously, this means we would recommend the company and the quality of their staff and work.
