They replaced my bad grass with new sod in my front yard. Andy was awesome! Responded promptly to my inquiry, gave thorough, knowledgeable advice, did the job as scheduled and for the agreed on price. No surprises and the quality of work was excellent.

I had Landscapes By Pompeo trim my approx 160' of Arbovite tree hedge. This is the first time I have used them. They were fantastic! They never responded to my inquiry. I do not understand why companies ignore people who want to hire them! Why get on Angie's List if you're not going to follow up on inquiries? I cannot rate their service, but I can rate their responsiveness and their professionalism and that was very poor.

It went great. After speaking with Andy and indicating I wanted a simple, easy care look to the front of my rental house, Andy came up with a plan that I liked. A Japeneese Maple, which was a focal point, had to be ordered, and after about two weeks, he called me that all the plants had arrived. An installation date was agreed to and Andy and his three man crew arrived on time and began work. Andy first determined that the sprinkler electrical line was the problem, and replaced it allowing the sprinkler valves to operate. After Andy placed all the plants to his liking, his crew then got to work digging them in. They even added some slow release fertilizer around the base of each plant, then raked they area clean of any debris. The front of the house now looks like a million bucks and with the sprinkler system now working, all plants should survive. And all done at a very reasonable price. The place has never looked better.

They are professional , knowledgeable , experienced and provided us with a lot of details about the job to be done and more. It was a learning experience for us. Everything went very well ; the work was performed in a timely manner and we could not be happier.

These guys are te best i have ever seen. The son (Andy) came out and was on time, he assessed the wor to be done gave me a fair price and stuck to it. The crew was fantastic they were on time and here the day/time they said they would be. When they left other than the work they did you wouldnt even have known they were here. They cleaned up after themselves and my yard looks fantastic. I would highly recommend this company to anyone in need of landscaping work.

We have the pleasure of living in a fantastic community with beautiful homes and lovely yards. Our yard is heavily landscaped and requires lots of maintenance that just about eats up every other week-end in the spring and summer. The yard is surrounded by a row of giant arbor vitae with a holly hedge, an ivy bed, 30-year-old rhododendrons and azaleas, sickly looking boxwood bushes, and medium-sized patches of grass that more realistically resemble a ground covering of moss and weeds. We cooked up a plan to remove all the bushes and grass replacing them with maintenance-free decorative rock thus improving the look of the yard and increasing the time we're able to enjoy it by reducing the amount of effort maintaining it. We chose to ask Landscapes by Pompeo to bid on our yard renovation after seeing the gorgeous lawn they installed at my dad's place. They transformed a large, overgrown blackberry bramble mess into a lush, green oasis that helped sell his house within one week. After meeting with Steve Pompeo to discuss the scope of work it was clear that he understood our vision for the yard and even offered insightful ideas that improved that vision. Steve offered ideas for a nicer variety of rock, a bed of flagstone on which to anchor some chairs, and even a ground covering of thyme in between the flagstones. I received an itemized written quote regarding the things we discussed and agreed upon. We scheduled a “start” time about a month or so out in the future because the team was finishing up a commercial job in the north end of town. We neglected to agree on a time frame within which to complete the job so I wasn’t sure just how long it would take. Steve left messages notifying us of when to expect activity (when sod would be cut and removed, when rock would be delivered, etc.) and, if he hadn’t, most days we would not have noticed that the team had come and gone; they were so neat and tidy. This was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. Our experience with contractors is to expect daily messes until the job is done but Landscapes by Pompeo swept up after themselves and removed all tools at the end of every day. We are truly pleased with the finished product, it exceeded our expectations. My husband and I used to spend all our summer evenings out on the back deck but we are so delighted with the new front yard that we now spend a couple evenings per week out front and can’t wait to show it off to our friends and family. I am absolutely sure it will be a selling feature of our house when we choose to move on and I will definitely call Landscapes by Pompeo for the rest of the yard that needs attention.

They are fabulous. My yard looks amazing. The work is meticulous. I think they are great.

I had a problem with drainage in the front lawn and called them about this. They tried to fix it a few times but never succeeded. I called them numerous times after that but started to get excuses. They had a disagreement among themselves as to how to fix it. It really needed to be redone. It has been 15 years but I never got them to take care of this. Follow up care was not good regarding this problem.

The Pompeo landscaping foreman came to give an estimate to correct the lumpy lawn and the inadequate irrigation system that had just been installed. The estimate was fair and just. The crew arrived at the designated time to begin and removed the sod from the entire backyard. Next they removed a portion of the fence and brought in a small backhoe to dig the necessary paths for the larger pipes needed for the irrigation system. Once the pipes were placed, the paths were filled in and sand was placed and leveled with a machine. Next a layer of good top soil was layed down and leveled again. Ten days elapsed and was necessary to allow the soil to settle and then the machine brought in again to level. New sod was then placed. The foreman always kept my Mother apprised of the progress, which was a welcome relief due to the previous landscaping experience. They continue to provide yard service.
