+ -1 moreI called Mark about noon and he was at my house by 4:00pm, giving me a call that he was on his way when he had finished a previous job. He knew what the problem was when I told him on the initial contact that the frig wouldn't turn off and the freezer temps were below 0. He arrived, cleaned out the drain tube and installed a drain tube heater and helped clean up the mess. I was very pleased with his service.

+ -1 moreOn a Saturday morning i realized that the refrigerated section of my refrigerator was not getting cold even though the freezer section was staying frozen. i made a number of calls but Mark Wiseman Appliance Service was the first I found to be open. Even though he did not service my area he asked me for information of my problem and, as it turned out, correctly told me what the problem was. He was very pleasant and helpful and it relieved me to know that I had a fixable problem and didn't need to buy a new refrigerator.

+ -1 moreWhen I called Mark, I expected him to set up a time to come to my house to take a look and fix the issue. Instead, he said he thought it was a common problem that I could probably fix myself. He gave me instructions on what to do and even called back a few hours later to see if it had worked This was all on his own time - no charge. The suggestion worked like a charm. He totally earned my business, and he'll be the first person I call if I ever have an appliance problem in the future. I sincerely appreciated his helpfulness and professionalism....and integrity to not charge me a service call fee for something I could handle easily on my own.

+ -1 moreHe was amazing. I called him because my freezer looks like it wasn't being cold and he said that it could be one or two things. One thing is gonna be basically unfixable and the other one will be fixable. He was able to squeeze me on the next day and he came. He fixed it and he was quick. It cost me less than he expected. He thought it could be about $200 and it was even less than that. I was very happy and I just thought it was great.

+ -1 moreI called Mark based on Angie's List reviews and I'm glad I did. My washer has been acting weird for a few weeks--making random beeping noises, not starting. So I finally called Mark. First, I was impressed that he answered--so many calls to repair persons go straight to VM. He quickly diagnosed the likely problem (bad latch) and gave me a cost estimate if that was in fact the problem. Said he could come out on Tuesday (call made on Thursday), but he would try to squeeze me in right away. At 6:45 pm that evening he called and asked if it was OK for him to come by now. Wow--yes! He showed up a few minutes later, looked at the washer, quickly changed the latch--and it was fixed--yay! Would definitely use Mark's services again!!

Description of Work: I called Mark, to get assistance to fix my ice make. He pointed out the quite simply the ice maker needed to be replaced. He quuoted me what it would take, but also pointed out that this may be something I could do myself, which I opted to do.

Description of Work: I have a front loader washing machine that would not spin, called and left message with Mark. He called back later that night (after his normal hours) and first stated I was outside his service area (Issaquah) but than went over things to check before having someone come out. If this shows his normal care to his customers I would highly recommend him. If I ever move into his service area I would call him first.

+ -1 moreWhen we first called him, he couldn't come for a few days, which was a problem since our fridge wasn't working. He recommended we fully defrost the fridge/freezer for 24 hours so it would start working again until he could come out. That worked like a charm and gave us a good solution until he could come to our house. He was very nice to our kids and super professional, on time and it cost exactly what he originally estimated. We are calling him again to repair our dryer and dishwasher.

+ -1 moreIKnowledgeable, pleasant, common sense, and an all-around nice guy. He provided helpful comments on what is the best course of action for each machine. The dishwasher was leaking because of a loading problem. The washing machine needed new bearings, of which he said it's best to just get a new one. He did not charge one dime for his advice or his service call trip. Wow.
Description of Work: I had him look at a dishwasher (leaking) and a washing machine (sounded like it was readying for lift-off).

He came and looked at my unit and found there was a bad compressor. He took the measurements, and determined what my requirements were. I needed a new fridge, but he did all the work finding one for me. It was very good customer service.

He spent 5 min or so discussing my problem, and then referred me to another vendor. I thought this was nice of him to spend time with me even though he would not be coming out to service my refrigerator. I would use him if I lived in his service area.

He was able to diagnose the problem which helped when scheduling an appointment with another service provider. However we were able to find a service provider who could get to the job earlier.

Rather than just hanging up the gent asked me several questions about the problem I was having and pretty much diagnosed it over the phone. This allowed me to find another company and give them some specific info in the hopes that they will show up with the right part. The guy didn't have to spend a minute of extra time on me and he was clearly busy. It's a mark of a company that has a commitment to customer service so I felt I needed to submit a quick review.If you're in the Seattle area and need appliance repair I'd start with these guys.

Description of Work: I cannot tell you what a life saver Mark was for me today! It is three days before Christmas, and we are having a house full of guests with no working dishwasher! We are working our way down Angie's list top rated companies, and the first few aren't even answering their phones. I get to Mark's number, and he answers! I am thinking, finally, I am going to get an appointment to fix our dishwasher. No luck, Mark doesn't service Redmond. Instead of simply hanging up on me and moving on, which would have been easy to do, Mark asks me what is going on. He then asks me if I am somewhat "handy". He then proceeds to ask me a number of questions and figures out right away what the problem was. Instead of just leaving me to figure it out, he stays on the phone with me and walks me through how to fix the problem, step by step! I get the tools, the flashlight and we get to work....over the phone! I offered to send him a check for saving me the money on a service call in Redmond, and helping me fix the problem over the phone, but he refused. I can tell you this, in 20 years of working with service professionals, I have never run across anyone that was so willing to help, and so knowledgable...especially when there wasn't anything in it for him. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He was able to fix my problem without ever actually being there, and walked me through the problem over the phone. I am very grateful.
