Le's Landscape & Yard Work

The quality of Le's work is excellent; however, his pricing is not competitive. "Extra" services are extremely expensive. For example, I asked Le to put down mulch around the trees and flower beds, and he quoted a price of $500. This seemed very expensive to me, so I went to the nursery, bought $50 worth of mulch, and did it myself. It took about an hour of my time. If you use him, be sure you understand everything that is included and not included, and be sure he gives it to you in writing. Otherwise, he is very responsive, and he does excellent work.

We have a 9,400+ sq. ft. rectangular lot including an enormous hedge that runs almost the entire length of the long street side. While we've tried over the years to keep up with yard maintenance beyond mowing the lawns, things got out of hand with a combination of kids, jobs & grad school at the same time. We gave up hope of being able to catch up on our own and called Le, who promptly came out for a quote on the disaster scene. We were initially concerned that few specific details were written down on the quote and thought one of us should be home while work was done to clarify any questions as I have done in the past with two other companies & yard work. Le assured me I didn't need to stay home from work and knew what we needed done. I shouldn't have worried. Le's team arrived as scheduled, trimmed everything to the heights/sizes I requested during the quote, and did a phenomenal and thorough job turning this property completely around right down to removing the tiniest weeds in the rock pathways. Everything was cleaned up perfectly afterwards. The yards have never looked this good and all the landscaping was fairly new when we bought the house over 10 years ago. We are thrilled, excited to no longer be embarrassed about our yards, and looking forward to having Le's team work for us again on a much more timely spring clean up. Thank you for giving us our beautiful property back!

They did an excellent job. What I thought would be a 2 to 2 1/2 day job, they completed in 1 and 3/4 days. I received the estimate on a Thursday and they started work on the next day, Friday. The work was very professional and our yard has never looked better. I have no hesitation in hiring Mr. Le and his crew for any future work.

Mr. Le arrived exactly when he said he would to assess the job and offer an estimate; we were able to schedule with him to have the work done within a few days of his visit. His crew arrived promptly and worked hard and capably until the job was done. We are very pleased and will contract with this company for further work.

Mr Le and his crew began work on the vision he presented us with for our entire yard: front, back and sides. They constructed a wall at the top of the hill which not only bolstered the grassed and fenced portion of the property, but is also a pathway covered in gravel. At the bottom of the hill they constructed a brick wall and then filled in the space behind the wall with gravel, topsoil and fertilizer. We have various plants down there now and plan to add more. They moved our plants, trees and shrubs to places around the property which made more sense than the random places the previous owners had planted in. They also built a stone stairway going down the back hill, created additional garden space that my wife requested, Put automatic sprinklers all around our house (the property is 8800 sq. ft.); and used some bamboo from my neighbors yard (with permission) to build borders along both sides of the back yard hill I described. they also pressure washed the bottom of our deck to ready it for painting. They used plants that were on our property as much as possible so that we didn't have to go out and buy that many new plants. Mr. Le is extremely knowedgable about northwest vegetation, and has a fantastic sense of design when it comes to landscaping. He was very collaborative with my wife about where plants should go, listened to what she wanted and offered improvements on what she wanted when it was practicable. They were at our home for 4 weeks or so and we were very glad we hired them. Mr. Le tries to go above and beyond what he offers, and in our case he did.

Once I made the initial call, Khan Le was very prompt in coming over to evaluate projects. Some language barrier - asked me to email some of my ideas. Paved most of the driveway and then moved the pavers when the neighbors wanted more space! High quality work - and he gets it done right away. Would definitely call him for another project.

Amazing--he and his team had the work completed, debris removed and mulch applied in two days. I will definitely use Le for my landscaping maintenance and the renovation of my backyard.

Arrived on time, finished the job quickly. Trimming was well done and clean up was thorough. I recommend Mr. Le and will use his services whenever trimming is necessary.

I thought this Landscapers prices were very competitive. And the actual finished project was so much better than I expexted. I was very happy with the work but I'm sure that if there had been something wrong he would have fixed it until I was happy. Work was also done much faster than I expected. The work done was my front yard only, I will be calling him soon to do my back yard. Also, I had just a slight idea what I wanted, he made suggestions that I took and it turned out so much better than what I had in mind. Bottom line, this is the company to call!!!

I emailed Le at midnight last night asking for an estimate to mow my parking strip which had overgrown grass about a foot high. I have company coming from out-of-town tomorrow, and I had been sick and unable to mow it. Le replied by email about 7am with an estimate of $25 minimum, so I told him to go ahead. I came home at noon and Le's man was all done, with a great looking job. He also cleaned leaves off the patio and the driveway. What a relief!

originally said they would be there Saturday morning or Monday. Called me on Saturday to ask if they could come Sunday morning. Relunctantly, I agreed. They showed up Sunday morning about 7:40. I went outside to meet them. Mr. Le told me he would be leaving, and asked to be paid before they had even started work. I told him no. He asked me to pay a crew member, and I said ok. Mr. Le then left. The crew then performed the work. The work was acceptable except they did not spread shredded peat moss on the lawn after seeding it, as Mr Le had said they would. He also said they would leave what was left of the bag of grass seed behind, and they did not.

I thought that the work was pretty expensive, but it was worth it for all of the work that they did. He was very eager to please. There was a cultural thing where he kept saying that anytime I need help me would be willing to come over and help me because of my advanced age but I am not quite sixty yet. He meant it well but it was an interesting comment. There was an issue and he said it was not his guys. They were clearing out the ivy from the back and when I came home there were three cuts in the fence over the top three slats in the fence. The price would probably prevent me from hiring them again, although they did a lot of work and they got it all done in one day.

He was prompt, polite and did an outstanding job. We will use him again in the future.

While this was very expensive, it was the absolute best landscape work I have had performed on my yard in a very long time. Le was right on time, worked extremely hard in very hot weather with two other guys. We have a large yard with lots of plants and ornamental shrubs. I said I just wanted things thinned out, weeded, trimmed and then bark over it all. It took them two full days, but it was well worth it. I couldn't have been happier. They cleaned up after themselves and worked hard and fast. While Le was there, he noticed the pathway, which is stone, is very uneven. He said if I ever wanted to have him reset the stone so you wouldn't stumble, he would be happy to do so. I hired him right there an then and got an extremely good price for the work they did. These were boulders, huge and heavy - probably about 40 or so that he and two others took out, resurfaced so it was all even and replaced. He also put some new creeping plants between the stones. I had lots in there, but they were filled with weeds. All in all, this is a company that cares about their reputation and it shows.

I got Le's name from AL and called him on Aug. 12 asking if he could give me an estimate. He offered to come over that night at 6p. and he was here early, which was OK with me. With a quick look, he gave me an estimate of $700.00 which I thought seemed high for the small area, but since I had never had this done before, wasn't sure. In addition to the clean-up I was especially interested in getting some foliage planted to camoflage a concrete wall in front of our home. Plants were not included in the estimate. He said he could come the next morning (8/13) and do the cleanup and would come back the following day (8/14) with new plants to finish. Three people came the next morning on time and worked for about 2.5 hours. Mr. Le called me the following morning (8/14) to tell me he had not been able to find the right types of plants and suggested I wait until spring. He said because of this, he would charge me $600.00 instead of $700.00 and in spring, bring back some plants (I'd pay for) and charge another $100. We arranged for me to leave the check for him under a mat. I thought I'd get a receipt, but didn't so wrote an e-mail asking for an itemized one. He wrote a reply, with what was done generally, but no specific itemized costs, for soil, pavers, hauling, labor, etc. I should have gotten more estimates, but was so eager to get the long delayed job done, and surprised by his ability to do the job quickly, I agreed. I also expected some sort of written, itemized estimate or at least receipt but didn't get that. There is a definite improvement and neatness to our yard that I wanted and enjoy. Although the front area with the concrete wall, is cleaned up, so much was taken out, and some large bushes trimmed so much, that the concrete wall is more exposed than ever. The work that was done was good, but what sticks in my mind is that I paid $240, per hour for labor and services. Seems like a lot.

Never did return our call to set up time for job. Did come out promptly to give us estimate. BTW, after the estimate we told him we had a flyer that said we could get $10 off-he said it wouldn't count because he was giving us such a good deal anyway.

Mr. Le is sincere, hardworking and very meticulous (in a good way!) and it shows in his work. We initially wanted to rebuild pavement steps and walkway but Mr. Le suggested we replace them with concrete to save money and reuse the bricks for patio. I appreciated his initiative to walk around the yard and look for use for the old bricks. Mr. Le and his crew are fast but very precise and the finished work is BEAUTIFUL. We will definitely use him for another landscaping projects in the future.

Called Mr. Le on a Wed, to see if he could get our yard cleaned up prior to party at our home. He came by later that evening to give me a quote for the work. I asked for an additional quote for the sod and sprinkler system. He gave me a quote of about $1000 to clean up the yard and gave me a quote of $8500 for the sod and sprinkler system, but told me he would do all of it for $7500. I thought that was a fair price, so I told him it was Ok to start, but since our party was to be on Saturday, we didn't want him to tear up the yard until after, he agreed and was to start on Monday....he showed up on Sunday (which was fine with us) with a 5 man crew and worked all day getting the yard prepared for the sprinkers and sod. He had a 3 or 4 man crew for each of the next 5 days, and it was done by Friday. We did have a problem with the sprinklers working properley, but I called Mr.le and he was out the next morning and fixed it right up. Great job!!!!

Le was very prompt in returning my call and setting up a time for an estimate. Several other companies had given me estimates, but when Le mentioned that his crew was available the following Friday, I was very impressed. We would have had to wait several weeks with the others. I didn't dream we could get it done so quickly, but since we had a party planned for that Saturday, we were very anxious to have them do the work. His estimate was not the lowest, but I was impressed with his knowledge and the ideas that he came forward with as we walked through the yard. He and his crew arrived early on Friday and were able to complete the entire job in one day, sooner than expected. We now look forward to maintaining the yard a little easier ourselves. And we will probably give Le a call in the fall to do a seasonal clean-up which should cost much less.

Le was very responsive. I saw his other reports on angieslist and decided to call him for an estimate. He was out the next morning. His men were there on the next day(a Sunday) to do the initial cleanup. They had the entire job completed in 3 days. They had to spread 10 yards of bark in addition to all of the other work. They did a wonderful job . Our yard looks beautiful. They went above and beyond what I had asked them to do. I have Le and his team on a monthly contract to do our lawn maintenance. I will be recommending him and his business to others for sure!

Le was quick to return my call. He was very expert on everything I asked him about. We have a lot of work that needs to be done here but for now we just needed a very good general cleanup. It's really inspired us now to plan some projects for the rest of the yard and we will be calling Le. Le's crew did a very good job and well within the bounds we agreed to. They were very meticulous and I can't tell you everything they probably did to get this place looking great.

Le was quick to come over and provide an estimate, which was $4,500. I felt after the estimate I didn't have a very clear vision of what was going to happen in the backyard, but my boyfriend and I drew a plan and communicated to Le what we wanted. The work iteself was performed quickly. There was a little confusion over some wood borders for a planting area, which we didn't want, but this was quickly rectified. There was also a lack of communication initially about when the crew was coming over - the initial two days of grading the land I'm overall happy with the work however I'll probably move some of the plants around this weekend because they seem a little bit too close together - many of the plants I selected grow fairly large. The estimate was lower than actual cost, however Le moved some bamboo from my friend's house to my house which was new, unscoped work. Overall, I'm glad I hired Le because it would have taken all spring and summer for my boyfriend and I do to this work ourselves.

Great! Le went the extra mile to deal with unexpected issues and finished the whole job the day he was originally suppose to start!

I called and left a message just after 6pm on Friday. He called and left a return message the next morning (Saturday). We played phone tag a couple more times, and then scheduled the estimate for Tuesday. He was about 30 minutes early, but that was okay for me. We scheduled the yard work to begin the next day, and agreed they would start with the front yard, in case they got here early, which they did (about 30 mins.). A nice change from previous experience with other contractors! We still have a few dandelion "stumps" in our lawn, which we have asked them to pull up the next time they work on our lawn, and we have also asked them to do a little reseeding after that.
