Modernized Exteriors

We have a older home and it was definitely ready for new siding. All we have heard about is how great the James Hardie composite products are so we were sure that we would be going with that product. What we were concerned most about is keeping that older look to our home and to keep the older feel of the home in place. Modernized Exteriors came out showed me a bunch of pictures on the iPad and really painted the picture for us. We took the advice of the estimators and went with a smooth finish and a smaller reveal. the project took about 3 weeks and looks great. we were especially pleased with how well the communication was from start to finish!

We had a 1970s rambler with the existing siding. we knew it was time for a change and through our research and talking to this company we decided on a Fiber Cement Product from James Hardie. We dressed it up with the suggestions we received from the estimators. The peaks were a accent color with shingles with a 8 inch reveal lap siding around the base. we are happy we took the suggestions of the estimators I think it turned out great. the worst thing about this whole project is that the house looks so amazing and we have old windows. That is definitely next on our list we wish we would have done it at the same time.

was well overdue to get our siding done. After reading the reviews we chose this company to come out and do our whole house with new siding and james hardie vented soffits. The house looks better than I even imagined it would look especially the soffits. It added a great touch and we love the fact that the outside of our home is now more low maintenance than ever.

Lovely. The guy that did the actual work was superb, as well as pleasant. So was his helper. And the owners. The installer helped with a design of the extension that gave me much more--and was much more practical-- than I had originally envisioned. Work was done quickly, and in time for my birthday barbecue. The new deck flow works really well. I don't really have a price comparison, though the whole thing was pricey. But Trex is pricey, and using it was by far the bulk of the cost. But now I have a deck whose warranty will outlast me without the hassle of finding someone to tend it each year.

First let me say that I believe these coupons have drummed up a lot of business for this provider. He was a bit difficult to get a hold. I tried to reach out to him before purchasing this coupon to find out what it covered. In truth I really should have just read the reviews. The other people who have posted here are right on. The minimum deck cost they will even consider is 8,000. I understand that these materials are expensive, but this isn't posted in the details of the coupon. I appreciate that Cameron was honest with me... To anyone looking to buy this deal or use this provider. Please read the reviews. Know that you are being sold a new deck, and that it will be very expensive. I am now asking Angie's List for a refund on this deal. Let others learn from my mistake here.

Very thinly veiled attempt to up-sell me a very expensive deck. They did show up as promised, seemed quite capable, brought material samples, etc. However, they only do new decks, not repairs so the $500.00 credit could only be used to pay toward a new deck. They did do a design - which they used to price a new deck and did not leave with me. The deck they proposed was nearly $17,000.00. It was one level, not up off the ground more than the 3 feet that would require permits, only 12 feet of railing. I've since had estimates between 5-7K. They didn't claim they'd be the least expensive but I couldn't help but feel they were significantly overpriced. I would not be purchasing their services nor recommending them to anyone else.

Communication was rough. Getting information wasn't easy. Finally, found that the products and options are very limited range, and expensive (Andersen Doors, Comfort Design Patio Doors).

They were incredibly honest and in the end recommended against using them and installing a deck on the site (instead recommended installing a stamped concrete patio due to many factors). They were very professional, honest and friendly. I may end up installing a smaller deck in the future in which case I would definitely contact them again.

Did not perform any work - no contact

We paid to have this company come out and give us their best ideas on how we should design us the layout of our deck. It was a great experience. We instantly could tell that these guys although they were on the younger side definitely knew what they were talking about. They brought out all sorts of samples and brochures for us to look at and showed us their iPad with all sorts of pictures and videos of decks that they have built. We weren't ready for how expensive it was going to be to say the least. The price was much higher than we anticipated so we didn't move forward with them yet but we did think the price was fair for the amount of work that needed to be done and all of the permitting. We really enjoyed our experience and it was worth every penny of the $49 to get them out here to show us how a professional would build us a new deck. We will be using their company for our deck soon.

what caught our eye originally was the $49 Deck design. We knew that the $49 wasn't really going to get us a bunch of CAD drawing or anything like that but we heard these guys were the best and so we went ahead and purchased the deal to see what they were all about. I had put a lot of thought into what we wanted but I wanted a opinion from someone who really knew what they were doing. When they came out they had some excellent ideas of moving the stairs adding a border adding some edges and customization to the deck. They showed us lots of pictures of the work that they have done and even broke out a couple different pricing options so we could choose the best project that fit our budget shall we decide to move forward with a project. Finally they showed us some of the spring and Angies list specials that they offered this time of the year. We finally picked the right monthly payment and product and then we almost forgot about the additional $500 discount we got from purchasing the design and they honored it right away. We have been blown away and are excited. Cant wait for the work to start!

This company came out and gave us a great consultation and designed up something that we hadn't even thought about. We are extremely comfortable that this company will built us the deck we dreamed up. The consultation started with looking at pictures and samples and coming up with a couple different styles that I think is really going to give this deck a custom look. The final deck price came out to about $32,000 after we take advantage of a couple of the incentives as well as the discount from the design coupon.

I was torn between just replacing the worn out boards on my deck (my railings were still in pretty good shape) and redoing my deck with composite decking to eliminate the annual maintenance that I never seemed to have the time to do. Cameron came out and talked to me about what I wanted and why. He walked me through my options, showed me pictures and videos of the work the company has done and showed me samples of the TREX materials and explained the benefits of going with a composite material. I decided to go with the TREX deck and leave the old railings - to save $. Fast forward to the next morning, I had decided to include the composite railings as well. He came back out and showed me different combinations of tops, bottoms, railings and pillars. I finally chose white pillars with lights, round black railings with a brown top and bottom to match the deck. They started on the deck a couple of weeks later, tearing off the old deck and then meticulously installing my new TREX deck. There were two gentlemen on the job, who took A LOT of pride in the quality of their work. I couldn't have been more pleased with their work or their work ethic. It took a couple of weeks in all to do the job, but it is BEAUTIFUL!.

We haven't put any money into our home in quite some time and now we are looking ahead to selling in 5 years. this summer we are going to knock out the expensive part and knock out the exterior of our home (windows and siding) we knew that it was a good idea to do both of these projects out at the same time because they kind of go hand in had. We found Modernized Exteriors and was happy to see that they did both windows and siding so we didn't have to get another contractor. I feel like these guys really went above and beyond for me and my family and we will definitely be using them for our future projects. we can feel a huge difference in having our new windows.

Wow this company completely transformed our outdoor living area with a deck. We can't even explain how happy we are with the work that was performed. We previously had a deteriorating cedar deck that was too small and we never used it because it didn't feel safe. Not only did we end up choosing a composite material (TREX) but we also expanded our deck to about double the size. The final price for the decking project and permits was $26,350. We chose to go with the one year Same as Cash Financing option and take our time to pay it off over the next year with no interest. the deck is beautiful.

This company replaced all the siding on our entire home with a James Hardie product. We opted to not go for the colored siding and just ordered the primed and we are going to get it painted ASAP. The guys did a great job and the workmanship was definitely there. They were really great about working around my dog being in and out of the backyard.

This company built us a excellent custom cedar deck. approx 370 sq ft. Our deck before was literally about to fall over and we cannot even believe the transformation. We knew that it would make a difference looks wise but we are really pleasantly surprised with the final product. We can't wait for the sun to stay out we are already planning a big BBQ. We originally were going to pay cash for the project but this company offered us a great interest rate we couldn't refuse. aside from that the company really wowed us with the customer service.

The guys did a great job with our new deck. They were on time (both the estimators and the installers) every time we met. The guys that came out to do the estimating were extremely professional. The deck turned out amazing. We chose a trex decking system so the price was a little out of our price range but we took advantage of the financing they had and we are really pleased with the payments at a very low interest rate/

We had a cedar deck built by this outfit. The quality was amazing. This is our third deck that we have purchased and it was by far the best built. We got three bids and they definitely were not our lowest bid but we have really enjoyed working with them over any other contractors anyway. They really came up with some great ideas that I would have never came up with. We will use this company again in the future

They used hardi boards and the quality came out very nice. They were limited on prepainted colors but we found two we liked. The dumpster was included in the bid. The clean up was reasonable all though there a nail on my front porch. The financing they offered was 3.99% and for 7 years or 12 months same as cash.

Modernized Siding did nothing. We called Cameron three times to come look at our buildings and provide a proposal. Each time he said someone would be out within a given period of time. To our knowledge no one ever showed up. The last time we spoke with Cameron, he was going to look into the project and call back later in the day. A week went by and we never heard from him even after leaving messages. No sure how they received a "A" rating when they never show up.

It wasn't worth the 50$. He was professional and did a good consultation. I would use him again.

Completed a complete redeck on my current deck with cedar. Also replaced the handrails with cedar rails. Molokai like a brand new deck and we were lucky enough to reuse our supports. Job cost was just a hair over $12,000. Could not say enough good things about the work crew! Definitely a great company to do business with.
