Mark was awesome -- he asked key questions to try to diagnose/solve the problem first on the phone and then came within 30 minutes of our conversation (said he was already in the neighborhood). He quickly determined what the issue was and fixed it -- and was super friendly throughout. Couldn't have been happier with the experience.

I called Mark and explained to him the problems. He took time to really understand and provide feedback on those problems. Unlike other guys out there just charge you $100 just to come and look at it, Mark tries to resolve the issues on the phone before coming out to your place. It is unfortunate that he does not do service in my area. Great guy for appliance repair needs otherwise.

Mark arrived on time, with a heads up call ahead of time. He quickly resolved the problem of the plugged drain of the GIbson washing machine, and then discovered one of the shocks was broken. He gave me an assessment of the situation: difficulty of finding full size W/D to fit into the built-in space my current W/D set was in, needing to replace probably with compact machines unless I wanted to remodel the cabinetry, or putting in another $100 or so to put in new shocks. I chose the new shocks at this time. He gave me good advice about type and amount of detergent for a front loading washer, how to keep the smelly scum away, and also how to clean the area the dryer lint screen sits in. I also talked with him about my Sub-Zero side by side refrigerator, which has an ice ball on the back wall lower shelf. Even though he doesn't repair Sub-Zero, he told me what the likely problem was, how much it would cost to fix vs buying a comparable replacement and recommended repair because it was a good brand and model. He even checked with another company and called me back, confirming his assessment. Mark is kind of a character, talks aloud as he's working. But he is polite and full of good information.

Mark's initial call back was so helpful. He asked for details about the problem and followed up with some clarifying questions to arrive at the conclusion that it was likely the drive coupler. My dad happened to be stopping by the next day to help with some house projects, so Mark suggested I look underneath to see if there were some bits of rubber. He said that was a likely sign of of the coupler going out but give him a call back if my dad and I weren't able to take care of it. I felt a little guilty for taking his expert advice and then seeing if my dad and I could fix it. Needless to say...not even his advice and youtube could help us. I called back today and scheduled Mark to come the following Saturday. He ended up contacting me a few hours later to see if he could work on it today. He arrived 20 minutes later and fixed the coupler as well as the agitator dogs for the price he quoted me on the phone. It took under an hour and as he waited for the washer to complete a wash and spin cycle, he checked & secured the hoses, leveled both the washer and dryer, found and fixed an electrical safety hazard on the back of the dryer (yikes), explained how to remove the fabric softener dispenser from the top of the agitator in order to clean out all the gunk and described how my dad and I could clean out the mesh behind where the hoses attach to the washer to help with better water flow. He knew I was trying to save money, so I really appreciated these suggestions! Mark was very friendly, professional and efficient. He is a one-man operation, so he picked up a few calls on his blue tooth while he was working here. Didn't bother me one bit - I figure he probably took my call when he was helping someone else, too, and I feel confident I could get a hold of him in a jam! Mark's card is now on my fridge, so if (knock on wood) another appliance has issues I absolutely know who I will call! Thanks, Mark!

Mark responded to my initial phone inquiry and arranged to make a service call early the next day (7/10). He was cordial, informative and quickly determined the source and resolved the problem with our newer (4 yr. old) model refrigerator as a fairly common and known issue to appliance repair technicians. Noticed increased cooling effect after the repair was made and will arrange to defrost as the final step. Mark was very careful to emphasize that without a MINIMUM 24-hr full defrosting period (powered off, emptied and doors open) the repair could be compromised and require another technician visit. A follow-up phone call about the defrosting process (no user-serviceable drip pan) was answered fully and courteously. He indicated that moving the refrigerator away from the wall and putting down a towel should absorb any water not evaporated during defrosting. After completing the 24-hr. defrosting period (some water leaked when refrigerator moved, easily absorbed by towels) refrigerator cleaned and plugged in. Freezer compartment froze ice cubes rapidly overnight and refrigerator compartment now maintaining a steady 38 degrees F temp. (within acceptable food safety range).

He was good and one thing I like about him was that I had him come in to look at an old dryer and he told me that they did not make the same model anymore so he could not just replace the parts. I would have to get a new dryer. He recommended three and gave me very valid reasons why. He did not just leave me in the dark to try to find it on my own and I appreciated that. When I got it he installed it. He did not charge me to inspect it.

Mark was fantastic! He called me back quickly after I left a voice message and he came out the next day (a Saturday!) to fix my dryer. He was thoughtful and explained what he was doing. I was on a crunch and he was willing to work with the time as well. I am very impressed and I will highly recommend him to anyone that has appliance repair needs.

Mark referred me to Andy Kao since I was in Andy's service area. I had a dryer that stopped working/turning. Andy was great. He was actually able to diagnose over the phone and when he arrived he was able to quickly assess the repair, provide a quote and do the repair since he had the parts with him.

Mark referred us to Scott Wiseman who supports the West Seattle area. Scott was very nice and showed up earlier that I expected. He was very nice in explaining what was wrong with our refrigerator. He had the replacements parts in his van and fixed our refrigerator in a very timely manner. Thanks!!

Mark was very nice. I was a bit out of his service area but he still came. Fixed clogged drain in freezer and removed plug to (hopefully) avoid same problem in future.

I called Andy Kao about a broken refrigerator. He figured out the problem quickly, and he had the parts to repair it, so I didn't have to have him come out a second time. While he was there, I told him the dryer suddenly stopped working. He had the parts to repair the dryer too.

Andy Kao was great. My refrigerator was leaking. He unclogged the refrigerator defrost line, and that was that. Andy came on time. Quoted a reasonable price. Then lowered the price because the job was easier than he thought it would be. He said that when he does a job, if he can't repair the appliance, he doesn't charge for the visit.

He was just great. He was honest and forthright, and said he couldn't fix the washer. He charged a very nominal fee and gave me suggestions on what to do, which I relayed to my landlord. I appreciated his friendliness and puncutality. The whole experience was pleasant and positive. I'd have him back again. I think my landlord uses him now.

He came out the first time, and he was very prompt. He efficiently corrected the wiring issue that caused our burner to go out. A few days later, it went out again. Mike was quick to return and do the additional repairs to permanently repair the issue. He was very pleasant, and we will use him again for any future appliance repair needs.

We have called on Mark's services a few times in the past. He is very quick to respond, and does a bit of troubleshooting on the phone, suggesting possible fixes. Then is usually able to schedule a visit within just a few days. This time, much the same. We live outside of the Seattle area, with a rental house on Capitol Hill. Quick phone call, discussed problem with clothes dryer, he suggested things to try that might fix it. When that didn't work, he scheduled a visit, showed up on time, resolved the problem. He called that evening to explain what he did. Efficient, professional! Highly recommend.

It didn't go at all because this company has a restricted service area that does not include where I live. This is not clearly stated on his Angie's List summary.

We're relatively new homeowners, so when our dryer broke and we couldn't just call the landlord, I'm glad we were able to call Mark! First, he talked through the problem over the phone with my husband, then after he was pretty sure he knew what the issue was, we set up a time for him to come over. He arrived promptly, was incredibly friendly and easygoing, then he diagnosed and fixed the problem with lightning speed for a very reasonable price. I'll call him again whenever we need repairs and highly recommend him to others!

Mark was terrific. He found what was wrong, ordered the part, returned a few days later to install it and the dishwasher is working great. He straightens up after he is finished and he is fun to talk to while he works. I would call him again and recommend him.

He found that I had loaded it wrong in a certain area and it made a funny noise. He checked it out and found nothing else wrong and it has operated perfectly ever since.

First of all he actually answers his phone! Got him live my first try. Then, instead of scheduling an appointment to look at my broken frig, he was able to troubleshoot the problem over the phone - for free I might add. Repair guys like this are pretty rare these days! Now if only the people that made the appliances had this kind of integrity...Will definitely be keeping his number handy.

Mark was great. When I first called him, he had never seen the problem I was having with my dishwasher before. He told me upfront that he might not be able to fix it. Despite that, he was able to troubleshoot the problem, find a part that would fix it (clamps that could be tightened).

Since i'm in West Seattle it was Steve Wiseman who came over...same company. Steve was excellent and even recommended NOT doing more work despite it putting more money in his pocket. Very high trust.

Unbelievably prompt and professional service. He had the problem diagnosed before I was even off the phone with him, and he left me with great tips for preventing future problems. He could have charged much more for the convenience, speed, and accuracy of the service provided, compared to the true cost of his expertise and the education that he provided to me. I will keep his number in my wallet for future repair needs.

replaced gas stove igniter and looked at dishwasher that was not turning on. Fixed gas stove successfully and advised not to repair dishwasher as it would be better to buy a new one. |Labor was $115 for less than an hour plus parts and tax made bill $212. Cost prohibitive for a landlord; this gives me the incentive to continue doing my own repairs by spending the time to diagnose and fix problems myself (which I have done for 18 years) because of the time/cost relationship.

I don't remember when I had him out but though he was very nice he did not know how to fix my washer. He simply looked on the company website which I had already done. He spent all morning doing the same thing. I finally had to ask him to leave and called some one else who fixed the problem right away. I was charged for the visit which I can't recall what it was and thought it unfair as he didn't fix it.
