Be very, very careful with this company. They are extremely fraudulent. There is a language barrier, and they use it to their advantage. If you look up their reviews on other sites, you will see a significant number of bad reviews. The told us it would be $389.00 to REPAIR our downdraft. He did less than one hour of work and then charged us $428.00 after telling us it could not be fixed. A brand new unit would have been only $1,000. They are insanely rude, both Yuri and Natalia. They are running a scheme, and they need to be held accountable. They provided the attached fraudulent invoice to "fix" the unit, then said it couldn't be fixed. If my wife wasn't home alone with this man, she would not have written the check.

This company is a scam. The description on Angie's list indicates $90 an hour with no travel charge. When they got here, they charged $110 travel charged. In total, the work was $355.00 for 20 minutes worth of work. The part was about $100.00.

Just call NW Home Appliance first! Yuri will save both your time and appliance repair money in the long run. My spouse depends on the oven's lights to see how things are coming along without opening the oven door while she is cooking food in our slide-in induction cook-top range's oven. I consider myself a pretty good handyman around the house and when one of the two oven lights went out, I read the user manual's instructions for changing the bulb. It didn't appear to be a difficult task. To start the process, I called the parts department of the retailer from whom we had purchased the range and requested a replacement bulb. I was informed that they didn't have separate specifications for the bulb which they only carried as part of an oven light assembly. I ordered two of the assemblies because I knew they would have the manufacturer specified bulb in them (there was no bulb specification in the owner's manual) and I figured that it made sense to go ahead an replace both while I was changing one bulb because both bulbs had been in service for the exact same amount of time. It turned out that I wasn't as clever as I had thought because I wasn't able to successfully make sense of the manual's instruction in order to access the bulbs inside the ovenproof assemblies. I realized that I needed professional assistance and went to the Electrolux website (the actual manufacturer of the retailer's re-branded appliance) to search for a manufacturer certified repair service. I avoided the retailer because of the nightmare experience which we had with the unprofessional techs sent out by the retailer to fix the dishwasher we had also purchased from them. Electrolux listed three certified service providers in our area. I then used my Angie's List subscription to research the three Electrolux recommended service providers and identified NW Home Appliance as the best of the three. I called NW Home Appliance to schedule an appointment. Natalia dealt professionally and efficiently with my service request. She provide clear information about service appointment costs and instructions regarding the service appointment itself. At the scheduled time, Yuri called about 30 minutes before he expected to arrive just as Natalie said he would do. He arrived at our door about 30 minutes after he had called. Yuri efficiently and professionally completed the replacement of the two oven light bulbs. He also checked to see if we were having any issues with our other kitchen appliances and gave us a couple of tips for maintaining the efficiency of our dishwasher. In addition, he explained how to obtain replacement bulbs in the future for only $2.00 each. I told him that I considered the cost of his visit to be my tuition to attend his excellent oven door removal/re-installation and oven light bulb replacement class at appliance repair university. I very much appreciated Yuri's direct, minimal cost approach to solving the customer's problem and the useful information which he provide us in a somewhat "you-will-do-this" style. His mannerisms fondly reminded me of the style of my grandparents who had grown up in Russia. Both Yuri and my grandparents definitely knew what they were talking about. The only thing which disappointed me about my experience was that in addition to the Company's base appliance repair visit charge for just coming out to analyze the problem, Yuri also charged us the minimum hourly labor charge for less than 10 minutes of actual work even after he saw how embarrassed I was about not being able to do what turned out to be such a simple task. I didn't mention my disappointment to him because the fact that actual repair labor costs were not included in the base service call charge had been accurately explained to me when I made the appointment.

Yuri is a pro who showed up on time, with the right tools. He knew exactly what to do. He also had had no qualms showing me every detail of the fix, including his classy trick that uses a portable steamer to speed up the thawing process. That short cut allowed him to remove and completely clear away the frozen dust bunny that had been blocking my defrost drain tube. He spent over an hour and charged $231. If that seems to expensive, GET OVER IT. Think of this as a tax for buying an LG. LG is so restrictive about distribution of their service bulletins and parts, none of the other independent repair guys in Seattle will touch anything made by LG.
Description of Work: My two-year old LG french-door refrigerator [model lg lfx28968st /01] stopped defrosting properly. I was getting ice on the bottom of the unit and water began to leak onto the floor. This is because a dust bunny had blocked the tube that allows water to fill the drain pan. TIP TO OTHERS: Keep the rear of your LG refrigerator clear and vacuum the bottom corners at least once a year. If this ice accumulation problem happens to your 2013 LG refrigerator, empty it and let it sit, open and unplugged, for two days.

We were referred to NW Home Appliance via Danby as they are the certified repair company for their warranty work. They were able to schedule the work in a reasonable time frame but the person who came to do the work (the owner of the company I later learned) was extremely unprofessional and didn't seem to want to look at our beverage fridge. He said it was unrepairable (and didn't even plug it in to make this diagnosis). When pressed he said that it may just be the filter but that he doesn't carry parts for our fridge in his truck (I gave my model & serial number when making the appt so that's odd too). And he left without doing anything - I'm aggrivated to have taken time off to be home to meet him and then to not have him help at all and he was rude to boot. When I called to let the company know about our experience the receptionist let me know that it was the owner who was out and that my story couldn't be true. Needless to say I won't be using them again for anything.I did call Danby to see what could be done and they are helping to find someone else to come out and repair the fridge. They've been pretty helpfull and I hope they can find at another repair service who can represent their product better.
Description of Work: NW Appliance was scheduled to come out and repair a small beverage fridge at our home - we had a window of 1-5 pm. They did call 15 minutes prior as they said and arrived within the window but did not repair the fridge or even take a good look at the fridge - he just declared that it was dead without investigation.

Scheduling the appointment was a breeze; they got me on the calendar in two days flat. Repairman Yuri was communicative about arrival time and punctual once the time was settled upon. He made quick work of the repair and everything seems to be in order once again. I don't know how much the part cost because it was not itemized on the receipt, but $325 for one part and half-an-hour of labor feels steep. For that I'm giving them a 'C' rating of Fair. The rest of the experience was an 'A'.

Description of Work: Washer, part of a stacking W/D, quit. I called Northwest Home Appliance because we were referred to them by Frigidaire when we needed warranty work done a few years ago. A gentleman named Yuri came out and diagnosed it as either a timer problem or a motor problem. He charge $116 for service call that was not refundable and would not be applied to any future service charges. He quoted my wife $330 for the timer replacement or $650 to replace timer & motor, plus tax. He came back and replaced the timer and charged $397 plus tax for a total of $428. It took hime about 30 minutes to do the work. I felt that $544 to replace a timer was way too high but paid him. The next day the washer quit again. I called and told Yuri I was very unhappy with the amount he charged and wanted him to come back and fix the problem for free. He came back and turned out the problem was with a new set of hoses I had installed which had a safety valve in them and did not work with our washer. He helped pull out the W/D and installed new hoses with no charge. He offered to refund $50 because he charged more than he had quoted my wife originally. This made me feel much better but still thought his prices where high. He seems very knowledgable about the applicances. So I have mixed feelings about using his services again.

Description of Work: This repairman called me and told me he would be late. He was over 2-3 hours late for service. The dryer had to have a bearing roller replaced. I asked him to clean the lint after he replaced the rollers. I paid $203,23 for this service which was not very good. There was a 3 month warranty on the work. On the beginning of October I had a guy, from Dryer Vent Solutions come and repair the hose which Aquinos could not do as he did not have the hose. I thought this was bad that the guy from Aquinos could not fix and charged me $203.23. The repair person was over 3 hours late. Make sure the man is not going out of business. Verify phone number on invoice statement given to you. Ask for another phone number to have along with phone number given on invoice. The 3 month warranty was no good as Aquinos business phone did not work after call in October. This was within the 3 month warranty.

We’ve used them a couple of times and they’re really good. We have upper end appliances and they were very knowledgeable on those. So they knew how to get them fixed. I don’t remember how much we spent. I like them. We will use their services again in the future.

The technician kept me updated to when the parts will arrive. LG was sending the parts and they have terrible customer service so it took awhile for the parts to arrive. Once they arrived, the technician immediately came to my house and installed them. One kink in the work was a drawer fell off about a week after it was installed. The technician is came out and installed the part, but it didn't fix the problem. I have not contacted them to report this yet.
Description of Work: My LG refrigerator freezing was icing up. The technician came to my house and assessed the problem, ordered parts, and returned and installed the parts. He installed the part, but it never corrected the problem. When he installed it, he was not sure it would fix the problem but I was still charged $500.00 for parts and services

. They came to look at my dryer but it ended up that the vent was warped with external lint. They were here only for 15 minutes. He did not look at the dryer. He immediately noticed that the vent was warped. He nailed the problem quickly. They are too expensive. The only reason why I called them is because they are the only ones who were certified for the LG appliances we have or I would have called somebody else. On the website as well as on the phone their secretary gave a quote on the price that seemed to have change a bit when he actually came on site. I would use them in the future only because they are the only ones certified for LG appliances.

They are the service repair company for Samsung. When our dishwasher broke last year, they grudgingly came out to inspect it after a week or so. The tech (who was the 4th one we had out) declared it did and said they would order a new motherboard. I called every week, they never called me as they promised to, and was always told that the part was being shipped from Korea and they had no idea where it was or when it would be coming. The 4th week, I called Samsung instead. they never ordered the part, instead authorized a replacement dishwasher to be delivered from Lowe's. Dishwasher broke again, again samsung referred me to northwest appliance. it will be 2 weeks before they can come out and will only come on Thursday morning, no exceptions. Receptionist is rude and unprofessional.

They did a great job. The refridgerator cost about $1800.00 it was more cost effective to fix then replace it. He gave me recommendations to replace one dishwasher with another brand, because it would be more cost effective to just replace it. They are on time, fixed it quickly and conscious of the price of how much things cost. They were professional and thoughtful and concerned after my husband passed away. I am very impressed with them.
