Mr Nguyen Lawn

Mr Nguyen arrived earlier than coordinated, and after a short briefing, he and his helper dove into the tasks at hand. The trimmed 3 spruces to 10' height, cut down an ailing apple tree, and trimmed a vine maple which had been blocking some light at night. They cut down 7 large juniper bushes and then removed all the debris which was produced. Lastly, they removed lots of old wood which had been sitting around allowing rats to live and reproduce. The yard looks beautiful with most of the non attractive vegetation gone. I would definitely hire Mr Nguyen anytime for landscape cleaning and tree trimming.

He hauled off lots of discarded lumber as well as getting the whole yard free of debris. The yard had never looked nicer. He also trimmed a vine maple which was partially blocking the street light which resulted in better lighting all around. I was very happy with his work and would hire hime anytime.

He is very reliable.

Last time I had someone thatch, plug and reseed (by Golden Rule), they showed up a month late, thatched right after rain, turning my lawn into a mudhole, and seeded the yard with buttercups, then would not return phone calls for a month. My front yard was almost half moss. I met with Vince Nguyen, who was doing yard work across the street. He agreed to do the thatching, raking, aerating, fill-in dirt where needed after moss removal, reseeding, and disposal of the moss for $500, add dirt where needed to replace deep moss/thatch for $100, and weed and rake the front flower beds (specifically including the buttercup roots that the last cleanup by another company had ignored) for $220; total job $820 + tax. He said we really should fertilize, too, to get the grass to grow faster than the moss. Articles on the web agree, suggesting the fertilizer will correct a pH imbalance that favors moss. But I looked and he only uses conventional fertilizer with bad things in it. If I provide organic fertilizer, he would apply it with the new dirt, but I didn't get to it. We scheduled the work for over a week away, but Vince called one morning to tell me the weather forecast was for the scheduled date to be very wet, so he rearranged his schedule to get my job done before the rain started, for which I am quite grateful. The job took two men all day, about 8am-4:30pm. They thatched, raked, then re-thatched and re-raked the same areas where needed, doing a much more thorough job than I'd had done previously. And Vince added peat-moss which he had not mentioned, and I had not thought to request. I am quite pleased with the results. The new grass got its first mowing and looks very healthy. Wish I'd done before/after photos, I'd like to give Vince the credit he deserves.

I was looking for a company with which I could have an ongoing relationship as I have many more projects to do. I thought their price was good and the patio itself seems fine (it has not overwintered yet so the jury is still out) they rushed through the other tasks and did many things incorrectly to get them done fast. If you want something done superficially and fast they are for you, if you want it done right hire someone else!

I HAVE HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH THEM. THEY ARE A GOOD OUTFIT. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM. THEY PUT A FENCE IN FOR ME, AND IT WAS THE FIRST TIME I HAD A FENCE DESIGNED AND PUT IN PROPERLY.
