Michael's Landscaping-A Better Pruning

Our yard was overdue for a Spring cleanup, and we were preparing to list it for sale. We called Michael's Landscaping based on the reviews, and we're glad we did. Michael was a pleasure to work with. He is knowledgeable, meticulous, and friendly. He was quick to respond to my request for an estimate, and his final bill adhered closely to the estimated amount. We were very pleased with the results, and we'll be putting him to work in the future.

Michael got in touch with me shortly after I emailed to arrange a quote. He came out on Sunday evening to discuss the project. Based on his other reviews and the reasonable amount of his estimate, I did not feel the need to obtain additional quotes. Michael talked to me about the fact that my hedge would be somewhat bare for a while, and I appreciated knowing that before he began. I am pleased with how the hedge looks, and the area was left nicely cleaned up after all work was done. I will contact him for other work as needed.

He came to estimate the job and had time to do get it done that same day. He did a very nice job and the plum tree looks much better than it did before.

I have a small yard that I try to keep looking nice but I also have fairly severe arthritis in my hands and knees. I desperately needed help this year to get my front yard weeded and my bushes trimmed. I found Michael on Angie's List, called him, and he was able to come out the next day to take a look and give me a written estimate. I immediately felt like I could trust him to take care of my needs at a fair price - and I was right. Michael is a kind, trustworthy, honest man and he does great work. I have two large cherry trees and a red maple that need to be pruned. I will be calling Michael this fall to prune my trees and will call him in the future with any yard work that I need.

The yard was fully landscaped some years ago with a mix of trees, shrubs, and flowers, along with two small water features and no lawn. Unfortunately, over the past three years it's been almost completely neglected, the weeds have taken over, and some of the shrubs that I planted several years ago have grown out of control. I needed someone who knew what they were doing to whip things back into shape. Michael removed some of the plants that just weren't working, pruned back the rest to much more manageable proportions, weeded, laid down some weed retardant, along with two truckloads of bark mulch, and generally raked and cleaned up everything such that the yard is now a showplace again. Michael consulted with me at every stage but mostly I told him to use his own judgment, leaving him free to do what was best for the plants and the yard. He had a couple of helpers he used as needed but most of the work he did himself. Overall, I'm very pleased with the hard work and the results.

He got in contact with the other contractor right away and also gave me some advice about some other items around the property. I very much appreciated that he was more interested in me getting the best service for the best price rather than getting my business. I would recommend him to anyone for lawn and other yard services as he is very honest and personable and extremely responsive! Thank you Michael!

We depend on Michael every year to prune our apple trees and keep our laurel hedge under control. Some years he moves plants or does major pruning of rhodos. This year we added the items mentioned above. No doubt we will continue to call on Michael to do these kinds of work for us. He is exceptionally punctual, hard-working, and reliable. This year his two sons came to help out for several hours; he is a family man and a proud and caring father. Michael charges a very fair price for his work; he is prompt and thorough, always courteous and trust-worthy. All in all, first rate.

I made an appointment for a quote. He said he would come by on Saturday but couldn't give me a firm time on when he could stop by. He said he would call me and let me know before he stopped over. He never called much less stopped over. It was his loss on my $3000 job.

it went very well. he arrived on time, completed the work, especially the pruning of some difficult trees, in a very efficient timeframe. walked me through what pruning he recommended and then with a couple of options, talked me through the pros and cons of each. yard was cleaned up thoroughly and the bushes and trees look great. price was very reasonable for work done, including the hauling away of debris. he even did work on my neighbor's house once he was done with mine.

Michael is a real professional with an eye for what needs to be done to keep landscaping looking fresh and healthy. I use his services every spring and fall, there are many of bushes and trees on my property that need the regular attention. This fall he pruned and shaped all the bushes and trees, he also cleaned out debris from the flower beds. He always does more than asked for and the cleanup afterward is excellent. One of the main things I like about Michael is that he helps me make decisions about landscape related issues. This summer I asked him to come out and look at two trees that I was thinking about taking down. They were holly trees and they were TAKING OVER. We talked about alternatives possibilities but in the end decided to remove the trees. He brought out a colleague of his with a mulching truck and they got the whole thing done in a day. It looks much better!

Michael did a fabulous job getting our overgrown trees and shrubs down to an appropriate size and making them look healthy and attractive. He also removed a hideous bunch of vines and ivy. The price was beyond reasonable and the work was performed quickly and properly. I will definitely be a regular customer, and I know my yard will look better as a result.

Michael was great from start to finish. He was very responsive when we called about a job we needed done quickly. He came over, walked through our yard assessed each bush and tree, made recommendations and wrote up a bid on the spot. Fair price, good work and a great guy to work with. He and his helper came out the very next day and performed the work exactly as discussed, leaving enough room for the masonry workers to do their job comfortably and saving all of our shrubs and trees. Very happy and will definitely hire him again as other needs come up.

I phoned Michael and he was able to meet me immediately. He took his time to walk me through my yard and make suggestions as to what I needed to do in order to get the yard in shape prior to rental. He was very pragmatic and knowledgeable, making recommendations which balanced cosmetics with practicality. I was particularly impressed with his suggestions and work on a large tree in my front yard, which he expertly pruned. I will use Michael's services again.

Michael was very responsive, calling me back right away, coming over very promptly to give me an estimate, then coming the next day to complete the job. It was obvious he likes his job and does it well. He gave me, a complete gardening novice, a lot of advice in addition to making my yard look beautiful again. It went great!! He came out and did a detail walk through of my yard and gave recommendations that I had ot considered. I did like the fact that he knew the names of the plants and if it should be pruned now or if we should wait until fall. Also Michael was very responsive - when I called him in the morning to let him know we wanted to hire him for the work, by the time I got home that same day the job was almost done!!! And everything had been hauled away and cleaned up. He also reached out to his network to get me a few quotes for the stump removal of my trees (that's next) Overall, I was impressed with Michael's professionalism and qualitly of the work. He has made a few follow up calls to make sure everything is ok and should be back out in a few weeks to pull my ivy as he put down killer that needs some time to take effect I would use Michael again!!
