Luna Remodel

Alasdair was great to work with, easy going, responsible, punctual, responsive, and flexible when needed. He takes pride in his work and it shows through with great craftsmanship and attention to detail. He's definitely one of the best contractors I've worked with. My project was fairly large, involving leveling out various areas of the basement floor to install luxury vinyl planks, tile a shower stall and bathroom floor, install interior and exterior doors, and trim everything out to match the main areas of my 1925 home. In addition he refinished a set of stairs to replace threads, add handrails and balusters. He communicated with me throughout the project letting me know about the progress, asking for my feedback and input on the project along the way, and making sure that I was satisfied with the work. Whenever issues came up, or I changed my mind on something, he was very easy to provide his input and accommodate as necessary. The results came out great and small issues like doors slightly rubbing or some rough spots that needed extra sanding were taking care by Alasdair without no issues. He is mainly a one man crew which plays to his benefit as he can put his personal attention and care into the whole job. This works very well for me as well, since I'm usually very picky at how I want a job done and tend to obsess over the details and the quality of the results. I will certainly be calling him back when other work is needed around the house.

It went exceptionally well. He and his assistant were very polite, timely, methodical and professional in completing the job over two days. I would be very happy to have him work on other projects in my house

Alasdair responded to phone and email promptly, gave me a written estimate, arrived on the days and at the times he told me he would, and did the various jobs quickly and very well. When he ran into glitches he informed me and went back to his shop to make/fix whatever he needed to complete the work. He finished the work in a couple of half days and the cost came in under estimate. He provided me with an itemized bill. Alasdair was polite, professional, and friendly. He asked permission to have his dog accompany him. She was sweet and well behaved. I will be happy to hire him again when I have saved up for a bigger project.

The project turned out perfect. Alasdair finished on budget and ahead of schedule. The patio is wonderful. One side of the patio has a half wall for privacy and the other has a railing that looks out over my yard. It's the best part of our home. The garage looks nice too with natural cedar siding and a modern glass garage door. I had it insulated and finished inside so it can be used as an office. I always get compliments on the garage. I would highly recommend Alasdair for any general residential construction. Since remodeling the garage Alasdair has completed several other projects for me as well. He is a pleasure to work with.
