Terry is extremely forth-right. He communicates well with you. Generally they do really good work. The only hesitant I have is on the finish work - I wasn't as happy with them. But on the framing and siding work, they were excellent. Terry, who runs the company, communicates really well. He sits down and puts together a plan. If he deviates from the plan he lets you know ahead of time. He is extremely trustworthy. The only thing I would caution is if you want any finish work done, I would get a clear understanding of what he is going to do first. Because sometimes I was a bit vague and things did not turn out the way I expected. But on basic framing and siding, he is excellent.

Overall we were very pleased with our experience with Paradigm. We had a great crew working on the house. They were very professional, showed up each day on time and worked hard all day. We live in a small neighborhood and they were sensitive to the impact of the project on the neighbors and did what they could to mitigate it. While we acted as the "general contractor" Terry and his crew kept the job moving forward and recommended possible subs etc.. When we hired a sub, say the roofer, they worked closely with that sub to make sure they understood the job and to make sure contingent tasks were completed before the sub showed up to work. They were also outstanding problem solvers. Given the age and condition of our house, little went as planned and they did a great job of coming up with solutions to a wide range of challenges. For example, when items that came up that would involve the structural engineer, they would develop some ideas, take photos and email the ideas and photos to the engineer for him to consider. By doing so we avoided expensive site visits by the engineer. Paradigm is also very transparent when it comes to billing and project expenses. Each month we would receive a spreadsheet that included daily labor logs, itemized material lists including invoice numbers and summary billing information. While not Paradigm's fault, the job lasted much longer and cost considerably more than anticipated. Our biggest frustration came with the estimation of costs; even in areas where they have considerable experience (i.e framing), the numbers varied significantly between what they projected and the actual costs. That said, they also worked very hard to "make it right" by offering discounted services and charging us the estimated costs for tasks toward the end of the job (i.e. siding), regardless of how much time it took them. A word about the "B" rating on quality. Historically, Paradigm was a framing outfit. As such, some tasks such as siding, doors and other more finish related jobs that they took on for our job haven't been part of their expertise and in some areas it shows. However, the overall construction of house is really solid and we are very happy with the final outcome. At the end of the day, this is what we cared about most. We would absolutely use Paradigm again and would not hesitate to recommend them to family and friends. .

He did a great job. His crew was excellent. He fixed architectural flaws that the architect would not come back and help with. He basically saved the job. He is very professional.
