I took my lawn mower to Pete, and he asked me if I completely drained the carburetor last fall. Nope. I left the mower with him. A few hours later, he had it fixed. I returned to his place, tested the mower (started like magic), paid up, and took it home. Pete impressed the heck out of me by giving me a hand-written sheet of steps to take to prepare the mower for storage in the fall!

We wouldn't go back there ever again - they were not polite - in our opinion - they weren't honest! We definitely told them - this is warranty work - we do NOT want to pay anything - yet they took the mower in - KNOWING they were going to charge us for just looking at it!

Service was completed quickly, thoroughly. After servicing, Pete had me start the mower prior to taking it home. Explained to me that leaving although I had drained the tank of gas when I stopped mowing in Nov, that some gas remained in the carburetor. Not good for engine performance.

Pete knows mowers and what it takes to service them properly. I dropped off my Honda mower at his shop and by the end of the day he had it serviced and ready for me to pick up. His price was very reasonable for the work performed. I will most definitely use Pete again.

After my edger stopped working I found Pete on Angie's List and called to bring it in. I brought it in that day and Pete indicated that he would diagnose what was wrong and have it ready to go by Sunday. This time of year can be a difficult turn-around time for lawn equipment, but sure enough he completed the work in 3 days and my edger is as good as new. He runs a small operation out of his home on Beacon Hill.

Pete has expert knowledge of small engine repair. He promptly and successfully repaired the pressure washer. He also offered advise on how to better care for the pressure washer to help prevent future problems. Pete can be a little gruff, but don't let that be off-putting. His work is excellent and the price reasonable.

It went really well. I called him on a holiday weekend July 5th. I dropped off the pressure washer the same afternoon about 5 pm. To my surprise he called the next day a Sunday in less than 24 hours. This guy is amazing!!

Picked it up and received detailed instruction on what had gone wrong, what caused the problem, and how to prevent similar problems in the future. This was an all-around stellar experience. I brought the lawnmower and back-pack blower up to his house without calling, which I was told by his wife I should always do. He was out servicing a riding mower, so his wife took me out to his garage and had me drop off the two items. This was on a Friday afternoon and by Sunday evening he called and said both of the two items were fixed and to come and get them as soon as I could because he said he has very little space to work on lawn equipment. Before I left his place, he had me start both the back-pack blower and the lawn mower to show that both had been fixed. He also gave me the air filter for the lawn mower, which had to be replaced. He gave me a lecture stating that both pieces of lawn equipment were not running because of bad gas left over the winter and then gave me a handout explaining how to prevent the problem. I have since used the lawnmower three times and it is running well. The back-pack blower was used once and now is running well also. I was very satisfied with the speed of the repair, the quality and the very reasonable price for both items.

Sears had quoted 3 weeks to even look at my mower. I dropped it off with Pete on a Friday and was ready by Monday. It's like having a neighbor who can fix your mower!

My experience overall went very well. He was very straight forward with me. He was also professional and friendly. The pricing was reasonable. I would highly recommend him to others.

etPete picked it up wed evening and had it back by sat morning. He kept me up to date and was on time for pickup and return. he knows his buisiness and carefully explaned everything for me.He also brought the damaged parts to show me what was repaired.He also informed me on how to take better care so it will last another ten years. He just charged me for 2 1/2 hours when I know he worked on it alot longer.

Outstanding service. I called Pete on Friday afternoon. He picked up our mower in Woodinville the next morning since we had no way to transport it. He fixed our problems, serviced mower, and called me Saturday afternoon to explain everything he had done. We set up a time on Sunday morning, and he showed up promptly as scheduled. He explained everything he did, and everything we needed to do to maintain the mower. Excellent communication. You just don't see service like this anymore.

Our lawn mower would not start as it sat in our garage all winter long. We took it over to Pete's and he quoted us a price of $85.00 to fix it. We said this was fine and left the lawn mower with him. He called us later in the day and said it was fixed and was only going to cost $35.00. Pere is a very honest and extremely knowledgable. Pete is great!

Phoned to set up service and dropped off the mower to Pete. We had not tried to start the mower this year, and it had been used very little in the prior two years. (My neighbors horses mowed for us :)! We had run the gas tank empty, but he explained that the gas lines and carburetor likely had some gasoline in it, that may have caused some damage. I had heard and read that the higher percentage of ethanol in fuel is causing a lot of problems in small engines, especially if stored. We have used gas saver, which diminishes the problem, but doesn't completely solve it. So, his information was right in line with what I'd just been told and read. We agreed that IF a new carburetor was needed, he would phone first, since it would add about $100 to the repair cost. And, he was very clear that if he found any problems that were electrical or otherwise more complicated than the tuneup and possible carburetor replacement, he would not be able to do them. He would phone me, and would give me the choice of his bringing the mower to Honda in Lynnwood for diagnosis and repair, or I could pick it up and arrange for this additional repair myself. I asked if the mower could be ready 5 days later, since I would be going out of town, and he said if nothing extra was needed, that would be fine. And, at each contact, he requested a phone call with a time I'd arrive to drop off and pick up the mower. (He operates a legal business from his home, and is very flexible with drop off and pick up times. When I was unsure of pickup time, he gave me a phone number for his wife, so that she would be available while he was out.) He was available at pickup, and he explained that the carburetor had some damage, but not enough to require replacement. The mower would sound uneven especially when cold, but the surging sound would lessen as it warms up and would not cause problems. He reviewed instructions verbally, and gave a printout about the best way to prevent further carburetor damage due to old gas with ethanol sitting in the carburetor. He made sure I could start the mower and heard the revving so I'd know exactly what he meant. The mower started easily. In fact, it was the easiest start since it was brand new! He helped load it back up, and provided a receipt and maintenance info. His manner is straightforward and clear, if a little gruff. I love that! You know exactly what he will do. He tells you he does small engine repair with the emphasis on engine. It's a bonus that he will pickup and drop off, for those who need this service. And, that he'll tranport mowers to Lynnwood Honda and coordinate with their service department IF needed, is great! He is retired, and this is a small business that I hope he keeps operating for several years to come! A genuine diamond in the rough who gives great service! A total pleasure to deal with!

Not only does the mower run well, but Pete explained what was wrong, what 'sounds' were good or not good, what to expect in the future and how to best schedule future maintenance to be most effective and least expensive.

Pete was great - picked it up earlier than promised, returned it earlier than promised, communicated well, exercized good judgment as to what needed doing and what didn't. Results very satisfactory. Price very reasonable for the amount of work needed and the distance driven to pick up/drop off. Highly recommended.

Pete scheduled a time to pick up my mower, then phoned again just before leaving his shop. He tuned up the mower and returned it several hours later that afternoon. Mower works great! Great customer service and he did a great job tuning up the old mower!

Pete is a no-nonsense, honest, and efficient worker. He picked up my generator on a Saturday and returned it the following day with complete explanation of what he did and what I should do to prevent further problems. Would definitely use him again.

Pete was awesome. You can tell he has high standards for what he does. Definitely worth the drive from North Bend to Seattle to get our riding lawn mower serviced! He was great at returning our phone calls, gave great directions and we couldn't believe how quickly he called to say it was finished - 4 days! We will definitely be returning if we need any small engine help!
