O'Neill Plumbing

We had thought the washing machine had broken. It turns out the drain from the washing machine into the sewer line was clogged somehow. It was obvious this was a plumbing problems, maybe ot cut and fix some pipes around some of the gaskets. One of the joints was spewing water. They solved the problem and explained that while they could change the piping and it probably would be better in the long run. In the short run, it did not matter as long as the drain was clear. I was grateful for the performance. The guy could have said, you absolutely should do that. Here is a $1000 bill. Instead he save me money which is typical with my relationship with them. The guy who came out was named Nels. I am personally grateful for him. This is a long standing relationship that has stood the test of time.

The team was great. Very professional, prompt, and walked me through everything throughly. They even cleaned up the whole bathroom before they left.

I was quoted 2-4 hours, plus materials. The plumber who gave me the estimate told me he was going to bring an apprentice to make it go faster. Took 3.5 hours, and charged me full rate for both.

Nelson was great. He was knowledgeable, quick, and profession.

Went well and quick as they were able to push out the clog at about 25 feet, professional as well. Price was what I expected, I didn't really comparison shop so I can't speak for it's competitiveness. They set up an appointment and said if something came up earlier they would come. They ended up coming a day earlier which was fine for me. Asked about future work and he was able to provide several suggestions.

Two toilets needed attention. Ultimately, we replaced one completely. Ben and Mike from O'Neill Plumbing were courteous, approachable, and did a great job explaining what they were going to do, and we appreciated their approach to solving problems in steps, from least invasive up. In other words, "We'll try this first. If that doesn't fix the problem, then we can try this next step, with these impacts." They kept us informed every step of the way and were happy to answer our questions. They paid attention to keeping our home clean (booties, job site, etc). We would definitely hire this company again for future work.

I'm happy with the completed work. The technician was knowledgeable and did a good job. My only gripe is the cost. From the time he pulled up to the house to the time he left was 3 hours, and that included the time it took him to complete the service report/invoice. I was charged $280.00 per hour for 3 hours, for a total of $840.00 just for labor! Now I understand ONeill needs to make a profit, and I want them to make a profit, but $280.00 per hour?? Seriously?? Maybe this is more of a Seattle issue than an O'Neill issue, but as a comparison, I recently had a licensed plumber out to our Scottsdale, AZ home and their labor rate is $150.00 per hour - almost half of the O'Neill hourly rate! The plumbing firm is a long-established, AZ company with a great reputation. Will definitely look around next time for a more reasonable rate, if that is possible!!

Ultimately, it went fine. Modest floor damage, which was unnecessary. Had to request a reinstall, same visit, for proper alignment.

They called, arrived EARLY (yay!), explained what they were going to do, did it fast, showed me the work, cleaned up perfectly. I will definitely use them again. I didn't realize the going rate for plumbing was $140 per half hour - it's been a long time since I hired a plumber.

Mel's showed up on time. Put 100 feet of snake in and out in an hour. Worked steady and did not try to sell more service than was required.

We were told by a hot water tank repair/installer that our high water pressure would deem our hot water tank warranty null and void because of our water pressure. O'Neil came, checked it out--found it fine and "no charge"! We know of many others who had the same experience with O'Neil's.

O'Neill Plumbing employees were all highly skilled, worked hard, gave sound advice, were sensitive to issues involving relationships among multiple families affected by the broken sewer line, and used both skill and the latest technology for both problem analysis and fixing the break. I am completely satisfied with their work in every way.

That's the best plumber, I think. I've been in this house for 33 years. They've done work about two times in here and they've always been good. Plumbers are all expensive. I was surprised they got right out here and fixed it for me. They fixed it right away. They came real quick.

Not well on the gas line. Probably wouldn't hire them to do that again. Only for plumbing (water issues)

After they left I noticed that it leaked. They scheduled an appointment and came right back out. Staff were very friendly.

O neill plumbing offered great service and I would hire them in a heartbeat next time

It went okay. It took longer than expected and the cost was therefore higher than expected.

We found them angie's list many years ago. They are the best! Arrive on time. Do great work and always find a way to save us money a plumbing job. We have an old home with old plumbing and really rely on a good plumber. ONeill is the best!

I had initially contacted another plumbing but they turned out to be so unprofessional that left without doing the work. I then found O'Neill Plumbing and they are awesome! They came and fixed the issue. They were very professional and friendly, and got the job done well. Finally, their price was about half what the other plumber quoted me! I will definitely hire them again.

Wow, O'Neill's Plumbing is fantastic. They dealt with my frantic situation and came out the next day. Sure enough there was a ton of sediment in the fixture which was impacting the pressure and I never needed new plumbing to begin with. They also pointed out the deficits from the contractor's plumber. I decided that I would be using them moving forward, with or without, the contractor's assistance. They have been out to correct the work and are scheduled to complete the job next week.

A review with a caveat: O'Neill responded promptly, their plumber was very professional and knowledgable, and the toilet install went just fine. The downside: the price. They tell you their rates are $140/hour, because I guess saying their rates are $280 an hour sounds not great. I had a toilet installed, and it cost me nearly 900 bucks. That's more than double the quotes I got from everyone else. Having said that, they came a day after I called, when everyone else told me two weeks. You pay for service and promptness, I guess. But caveat emptor.

Show up when they said and got the job done quickly.
