Marv's Painting

We purchased our home 13 years ago from the owner who had it being used as a rental property. Needless to say the house was in need of new paint even then! Over the next several years we had approximately 5 estimates done. The estimates ranged from $3800 up to $5500. Our home is a 1976 multilevel at 1700 SF, pretty typical in our development. When Marvis came by and asked if he could give us an estimate, we agreed but assumed it would be in the same range as all the other estimates. We were more than surprised when he quoted the job at $2395 which included a pressure wash and a paint that was rated at 20 years! He even offered a discount off the total if we were to complete the pressure wash ourselves. We jumped at the bid and scheduled the job only 3 weeks out. Our thought was even if the quality was a little lacking we could do some touch up ourselves, which would be acceptable at that fee. We issued a deposit for supplies, picked our colors and were set. The entire visit was only about 90 mins. 3 days prior to the project start, Marvis came by and pressure washed/prepped for painting. Between himself and his employee they had the painting done, site cleaned and touch ups completed by the end of day 3. The job was great, he was polite and informative and all for less than $2400!!!! We recommended him to 2 family members that noticed the house and inquired about the contractor. We are also considering a few interior projects this fall & winter when his schedule slows down. As far as house projects go, we couldn't have been happier!
