Dennis is the best painter I have ever hired.

I initially began to do my painting project myself because I was really worried the cost would get out of hand hiring a professional. Some of the parts were more difficult than I had expected and I resigned myself to paying someone. I logged on to Angie's List to find a recommendation and spotted Deniss' "painter for a day" offer. Since I already had the paint, this was a perfect fit. I called him before purchasing the offer to see when he could come out, and he was able to squeeze me into a gap in his schedule just a few days later. He made sure he was able to do the job using the deal before I bought it, which built a lot of trust for him on my part. He showed up on time as planned, and got straight to work. He was very friendly - we chatted a bit while he worked, but not so much so that he wasn't focused or that I didn't get my own things done. He was able to finish my project in a day just as he said, and the quality is much better than I would have done myself. He was very fastidious about cleaning up and made sure not to leave any mess at all. I will definitely hire him next time I need anything painted and I'd recommend him to anyone else I know.

Dennis is always a fast worker and very thorough. He knows his craft well.

This appointment went very well. I previously left a review about a Big Deal I purchased that didn't work out because he was very backlogged and scheduling was going to take too long. He later contacted me to apologize and complete the work I needed done. He had offered to complete the work at no charge due to the trouble with the Big Deal but I could not allow him to do so. I paid him $100 for the painting and am so pleased with his work. It is a superior paint job and he was very conscious about being neat and is a perfectionist.

Everything looks really nice after the paint job. There were a lot of wall and ceiling dings he had to fill in, so it was no small job. Dennis is just one guy doing all of the work, which is nice not to have a whole troupe traipsing through your house. He was real friendly with our dog (and us) and he cleaned up everyday. The quote that he gave us was what we paid at the end.

Dennis is the best! We have used him for several painting projects over the years and we is super responsive and does a thorough job. He even follows up afterwards to make sure we are happy with the work. He is truly a professional and does very high quality work. And my toddler loves watching him paint! We would not hesitate to use him again next time.

Quality was OK. My main complaint is I have sconces which I unattached, but left hanging, no sure if I need to take them off completely or not and not wanting to leave bare wires which could be dangerous for him or my small children. He didn't remove them or ask me to and painted under them so they left marks in the middle of my freshly painted wall. He offered to come back and paint for an additional 4 hours because he had to move my service date back a month. He hasn't despite me calling and sending an e-mail to see when he would be able to and hence I have a room with a partially painted quarter round.

He was really booked out so I didn’t use him. He sounded like a great guy though. He got back to me in a timely manner, although it was a bit hard to get a hold of him. Once we talked he was very pleasant.

Dennis is meticulous, cleans, always neat, takes care of every detail. He does a superlative job. He cares deeply about pleasing the client, goes the extra miles, is kind and always good humored. His work is superb. You would be lucky to get him to do your job. He worked well with other contractors present. I will be hiring him again and again. He is a treasure.

Task completed over 18 months ago, do not recall all of the details. The work was completed satisfactorily, however, we did have some clean up to do which the painter should have done.

guy!Dennis made painting my house so easy. I had put it off for quite a while. But when he came to look at the area and give me the estimate, he made it seemed like it would be effortless. And it was. The hardest part was picking out the paint colors on my part! He picked up the correct amount of paint, perfectly estimated! He was highly careful with my belongings and took care not to damage anything. My house looks gorgeous and soon I will have him back to do my dining room and upstairs!

My apartment has lots of millwork, including a boxed ceiling in the bedroom, and I have four interior doors that each have ten panes of glass. Painting the kitchen required moving a refrigerator, a washer, and a dryer without damaging new hardwood floors. Dennis prepared all surfaces and applied two coats of finish paint to them. Before painting, he repaired blemishes including major four major ones (e.g., he covered and painting over a vent hole that is no longer in use and and he restored a smooth surface to a section of drywall that was damaged). Dennis maintained excellent communication and was unfailingly good-natured. He arrived when he said he would, he departed when he said he would, and he left my apartment in good order at the end of each work day. It took Dennis the better part of three weeks to do this job. He was congenial company throughout, and after he completed pairing all surfaces he reserved sufficient time to double check all his work to make certain every met his high standard. I made the right choice when I picked Dennis, and I recommend him highly to others.

Dennis Pauley of North Beach Painting is top quality and value. I don?t believe you can hire a better all-around painter. Dennis has been in the Seattle painting business for a long time and brings with him extensive knowledge and experience. He does all of the work himself by hand with a brush or roller. And you really see the difference in his work. We contracted him to paint the entire exterior of our home and garage this last summer after having him paint the entire interior of our house two years before. Simply said we would hire no one else. First of all, since Dennis is the only one you will be working with, you can be at ease about communication and trust. You do not need to be worried about a rotating crew who will be in and out of your home. We were out of town several times while Dennis was painting and we had no problem leaving our keys and alarm system information with him. Dennis is very trustworthy and he always made sure to leave things locked up as he found them. Dennis works around your schedule and life. He leaves the work area very clean and safe at the end of each day. We have two toddlers and he always went out of his way to make sure we were accommodated and safe. He was quick to warn about areas with drop cloths and ladders and removed them as soon as he was finished. He was also very kind to check in with nap schedule if he was planning any loud work. Not only is Dennis professional, knowledgeable and produce a very high-quality product, he is flexible and will work with you if there are changes to the job after he has started. We had a small accident involving our garage that required us to replace the door and much of the siding in the middle of Dennis painting the exterior of our house. Even during his busiest time of year, he was more than accommodating with his paint system and schedule. He also made some last minute additions to our job with no problem such as painting out the downspouts to match wall color. Dennis always goes above and beyond. To give one example, he came upon a bee hive under our eaves that was missed by the exterminators. He grabbed some spray, climbed up a 30 foot ladder and took care of it himself. And on top of his dependable and trustworthy demeanor, Dennis is an excellent painter. His extensive knowledge of product and skill really shows in the work and longevity of the job. He only uses the highest quality products and takes the greatest care and detail in his prep. He washed, treated, scraped and primed every surface of our 1910 built home before applying at least two coats of finish paint. He also primed and added extra sealant to some LP siding we have to stabilize the deterioration of edges and protect from future damage. I feel that this could have been easily overlooked and that is a prime example of the quality work and knowledge you get when you hire Dennis.

From inquiry to completion, Dennis Pauley exceeded my expectations. ?He responded to my emails right away and I never had to leave a voicemail. ?He was extremely flexible and accomodating, working around my schedule to ensure timely completion. Great attention to detail and my condo looks brand new (it's 8 years old). I requested semi-gloss walls and a flat ceiling, and I am completely satisifed with his work and and highly recommend his service.

Dennis was just fabulous!!! He was on time, friendly, and did excellent work. My toddler has been talking about him ever since he came the first time to begin the work. He was very willing to work our relatively small job into his schedule, and was happy to come back and make sure we were satisfied with the work. We highly recommend him, and if we need more painting done in the future, he'll be the first person we call.

Generally I think it went well. To be fair, I didn't notice things until after he had left. When he left he asked how it looked and I said good because it did. I noticed their was a panel in the kitchen that wasn't painted. Where the counter goes up to meet the wall and where the paint goes up to meet the counter, the paint doesn't look very clean. It looks like paint is on the stone part. The bathroom was green. He painted it blue and gave me a great recommendation on where to get the paint. I was really pleased with that. You can still see some of the green behind the paint though and I am not sure how to fix that. Their are splotches of blue paint on the baseboards. He was very nice and scheduled the painting times when it was agreeable for both of us. He went out of his way to give me advice for colors and how to test the colors. Dennis was really good about giving me honest feedback on color options and gave great suggestions. It looks a lot better than it did. I had a bookcase that I was afraid to take off the wall. He suggested I should to save time and he even put it back up for me which was very nice. He was very tidy other than some of the lines of where the paint meets other lines. He painted my fuse back shut and that was not very helpful to me. I accidentally blew a fuse and I couldn't find the door. That was very frustrating to me. In all fairness, I noticed it after I left and felt like I could figure it out so I didn't call him back.

Dennis did an excellent job painting this hard to get to space. It included a sky Light and stairwell which was hard to get to The cost was very fair and the job was very ptofessional. We have used him to paint several rooms in our house and will do so again and again. He is excellent with details, very clean and professional.

Repainted some exterior bricks. I provided them some flexibility on dates simply to be accommodating to the weather. They gave me a heads up as soon as the weather was decent and the work was done promptly and well. Very pleased.

Dennis is a very good painter. He does exactly what he says he will do and explains it well. I would of had him paint the whole interior of the house but we had a limited time frame to work with since we were listing our home and he did not have more time. When we could not locate the name of the paint color we had used before he removed a broom closet door so we could take it to the paint store to match it. He is easy to work with and a nice guy.

Went great. I bought one of his deals. His communication to set up appt. was excellent. He went out of his way to please. Skillful painter--free-handed, fast, super-efficient, focused on the work at hand. Personable.

Dennis originally came out on the "Big Deal" for 8 hours painting for price of 4 hours. He did an excellent job, very responsive with attention to detail, efficient, even came back on a weekend to finish, and I hired him additionally to paint other rooms as well. Highly recommend!

Dennis was very professional. He arrived right on schedule with all equipment necessary and got right to work. He has a lot of experience and I appreciated his thoughts and suggestions. He worked right up to the alloted time. Dennis cleaned up afterwards and I would say his a perfectionist which I very much appreciate. I will definitely hire him again!

It went well, there were no problems.

The experience was a good one. We each had reasons to change the date a couple times -- very busy schedules! -- but we stayed in touch and eventually connected. On the day after he painted we found a few very small areas where we needed to "touch up", but believe it could have been a lighting issue.
