+ -1 moreThey should up during the 2 hour window I was given as well as receiving a 15 minute courtesy call that someone was on their way. Turns out a part on the faucet was loose which once tightened, no more leaking faucet. The guy was super nice and said the visit could just count as the free estimate and didn't charge me for the service. My sink no longer leaks and I found a new plumber for any future work.
Description of Work: I had a leaky kitchen faucet sink. I made an appointment with O'Neil Plumbing to replace my current faucet.

+ -1 moreBooking an appt was smooth and the technician was on time. He was knowledgeable and reasonably efficient- 1.5 hours to replace a sump pump, including some new pvc connections. Cons are that he had to run back to the shop for a simple check valve ( I wasn't charged for this time, but it was still annoying) and the price charged for the new pump itself was more than double what a simple internet search shows it costs (Zoeller M53 charged me $310 plus tax).

+ 0 moreSteve came out within an hour of my call, immediately diagnosed the problem and got to work. He had to cut out a chunk of the drywall to get to the pipe and replaced the valve and pipe. He was able to do all of this in 30 minutes and his work was neat and clean ($139.41)! I asked him to turn the water heater back on for me and he discovered that the expansion tank of my water heater was leaking. Steve kindly offered to replace this for the cost of the parts only ($98.53). I will definitely call upon O'Neill Plumbing in the future. This is the first plumbing work I've had to pay for, so I'm not sure if the price was reasonable.
Description of Work: A metal picture fell off the wall and snapped the water shut off valve to my toilet right off the wall, cracking the pipe within the wall as well. I needed the valve and pipe replaced.

+ 1 moreEverything went well, as my previous paragraph indicates. I use this company every time I need plumbing services.
Description of Work: We first used O'Neill Plumbing to repair a horrible mess with a broken drain pipe located under the concrete floor of our basement . They had to cut the floor and relocate the pipe, replacing the concrete when they were done. Their bid for the job was at least $4000 less than the other bid I got from a different company which wouldn't even guarantee their option would fix the problem. O'Neill came in with a clear outline of options and a clear bid. They were efficient, professional, and cleaned up after themselves. I subsequently had them install a new kitchen sink for me, and now I use them if I have a plumbing issue with a rental home I own.

Replaced plastic pipe that broke with metal drain, less likely to break, good job testing everything. Service man was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. I had assumed hourly cost would be around $150 an hour for non-emergency scheduled work, instead it was $250.

We'd always like it to cost less, but the work was worth the price, and there were no surprises (rate and time required was discussed up front). I would definitely call them again.
Description of Work: Tub drain completely clogged. I asked the tech to replace the trap and short drain pipe to the sewer, since it was old gavanized steel and past its useful life.

+ -1 moreO'Neil replaced the internal valve stem components. The plumber was prompt and professional and clearly knew his trade and the right options to try first to solve the problem. He was able to repair both hose faucets using approximately $80 of parts plus approximately $160 in labor and service call charges. He arrived about 3 days after I sent O'Neill a message.
Description of Work: I had two dripping outdoor hose faucets. I wasn't sure if they could be repaired or if the entire hose faucet would need to be replaced (a big project requiring tearing into drywall).

+ -1 morePlumber came out for estimate next day after calling in. Very nice, professional, listened and offered advice for about twenty minutes. Estimated 2-3 hours of work for one man but at a very high hourly rate! Parts indicated on estimate were $250, which seemed fine but again hourly seemed exorbitant and job couldn't be done for another full week . Estimate was not free but would have been rolled into price of job if we chose them, this charge was not explained during initial call.
Description of Work: Replace the last of the galvanized piping behind kitchen sink, servicing, sink , dishwasher and refrigerator water/ice dispenser. The wall was already opened up mid remodel and access in attic as well.
