Great - they now clean our house every other week.

The most wonderfully surprising thing her first visit was that the electric stove top got clean! Also the floor tile in the kitchen, and tile on the countertops were more clean than when we bought our home 7 years ago! Amazing! The first cleaning took longer than estimated due to our dirt buildup, but she left us very satisfied with her wonderful job. Every visit, her steam cleaner and elbow grease continue to get our floors and surfaces really clean. Each room gets her full cleaning attention, and she is focused and thorough in all her work. We spent more on the first cleaning, and it was worth every penny. With that good start, she still does more than just maintain our home: she always leaves it more clean than ever. We're very happy with her work each time she comes, and will remain with her services over any other house-cleaner!

We've been talking about it for ages and finally decided to try a cleaner for our very large, unkempt, and animal hair-filled house. Feeling very embarrassed about all that, we called Melissa and she got right to work. In fact, she doesn't take breaks! Highly focused, thorough, and conscientious, she made the place shine and has continued making us feel like very clean people through her visits over the last 3 months. The cleaning methods she uses really do make a difference in the final "clean smell" test with no trace of cover-up scents used by others, but leaves the place fresh and natural smelling. Melissa is great and we'll continue to call her until she gives up on us!

I like her work, I think she is more thorough than other cleaners I have used. I like that she is not using smelly chemicals. When she finishes the house smells clean, but without a "cleaner scent." He price seems to be moderate at $30/hr. It is taking longer to clean than the original estimate, but that is okay.

Initially I felt she was a good fit for my needs. She was thorough and did follow directions etc. But the fact she could not respond to my phone calls was not the right thing to do. I had no idea why she dropped me like that. A business owner must follow through on promises, or at least explain the problem. I would not recommend her to anyone under these circumstances. Sorry.

It was excellent work. I am expecting her to do work for me every other week now. She seemed to do a very good job of everything that I asked her to do. I actually was not there to monitor her while she was doing it. I just looked at the work after she was finished.

I found Melissa through Angie's List, looking for a "green" housekeeping company for a deep cleaning session of our house. I emailed and left a phone message, and she got back to me a couple of days later. For scheduling on a Friday morning, she was able to agree to Sunday afternoon. Then, our plans changed and we checked to see if she could switch to the next Tuesday instead. She got back to us on Sunday morning and said that Tuesday was fine. Very grateful for her flexibility and understanding! She came in on Tuesday morning and worked for most of the day (5 hours). I only saw the end result, as it was my husband who was home at the time, but I was impressed with the level of detail and how clean everything was for not having any chemicals used. Since our place hadn't been deep cleaned before, we had to stop her from attacking the entire house, as that would have taken another day at least. But, the two bathrooms, kitchen, dining room and living room were sparkling, and it was just what we needed to have done before company arrived. Even our master bath, that used to have a slight mold smell that we couldn't trace to a source, was fresh and shiny. I'd like our household budget to include a regular visit from Melissa. Certainly for company visits!

Melissa is running a special - $28/hr instead of usual $35/hr. Still expensive but she does everything. Where I see other less expensive (at least in terms of base rate) services charge extra for cleaning knobs on stoves, finger prints off doors, etc., she doesn't even ask - she just does it. There are light fixtures high up in the skylight in the bathroom - I could tell she cleaned them. Melissa provides all her own equipment and uses no toxic chemicals. She uses steam and when she leaves, all surfaces are spotless. She is licensed and bonded. My house has gone through a combination of construction projects and lots of company so it has been in dire need of cleaning. The first cleaning took 7 hours, the second (3 weeks later) - 4 hours, and she thinks a "normal" cleaning will be 3 hours. I would like to hire her on a regular schedule but don't know if I can afford it - especially when her hourly rate goes back up. I will definitely hire her for seasonal cleaning.
