Both times the technicians were prompt, honest and didn't attempt to cross-sell services or products we did not need. In fact, in both instances the tech erred to the conservative side, discouraging services or products we thought we needed regarding repair and maintenance. They explained why the requested products or services weren't needed and what we should look for to indicate a need.. The techs were knowledgeable, experienced, thorough and friendly. It was clear they knew their job well and knew how to speak in layman's terms to provide examples I could easily understand to illustrate a point or assessment. We have now designated O'Neill's as our go-to service provider for all of our plumbing and HVAC needs.

We called O'Neill Plumbing to determine why we had small black particles in our water - after some research online we assumed it was something to do with our old hot water heater but weren't sure. It turns out that the plumber didn't know the cause of the problem either and didn't instill a lot of confidence in his solution being the right fix. He ultimately replaced our expansion tank (small tank on top of the hot water heater) thinking that the bladder in the tank had failed. So far, that seems to have fixed the problem, although we haven't had enough time to fully test the solution. Scheduling the appointment wasn't an issue - had to wait about a week for their first available appointment, but our problem didn't require immediate attention. The appointment was scheduled for 2-4pm. At 3:15 on the day of the service, I received a call that the plumber was running behind and would be at the house around 4:15. The plumber actually showed up at 5:15. Typically I wouldn't be too h****** the guy except that he didn't even acknowledge the fact he was late - a simple apology and acknowledgment of the time he was taking would have gone a long way. The kicker to this all was his lack of respect for our house - he wore his grungy shoes around the house that left a dirt trail from the front door across the hardwood floors to the stain he left with his first step on the carpet. Overall, I was expecting more from this company. With such high reviews on Angie's List we expected better knowledge, professionalism and respect for our time and space along with quality service. While I can't complain about the work that was done itself, how it was done left us not wanting to call O'Neill for future plumbing issues.

John came and took out old water heater and replaced it in a very timely, professional manner. He also installed a way for it to release water into the garage, instead of the wood floor. That was a surprise but much appreciated.

It went perfectly. I thought there might be some complications because I couldn't find out any information about the leaking old unit. I have done this type of work before, in a previous townhouse (change out InstaHot units) but there was little room under there and I wasn't sure about some things. It wasn't particularly inexpensive, but it had to be done, and plumbing can be pretty difficult work.

He was honest with me and told me not to waste my money on some items that may be necessary if I wanted to really update the house. I appreciated that. Also, he did do the job well!

We had a great experience from the time I called to get the initial service until our two toilets were replaced and shower fixed. We had two different plumbers at two different times and both arrived on-time, were friendly and very knowledgable. We completely understood what we were getting for the amount of money we were paying. The estimate I got for replacing the toilets and the cost of labor was right on, and they provided a discount for Angie's List members. We would use them again without hesitation!

They were great, they were absolutely great. I just feel like I can really trust them, I believe they tell me the truth about what the situation is and I've used them in my own home and I've used them in the rental property, I just have a history with them, their reputation is excellent.

I am a 100% disabled vet and had purchased a new faucet which I was not able to install, so I called this company based on other reviews. Plumber arrived promptly, asked a few questions and started to remove old faucet. He let me know they would guarantee their work but not the faucet because they had not provided it. Fair enough. This was a very straight forward install, area was clean with everything removed, with open easy access. No drilling extra holes, just put it in. Plumber took an hour to get the replacement in and I figured about $150 cost. He presented me with a bill for $240 and I nearly fell out of my chair. When plumber left, a puddle of water was underneath new faucet, so I had to wait a day to see it it was leaking or just spillage from the old faucet. It was just a spill he neglected to clean up. Put O'Neill Plumbing at the bottom of your list for plumbing needs.

After receiving a $2500 utilities bill, we determined there was a leak in the pipe from the street meter to the house connection. Yikes! A contractor friend came over that evening to help me inspect things and to get the water turned off. This was original plumbing installed when house was built in 1956. The shut off valve at the house couldn't be budged and the shut off valve at the meter was too worn to turn, so city of Seattle had to come out that night and install a new valve just so we could turn off the water. I called O'Neill Plumbing in the morning. I've used them a few times in the past for sewer pipe clean out, water heater installtion, drain blockages, etc. They have alwasy been great. It did take a couple hours for their underground expert to get back to me, but once he did, Cevin (yes it's spelled wit a C) was just super. After listening attentively over the phone to all my details and worries and seeing the situation in person, he advised that I not spend the money on a leak detection service but put that sum toward the cost of a new line. As he explained it, the old galvanized pipe is iffy to fix, there may be other areas ready to break, and the city is responsible for only the short distance from the meter to the sidewalk, so I would be spending the money eventually anyway. I've had lousy water pressure since moving here 14 years ago, so that all made sense to me. No time is ideal for this, and I was worried about my front yard being destroyed and especially about the ancient, humongous maple tree whose root system is massive. After the phone converstation, Cevin came to my house within an hour to take a look. He explained they had a drill that would work in my yard, drilling just a small tunnel from the street to the house. They would abandon the old line which runs right under the big tree and go a new route and a new connection at the house. He also suggested copper pipe since the tree root system will continue to expand and the stronger pipe would ward off future problems. I had already been advised by my contractor friend that this would be a good plan, so I had no doubt that Cevin was giving me the right advice. Plus, I've had great work from this company through the past 14 years. The two-man crew was there promptly at 8 am the next day and began work. When I got home from work later that day, I had water service restored. The only glitch was the gunk from the old line had plugged the toilet tank valve. Had I been home during the day, they would have tested and fixed that then. As it was, they were there promptly again the next morning and Mike fixed that within minutes. Cevin arranged for the city to come inspect the installation before the holes at the street and house locations were covered up. Important to do if I want to get rebates on my water usage bills, and so great that they took care of all that, plus getting the city there to location other underground things that needed to be avoided, and I could avoid missing more work time. When I got home from work that second day, the yard looked as if nothing had ever happened. I lost just one juniper bush, which I wasn't attached to, and the big maple tree hadn't been given much to worry about. Such a relief. I have great water pressure now and the water tastes better. I think this was a problem long in the making and though I did not relish spending big bucks, I'm happy to have it taken care and very happy to have O'Neill be the company who fixed it. I have great confidence in them.

The customer service personnel Kelly is always spot on, top notch, and makes the reservation process easy, the parts department ensured they had the correct disposal for the tech to install. Steve the plumber was on time, did a great job with no problems and was clean and efficient. I've used O'Neill previously and they always stand behind their work and I would recommend and use again.

They replaced a bowl and tightened our facets to prevent leaking. The service was ok and neat but expensive.

They guy came in and I showed them the invoice from the last time. We agreed to change a valve and the charge was for the material.

The initial impression was good on Friday 1/2/15 They have a 24/7 chat on their website and within minutes of providing my details through the chat one of their plumbers called me to discuss the problem and schedule an appointment We agreed that he would come the following day (Saturday). On Saturday at 6pm nobody had shown up yet so I called the plumber back and he told me then that they don't service my area (Snoqualmie). I asked why didn't he call back to let me know and his only excuse was that his computer was down (never mind that he phoned me from his cell phone, did his history of calls disappear too?). Very bad professionalism. It begs the question of the value of Angies List if the top rated plumber in the Seattle area is this unprofessional.

John was prompt and came to the house during the time he was supposed to. He was friendly, nice, and easy to work with. He worked efficiently and explained what he was doing while he did it. He even made sure I understood how to reset my garbage disposal if I needed to. I will only use O'Neill Plumbing from now on.

Steve was prompt and courteous. He fixed the toilet very quickly. I was very impressed with the service, from booking the initial appointment, to the finished product. I will certainly call O'Neill Plumbing in the future for plumbing needs.

We had a warranty company out and they didn't communicate and didn't finish. We had O'Neill and the first worker was not able to trouble shoot and they sent someone else. They did not appear to charge us for the person who could not figure it out. We had to wait for the parts but I have a hot shower with enough water to get wet. After 2 months of delays I am extremely grateful.

Steve had all of the needed parts on his truck. Most plumbers would have had to make another trip to get the parts and that would have added more costs. He was neat and wore shoe covers to protect my carpet. He left all areas clean.

They were very helpful. I needed a higher toilet and they were able to locate one and get it installed. Everything was great. Everyone was very professional, helpful, accomodating, and did everything with a smile.

Jeff came on time and was friendly and professional. Replaced valve but then noticed the replacement was a defective product (from manufacturer) so replaced that with new one. Work done efficiently.

I made the appointment online and it was easy to set up. Response time was quick. The work I wanted done wasn't an emergency, so having to schedule it a week out was no problem. The overall job went very well. Steve arrived on time. He knew exactly what needed to be done and went right to work. The area was nicely prepared to avoid any scratches, etc., to our newly-finished hardwood floors. The job took a total of two hours to complete and the work area was left nice and clean. No problems thus far with the installation, so I am very happy with the work.

I called O'Neill Plumbing this morning to resolve a clogged toilet. They had a plumber in the area, Steve, and was told he could be at my home in 30 minutes. Steve showed up within the time given, inspected to clogged toilet and since it was sitting for a few weeks it cleared itself on the first flush. Since there was no work performed there was a no charge for the visit. If you are looking for a Plumbing company that has integrity and you can trust, based on my experiences today, I would choose O'Neill Plumbing every time!
