Le's Landscape & Yard Work

Since the estimate was on a little higher side than what we had planned we might not take this project right now but would definitely use them next time we have something.

I do twice a year yard/landscape cleaning up - typical things: pruning, trimming, blowing off the leaves, weeding. The house has no backyard because it's up against hillside, so not a huge amount of work. In the past few years, I was paying anywhere between $400 to $650 with $650 being a very nicely and thoroughly done job. My current landscaper lives in Bothell and goes to Seattle reluctantly - he does it because he maintains my yard in Kirkland. I saw Le landscaping has great reviews and pricing seem very reasonable such as overall cleanup and removing 2 diseased trees were $700. So I thought I'd give give Le a try and have someone lives in Seattle look after the Seattle property. Le was prompt in responding to my request, was professional, but I was shocked when he gave me his price, $1400!! It's not like I'm taking out a tree. When I read other members feedback and see that they had similar jobs but much less, I couldn't help myself but wonder if Le decided to charge me much more because he saw I got a view home, but $1400 was stunning.

His crew did a beautiful job. I wish he did regular service on the east-side, however I understand he is in the Seattle area. Angie's list could use more people like Mr. Le on their services. After the last person I hired to do a remodeling job I was Leary of using another person. I will hire him again next year to do my yard spring clean up

Fantastic - we plan to retain Mr. Le's landscaping for the future. Mr. Le is very personable, responsive and professional. His team provides excellent services in a rapid fashion.

Coung Le and his crew saved my bacon. I was trying to do all the work solo and bit off more than I could chew, since the whole yard consisted of weeds. I wanted a clean palette to turn the front yard into mostly garden areas, and with the expensive Dewitt weed block placed down with great precision (something I couldn't have pulled off) we have already started planting, and don't have to worry about massive weed invasions. Considering the labor intense nature of the job, they were quick, professional and I still can't get over how neat and nice the weed block went down with little x's cut out for pre-existing plants. It was almost a shame to cover it with 6 inches of bark. And to think I was gonna haul all that bark in my little truck. Dump trucks are far more superior, and the way to go about moving vast quantities of, well, anything. I should have hired them in the beginning.

Mr. Le was always prompt - from my first request to an estimate to scheduling the work and then completing the work. I have quite a large front yard that had been neglected for years (I am a recent owner of the home). It was way too much work for me to accomplish and I knew I needed professional help. Mr. Le and crew arrived the first day on time and we reviewed all the work he was going to do. The job took two full days. After the first day, the yard was already transformed! Everything looked so clean. You never would have known there were weeds and bark in the front lawn before. I'm not kidding, there wasn't a piece of bark to be seen or dirt anywhere it shouldn't have been! On the second day, the crew finished by laying the new top soil and grass seed (over 1000 sq feet worth). Within three weeks, the grass started growing and my yard looks completely different (in a good way). Mr. Le had great ideas about how to simplify the landscaping of the front yard to not only make it easy to maintain, but to look nice as well. I am very pleased with the work Mr. Le and his crew completed in the front yard and I'm excited for future projects (new front yard flowers, etc... and re-doing the backyard) I have planned. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Mr. Le again. Yes, $4,000 is quite a bit to spend, but the amount of work needed was huge and it looks amazing. Considering everything involved, I thought the price was very reasonable. Mr. Le knows what he is doing!!

Everything went very well. Professional, on time, cleaned up after themselves, and good communication every step of the way. I would use them again in the future

Usually our unwatered lawn recovers at the end of the summer, but this year's drought left large sections of it completely dead. Mr. Le responded to my contact promptly, was easy to schedule, arrived on time and was a pleasure to work with. The workers knew what they were doing and worked efficiently. I forgot to mention the location of the sprinkler heads to Mr. Le but his crew expertly worked around them. Cleanup was neat. We highly recommend Mr. Le.

Mr Le contacted me very promptly in response to my inquiry, and arrived very quickly to provide me with an estimate. We walked the yard and I outlined in general terms what I wanted done. I was worried that I wasn't specific enough - but I shouldn't have worried. Couple of days later Mr Le and his crew arrived, and they began the work. I wasn't there to supervise, as I went to work. When I returned, the yard was transformed into exactly what I had imagined - they had mowed, edged, removed the weeds from pretty much everywhere, trimmed the big and small bushes, trees, and plants, and cleaned up between them (all ready for a nice layer of bark!). They also cleaned up the stubborn growth between stones and the driveway. Also, they cut the overgrown branches from the apple tree (very tall), and picked apart and removed an old playground structure. No trace, everything nice and cleaned up. Bit pricey, but very satisfied with the work.

He never kept his words. I can share all the messages I sent and received. He didn't even let me know he was coming and did the work while I was out. He charged $1200 for sprinkler maintenance although he came with a lady and worked less than half a day. But, one thing I liked him about was that he had consistency at least although it was in a wrong direction.

Used this service for several seasons. Price reasonable, Work done well. Cleanup done well. Timely.

Le made it easy and non stressful. Not fuzzy on price. There on time from initial estimate through to completion . This was my best experience by far in this area. He started early and finished on time, haven't seen that in a while...thank you Mr Le !

We were very happy with the efficiency and quality of the work and the final results. Yard looks better than it has in decades! We will definitely have Mr. Le and his team back for future projects.

We moved into new rental home in Bellevue that had not had any landscaping upkeep/maintenence done for over 9 months. Le's Landscaping team scheduled us in right away and performed the cleanup work in less than 2 days. Very considerate of our time and provided estimated cost of job right away. I will definitely use them again.

This contractor was to come back to maintain the property for my client on a twice monthly basis and leave an invoice on the doorstep. The agreed upon price was $50 per visit - because of the simplicity of the work (it is a very small property with no grass and no plantings). Maintenance would involve leaf blowing and weed control. My client went out of town for 3 weeks and I was stopping regularly at his cottage on the lake to take care of administrative tasks, cleaning, etc. I would also walk around the small property to check on the condition of weeds, etc., and to make sure nothing was out of place with the home being exposed to boaters. I was at the house on a Tuesday, I believe it was - and the very next day, an invoice appeared on the doorstep from Mr Le (or his company). I walked around the property and noticed that nothing looked any different from the day before. It was as if no one had even been there - the hillside had not been weeded (although I had sent an email asking them to do that on their next visit and to add onto the invoice). No weeds had been pulled along the fence line which I had also asked them not to forget 'next time' ...and the weeds had not been pulled from the 7 planters - something I had also asked them to include each time (and which would have taken all but 5 minutes - literally - to take care of! All in all, it felt as if they had possibly taken the leaf blower around the little cottage and may have taken all of 5 minutes there - yet billed my client the full amount. It felt to me as if this contractor knew my client was out of town and took advantage of the situation. When I called Mr Le to complain to him; he was extremely rude to me on the phone. When I told him my client would be putting a check in the mail for him that same day to cover the cost of work done while he was away; Mr Le did say it wasn't necessary but my client went ahead and paid anyway because he felt it was the 'right' thing to do. I since cancelled the services and asked that they not return. We have found a new provider and they have done a fantastic job so far and I am hoping for 100% honest, ethical and responsible service this time.

The doorbell rang promptly at 8am. Mr. Le introduced me to the crew and confirmed the work we had agreed on. They set directly to work, taking out the abundance [it was really, really in a bad state] of weeds. There were small dead stumps to be removed, hardened ground to be broken up in order to take out the weeds and in general, lots of weeds. The crew worked from 8-5 and by the time that day was done, I had a visceral reaction every time I stepped out the front door. The transformation was inconceivable. The next day the crew returned to apply weed inhibitor and cover the clean ground with a dense layer of beauty bark. They did some more trimming and then cleaned everything up. My yard looks amazing. I have even had emails from neighbors commenting on how good it looks. The crews both days were efficient, polite, unobtrusive and skilled. I did not have to "oversee," as some of my neighbors report having to do with their landscaping services. I would definitely recommend Le's Landscaping and plan on using them again.

Called him to get an estimate on a big lot for landscaping, he called right back and said he might be in the area and will give me an hr heads up so i can meet him at the site. Called me 5 minutes before and asked me to meet at the site, instead of 1 hr heads up. So i said i will be heading out in 5 minutes and i am 5 minutes away he calls in 5 minutes asking where the site is. After my wife explained to him 5 times and told him times i am 5 minutes away he said he can't wait any longer than 5 minutes. At this point we decided not to work with him purely based on two things #1 - Communication #2 - Unprofessional. The provider called me to take my review down in exchange for discount, which i refused and off course ignored his further calls.

Mr. Le and his crew did A+++ work for us, not just A work! He was prompt and responsive, communicating with me very well at each stage from arriving for the free estimate, all the way to completion of the job, just as we had agreed on. I will definitely use him again when the need comes up and would encourage anyone needing landscape work to consider him.

My yard at my mother's house looks remarkable - the crew did a FANTASTIC job of trimming and sculpting all of the trees, bushes and shrubs. The lawns has been totally re-seeded and should be looking good again soon. All the beds were tidied up. They also cleaned up a lot of the junk and hauled away all the waste. The crew arrived when Mr. Le said they would and finished in just a few days. It was a very big job, but everything was done to my satisfaction. I chose Mr. Le because of his excellent ratings on AL, and I would highly recommend his company to others.

This is the third time we have used Mr Le's company. I needed a safer path beside the house that had become uneven with large tree roots and replaced with some kind of path material that would not be slick after rain (area is on an incline). Mr. Le knows his rocks. He chose large step stones that perfectly matched existing rockery, plus the stone he chose are large and wide enough to not ever move. Large roots were removed and stones installed. This is the same crew I have had with the other two jobs. Hard working and experienced. Great job. Lawn work was done quickly and just the way it should be done. I couldn't be happier with the finished work and already plotting another job that I have put off for years because I wasn't sure who to call. I am glad we found Mr. Le's company. He also did this job on a Saturday. Some companies won't work on week ends, but I think if it's needed, Mr. Le will schedule what time is best. I will be using this company again.

The project went great. Mr Le is expert at suggesting design and what replacement trees would look best. The five new trees are beautiful and I could tell they were fresh. His crew is hard working and have been with him for 15+ years. They hauled bark and top soil up three tiers of yard all day. They relocated several fairly large plants I wanted to save. They also removed by hand a tree stump the size of a small car and hauled it away. The end result, my yard is pretty as a picture! This is the best company ever. I find his cost very reasonable and the quality of work excellent. Mr Le has e-mail and responds quickly for any questions. This is the second time I have used this company and will use them for any future projects.

I was at my client's home for the consultation with Mr. Le. He was very timely and came by the same day I called when he realized I am only at this particular client's home one day a week and I needed to be there for the consultation; having worked in this business myself at one time. (I always use Angie's List for recommendations for services prior to hiring contractors for myself, my family members who depend on me, and for my clients.) I also recommend they join Angie's List but because they are super busy (that's why they have me, a professional organizer/personal assistant helping them), they also depend on me to do the reviews after the work is finished in most every case. So, while the work was not completed at my home; I can certainly vouch for all of it. Mr. Le's team brought in top soil, mulch and new gravel. They built up a brick walkway where there were divots and they shored up all of the parking area and also the back wall close to the water front where the bricks and rockery had broken up. They spent a great deal of time trying to get control of the darn weeds!!... and because my client travels a lot, those weeds just get out of control! Mr. Le convinced us to have their company come regularly for a very fair price...two times per month just to keep the weeds down and to blow the debris away. This really made sense to me to have the regular upkeep or the weeds just keep coming back...especially horsetail.They did a fantastic job on hedge trimming and also clean up ...They also built up the spacers between the steps going down to the lake with gravel so that weeds would be less inclined to pop through there and this also added stability. In the spring, we will talk about plantings and I know they will do an excellent job with that as well. All in all, this was an excellent job and they couldn't have been more responsive. The entire job was completed within 1 week of our first meeting with Mr. Le.

Everything went great. We have contracted with Mr. Le in the past and his team always does a great job and they do it quickly. I know when Mr. Le gives me a quote on a job that he always does more than we discuss. He always does what needs to be done to make our yard beautiful even if I forgot or didn't think of it. And he sticks to his original quote. He and his team are real crafts people and take pride in their work. Next spring I'll be replacing some concrete sidewalks and adding a patio and I know he will be one of the first people I call.

Le was extremely responsive and punctual for both the estimate and the day the work was completed. Although has team was efficient, the portions that were pressure washed wasn't as good as I'd hope, and had another vendor pressure wash. It could be that the other vendor had better pressure washing equipment. (?)

The estimate was thorough. I haven't Decided yet if I will use them or not
