Description of Work: Needed a toilet reset . Tech. arrived on time was dressed presentably and was very pleasant and professional . We would use them again without reservation.

Description of Work: Repaired leaks underr a bathroom vanity sink. Required removal of part of back wall to reach "nipple" which was corroded, leaking and frozen on. Very professional repair. Also repaired a second faucet in basement.

Description of Work: Home inspection found possible leak under bathrooms. Called O'Neil Plumbing and asked to speak with someone, was told folks busy but would call back. Owner Tim called in a short while, I explained situation and he arranged for someone to come check it out in 3 days. Randie showed up per appointment, was friendly, thorough, said work needed seemed minor, and that he'd email an estimate the next day which he did. We're passing the estimate onto house buyers with suggestion that they use O'Neil for the work.

Description of Work: We had a new water heater installed which failed to provide adequate amounts of hot water due to a pretty rare malfunction. However, once it was determined it was defective Greg decided to have a new one installed which was a bit of an upgrade at no charge. The newer unit works great, and everyone we dealt with was very pleasant and professional. Greg even asked me to call him over the weekend if there was any problem with the replacement heater. The plumber who came over was professional and efficient. We will be calling them again next time we have a plumbing issue.

Description of Work: O'Neil showed up on time. Did good work and completed on time and on budget. However they did not get a permit or inspection for the work.

Description of Work: I called O'Neill Plumbing due to the Angie reviews. The hose to one of our toilets was leaking and my own attempt to repair just made it worse. Dale from O'Neill arrived 1/2 hour after our call and fixed it properly with a new better hose and attached the new handle. He was friendly and provided valuable information about the job at hand as he worked. The bill was extremely fair and we used our Angie coupon and were thrilled with the excellent work as well as the price which was $95.00 BEFORE using the coupon. In all my years, this is the best experience I have ever had with a plumbing company in the Seattle-Bellevue area.

Description of Work: This was the second time that we used Oneill Plumbing. We initially used them in November '11 for a running toilet, which ultimately leaked into our family room. Dale came out and while he couldn't diagnose the problem with certainty without tearing up the floor, he made an educated guess on what was causing the problem and resolved it. Months later, we haven't had any more problems. We were so impressed with his thoroughness that we called him back out to reduce the water pressure in our house. He arrived on time, installed the water pressure reducer and got the job done under his original estimate of time necessary to complete the work. We will continue to use the company for our plumbing needs.

Description of Work: This is an excellent company. The water line to my house was leaking. I called because I thought it needed to be repaired right a way on a Saturday. They could have charged me a lot to come out and look, but let me know that it was unlikely to be an emergency if I did not see water. They came out the following Monday and replaced the pipe in the yard. They even put back the sod. I will definitely use this company for any plumbing needs I have.

Description of Work: First time I've ever used these guys. I called the receptionist on the weekend explained the issue (repetitive leaks under my bathroom sink, non-responsive to tightening and a pipe that had suddenly split apart) and she said that they could come out, but it wasn't exactly an emergency so I could save money by scheduling it for Monday. I just turned the water off and used the kitchen sink instead for a day or two. I was impressed with this professional knowledgeable first contact. I was thinking I would need to replace pipes under my sink, but the plumber very nicely told me that's not needed and instead just put in one new part. I appreciated that he showed me his work when finished and told me what my last plumber may have done incorrectly, which I suspected. He also spent some extra time giving me some information about my water heater, which I sprung on him at the last minute. I felt like I was talking with a friend and glad I called them as I was ready to shell out a lot more money than I had to. Thanks!

Description of Work: We had a leak in the kitchen faucet and asked O'Neill for help. The recetionist was friendly and we asked someone to give call 30 minute advance call before arrivial. We called again on the service date as reminder for the 30 mins advance call. Unfortunately, the plumber did not call us 30 mins in advance. He said that was the receptionist's job and he was not told to call us in advance. Other than that, he performed the repair as requested in a timely manner. The plumber was professional and knowledgable.

Description of Work: I had Oneil Plumbing come out once in the past. I had a small pool of water in my crawl space and was in search of a leak. They diagnosed the problem as a small welding imperfection left behind by the plumbing company that plumbed my bath for a shower. Rather than offering to fix it for an exhorbatant fee they suggested I call the first company. Even though it had been quite some time the first company fixed the issue at no charge. That was great but some other issues kept me from keeping them as my plumbing company. Score Oneil. This led me to call them for a second time today. I got the same plumber they sent me the first time. He augered a toilet for me and helped me yank out some flow restrictors here and there at my request. He also installed a kitchen fawcet for me. He worked with the utmost expediency. It took him all in all an hour and then they honored an Angies List coupon for 30 bucks. They were very accomodating about fitting me in even though they were a bit backlogged from the recent snow and weekend calls. Though it was not a true emergency they fit me in. Two times out and I am pleased.

Description of Work: We had a small flood involving two back-to-back toilets and a bathtub, which of COURSE happened on a Saturday when prices are jacked up. The camera used to look in the pipe for an obstruction seems to have itself cleared the obstruction. The technician told me honestly he was not sure if that was what did it, but in any case he could tell me everything was OK now, so we had peace of mind for the weekend. By crawling around in the crawl space, he was able to determine that the drain pipes had been put together incorrectly, and that that might have caused the problem, though since we had never had such a problem before, he wouldn't suggest rushing to fix it. I took this opportunity to order a new toilet since our old Kohler Easy-Clog had been giving us headaches over the years. The emergency 1-hour visit cost $306 ($280 plus tax), and the subsequent weekday installation of a Toto toilet (the best low-flow flusher in my experience) cost $830 (1.5 hours' labor $255, tax $71.98). Now I'm waiting to see if those poorly-installed drain pipes clog up again, at which time they tell me I can expect a $1200 bill to fix it. O'Neill handled both the emergency and the toilet installation efficently, and the technician was a nice guy who explained things clearly and warned me about what to do in the future. I couldn't have asked for a better disgusting plumbing experience and will most likely hire them again. I just wish they didn't charge so much--though I don't know if another company would have charged any less.

Description of Work: Let me preface by saying the end result is a good one: all of our issues have been resolved satisfactorily, and the plumber recommended some ways for us to save money to minimize our cost for parts. However, three things made our experience with O'Neill Plumbing less than worthy of an Angie's List "A" grade. During our first appointment, the receptionist noted the wrong day, and the plumber arrived a day early. As a result, the company could not accommodate the initial appointment time. On both visits, our plumber arrived between 30 and 45 minutes later than the scheduled time...strange, given it was the first appointment of the day. Finally, our plumber was very flustered on both visits, huffing and puffing, and on the second visit, once he was done with work, asked me what time it was; he then mumbled what we would be charged for, then ran out of our house. We received an invoice several days later. All that said, let me reiterate, all of our plumbing issues were resolved.

Description of Work: On March 23 2011 Randy from O'Neill plubling came to my house to give a bid for replacing a kitchen sink.He looked it over, described how it would be done, and said he could probably have the bid by that night or the next day. I asked him to email it to me as well as send a copy in the mail, since I'd been having computer trouble. Days went by and no word from O'Neill. Finally, the following week I called to follow up with Randy. His tone was different than the one he'd had at my house. He said he had the bid in front of him and could email it to me. When I got it, it was dated the 28th, the same day I had called him. My feeling from this type of experience was that O'Neill didn't want the job.I've run into the stalling tactic before with other contractors. I just wish that if that's the case, they would be honest up front and perhaps recommend someone else, instead of having the customer wait based on false expectations. I was surprised by what happened, since I'd had excellent service from O'Neill Plumbing in the past. Perhaps for certain types of work they are more responsive than for others, but Randy's enthusiastic attitude and timeframe quoted at my house weren't followed through on by the company.

Description of Work: they put in a new water line for my home from the water meter into the house using the boring method. that is fantatic, A line is bored, a new copper pipe is installed with new copper connections and a new water shut off at the entrance to the house. that is a requirement. I specified the coper pipe.! They were absolutely perfect and very experienced in this method. the owner came when the underground boring was done. Tthis method does not dig up the yard, and is perfect for narrow areas between properties. I am totally pleased with this nonintrusive and sanitary method !!!!The water was only shut off for minutes. The old water line remained in place and the landscape looks as it did prior to the work!!!!!!! Do not get anyother firm for this--this company is experienced in this work. wonderful, intelligent staff--from the site to and including the office. !!! I told my lawn fertilizing company to recommend it to others who do not want their yard dug up !!!!!!!

Description of Work: I have a small leak under my kitchen sink. I called O'Neill Plumbing Co because I had had a good experience with them last year or the year before when they fixed my toilet leak, which I had reported with much praise, and I expected another good experience. They gave me an appointment for Jan 17 between 10 and 12, never showed. When I called at 12:30, the person who answered said she didn't see me "on the board." Then she finally found that I had been "waitlisted" to the next day. They'd never told me. I cancelled, called someone else.

Description of Work: Nelson cleaned out my clogged sewer line. He came right on time and worked very efficiently. He kept me informed of everything and let me know what choices I had. Although he identified ways I could spend more he wasn't pushy and respected my need to keep the cost down.

Description of Work: Rerouted storm drains after excavating and tapping into old clay lines and installed clean outs for future access.Our house was built in 1925, so dealing with roots of shrubs and trees was difficult but dealt with beautifully

Description of Work: I called because my garbage disposal was plugged, making kitchen sinks unusable. Nelson the Plumber did a great job of fixing the problem. He also resolved a chronic water pressure problem, which was an unexpected bonus. And he gave me valuable information about a problem stemming from incorrect installation of my dish washer, which was important and I was pleased to learn about. This was a messy job but he left my kitchen clean, which I appreciated. He was very nice, very professional, very competent.
