They were good, great. Their customer service was really helpful. They set me up with a contractor, like a referral which I used. I liked the contractor. I was happy with everything.
Description of Work: Pavingstone Supply Inc supplied paving stones to the contractor that I used.

The work was done on time and for the estimated price. The new paving integrates well into existing paving. The drain pipe and french drain work perfectly to take the water away from the house.
Description of Work: Our house was remodeled in 2011 and as a result, we ended up with a rain spout that would have emptied out in our back yard. We weren't sure how to divert the water flow away from the house in a way that would look nice, so we asked Jon Burgett for advice. He recommended running a pipe underground, ending in a french drain under our flower garden. In addition, he modified the hardscape in the back yard to integrate the changes from the remodel into the existing design. Jon had done the original paving/landscaping work in our back yard 6 or 7 years earlier.

An individual, claiming to be a contractor, purchased pavers from this company, which were the wrong color. I later found out, when the individual continually failed to show up, that he was using someone else's contractor's license without his permission. I immediately phoned Pavingstone Supply to find out about exchanging the pavers left on my property. I was treated poorly by June who did not speak English well and refused to let me talk to anyone else. When I asked to speak to the manager, she said I couldn't. When I asked why she told me that the manager, who she referred to as "she," would not be back for 2 weeks. I then asked to speak to the owner. She refused. I asked for the owner's name. She told me that she couldn't give out that information. I asked to speak to someone else. She told me there wasn't anyone else. I had an email from them with the name "Scott." I phoned back and asked for "Scott." When I started to tell him what happened, he put me on hold for quite a bit of time and was then hostile when he returned. When he asked me what I wanted and I explained about asking to speak to the manager and/or owner, he stated he was the manager, not the woman who was out of town. I explained that June had refused to let me speak to the manager. I told him that I would like to file a complaint and his response was, "We don't take complaints." I then referred him to their website where they claim to be interested in customer feedback and even have a customer evaluation form. Obviously, this customer is not interested in customer service. Fortunately, there are other providers of the same products in the Seattle area and I would encourage people to go elsewhere.
Description of Work: Attempted to get information about product delivered to my property.

John Burgett is the owner of the company and he is very knowledgeable, friendly and excellent. If we need contractors in conjunction with our work, they find one for us. They provide good service.
Description of Work: Pavingstone Supply INC. replaced a whole driveway, put down some painting stones and put patio painting stones in the back. They finished the patio and the driveway. They are going to come back and do the rest of the pathway and put different stones. They have done 3 to 4 jobs for us and they are really excellent.

This company's website advertises its services to support do-it-yourself homeowners. In reality, homeowners are second-class citizens, with signs posted that serving contractors is always their highest priority. The staff that works in the exterior stone yard is not knowledgeable about the products and unable to answer basic questions about the materials for sale. I brought in a sample (from their inventory) of the stone I wanted, and the owner spent five minutes estimating my project for me and calculating how much material I would need. My invoice specified 1.5"-2" thick flagstone, but they delivered 4" stone. As flagstone is sold by weight and not by surface area, the delivery covered only half of the area I needed. My only option was to go back and buy twice as much as estimated, doubling my costs. I understand that stone is a natural product with variations, but my expectation is that the company should be able to provide accurate estimates and deliver the product that was ordered. The owner shrugged it off and said that if I wanted accurate amounts, I should go through a contractor and not him directly. He also refused a request for a discount on buying the additional stone that the project now required. The experience was terrible from start to finish, I felt that I was deliberately ripped off, and I will never do any further business with this company.
Description of Work: Based on a detailed drawing and specification, this company told me what type of product to use, estimated the amount of material required to complete the project and delivered the materials to my house.
