Michael's Landscaping-A Better Pruning

Michal met with me promptly and made good suggestions and estimates to remove some large trees from my yard. He and his workers were friendly and efficient. There was no loud music or smoking while they worked. They cleaned up and hauled away the yard waste and ensured that I was happy with the work. I would definitely recommend them to neighbors and friends.

Michael provided excellent, careful, timely tree trimming service at a fair price, and a very pleasant person as well.

Michael was very helpful in helping us think through the options and then figuring out how he could work with a subcontractor to reach the tall parts of the hedge with Michael covering the lower parts and supervising all the work. Since we had worked with Michael on a prior project and were happy with his work, I was glad we could use him again as I knew that the job would be of high quality. I love working with Michael because I know the job will be done right. He comes over for a review of what we would like done and offers his suggestions. There is never a feeling that he is trying to sell more work. My wife felt that he gave our house a facelift with all of the work he did.

I set a day and time to meet with Michael, he showed up on time and gave me a detailed bid. The offer was fair and so I accepted and he had the work completed within three days. Looks great!

It went well. We met at the site, discussed what needed to be done and talked about scheduling. I received the contract, signed it, and sent my deposit check. The job was done on the days as promised and met my expectations.

Michael is, quite simply, fabulous. He does a meticulous job and has a wonderful work ethic. He and Max came out on a rainy, windy Saturday and spent four hours working. The job exceeded my expectations and the trees are now healthy, plus everything looks great.

I cannot express how glad we were to find him. No matter if we were in town or out of town, we knew he would handle the job and get it done!!! Excellent. Michael and his team did an amazing job removing the junipers, ivy, and weeds from our yard giving us a solid space to begin replanting. The area was quite large and suffered years of neglect from previous owners; therefore, we required a professional to come in and clear away the yard. Michael routinely checks in on us and provides candid feedback on next steps to maintaining our yard. He is friendly, courteous, and a great neighbor. Would definitely recommend.

Michael was amazing! He was meticulous, methodical and knowledgeable about the trees being pruned, and not once did he try to sell unnecessary services that most tree services push. He also cleaned up the yard and street beautifully without having to be asked. He even diplomatically talked down our next-door neighbor who was a bit peeved we were trimming our trees on the day her house went on the real estate market -- not an easy task!

I was very lucky to find Michael to help me maintain my yard. His experience and advice has been invaluable. Some contractors will do what you want them to do if it means more work for them but Michael will try to talk you out of work if he thinks it is not the right thing to do. He does his best to make sure that I am a happy and satisfied customer. I would not choose anyone else.

Really, Michael is a great guy. Easy to talk to, explains everything, listens to what you want, and if a job is too big for him to do on his own, he'll recommend people that can. He came out to our West Seattle house, and even was nice enough to take some extra yard waste we had with him as he had room in the truck. Great price, and really went the extra mile to make sure the job was done right. Will, without a doubt, hire him again.

As always, Michael worked efficiently and thoroughly and left our yard looking neater than it was before the three fall wind storms. We've had Michael do small jobs and larger ones (pruning two apple trees, a 25 foot laurel hedge, an unruly wisteria, greatly overgrown rhododendrons, and more) for ten years or more. We will have him back soon for the apple trees and spring cleanup.

Michael stopped by to give me an estimate the same day I called him. A few days after that I called to say I wanted to hire him and he said he'd start later that day, which he did with his assistant Paul. This was great because the reason we needed the pruning done was to get the bushes away from our roof line since squirrels had moved in to our attic. They returned two days later to finish the job since the heavy rains prevented them from coming sooner. The bushes look great, you can tell Michael is a perfectionist because he would go back to each one to tweak them repeatedly. He was also nice enough to work around my toddler daughter's nap time since pruning is quite noisy.

The jobs were done quickly and met my needed schedule. Communications were very good, throughout the work. I was contacted whenever there was a question. Michael made sure that he did what I wanted to be done. He also offered ideas that he thought make the job go better.

Michael used his expertise to get my job done for an amazingly good price. And asked for nothing at all in return. Unbelievably good customer service!

This is my third time hiring Michael to make my yard presentable. This time I'd let it go for four years, and all the trees and bushes were wildly overgrown. Michael came in and did a magnificent job cutting back and shaping all the shrubs and trees, while still leaving them healthy. In addition, he cut down and removed a huge juniper in the planting strip that was way overgrown, and way ugly. He also removed a couple of trees that had died. The ivy covering the chain link fence between my neighbors' yards and mine was shaved back. All the plantings in the front, back, and side yards were pruned. He hauled away all the resulting debris, leaving the area clean and neat. Michael worked to make everything look good, and back under control. He is totally knowledgeable about all plants, and was very patient with me in explaining everything. He got my OK for all the major tasks before proceeding. His suggestions were always spot on. He was efficient and timely. This was a huge job, but he was done in three days. I'll definitely be calling him again, hopefully before four years have passed.

I called Michael's based on the positive reviews, and I am very happy that I did! Michael was a real pleasure to work with from start to finish. After my initial phone call to the office, he called back quickly and was able to come out for a quote later on the same day, and got started on the job after we had agreed on everything. He seemed very knowledgeable. He is also very friendly and easy to work with. He discussed the options of what should be done patiently with me. He did an excellent job trimming and shaping our maple tree. He also cut down an (unwanted) tree to the ground. This tree had limbs growing around multiple power lines, but they did the job carefully not to damage any lines. Blackberry bush was really overgrown at an awkward location on our alley but they did a great job cutting it back to the ground ready to be sprayed. After the job was completed, they cleaned up everything and hauled it away. The bill was exactly as quoted in the estimate - in fact, he gave us a discount on the spraying, so we ended up paying less than we expected. Overall, I cannot recommend Michael's highly enough and we will definitely use their services again.

Michael's is really fast and really knowledgeable about trees and landscaping.He helped us out with such short notice. We had to rush to get our yard cleaned out and he definitely made it happen. Him and his team, Paul, did a fabulous job at cleaning out the yard. I wish he would have been more professional in his mannerisms and demeanor. He charged us $650 to remove and dig out bamboo from our yard, but then referred us to an arborvitae to remove the bamboo for us. I was about to double pay for the same job, but I got a hold of the invoice and realized he was already charging me for a job he wasn't going to complete. After I mentioned it he said he would pay for the arborvitae. I had to call him to finish the job he had started after he and had discussed the timeline and the urgency of the project. He kept saying he was doing us a favor and we were very lucky he was doing this for us. We paid him over $2,000 so I didn't see it as a favor but part of the job. He also showed up to our house twice after the job was done unexpectedly and without notice. It definitely scared us and it was very inappropriate. I don't think we would use Michael again. Simply because of the miscommunication and misunderstandings that happened.

Once again Michael did a fine job, once again I am happy to recommend him to others. Michael has been doing work for us, including pruning two apple trees, for some years, Certainly we hope he'll be back to carry on his dependably good work, for which he charges very reasonably.
