I was discouraged from hiring this company by another moving company that said legally movers need to charge by the weight of the truck, not charge per hour. I went with Kingdom Movers anyway because in 2006 the company I hired had charged by the hour and it went very well. Also because I felt confident from talking with Peter on the phone that he had my best interests in mind. He advised me (after I told him I had a lot of stuff including stuff in a nearby storage locker) to hire five men and two trucks, that way I would for sure get everything moved by 04/26/2022, the date I needed to be completely out of my condo. He quoted me $280 an hour, and I agreed to this amount. About a week prior to my move I contacted Peter and told him I was concerned I might not have everything packed. I work full time and I'm 60 years old. It's a lot for one person to pack. I had been packing for months and still I had two closets that needed to be packed, etc. Peter assured me they would bring packing materials and boxes and help me pack so I shouldn't worry. It might mean the job takes 8-9 hours, though, so they would plan on that for me. On the date of the move Peter himself showed up with the team and told me the fee would be $290 an hour, plus he would also be working and charging me an additional $40 per hour for his services. I was a bit put off by this, since none of this was agreed to ahead of time. But I really needed to be out of my condo by the end of that day, so I went along with it, thinking it would only mean it would take less time to move me and thus cost me less. About two hours in Peter took me aside and said it was simply too much to pack, and they wouldn't be able to help me after all. He told me they had a "big job" the next day and he didn't want his men to be too tired. So after about 5 hours of work they closed up the trucks and headed to my new home in Tacoma. It took maybe another hour and a half to unpack the trucks. And they were ready to be done, even though they had only worked about 7 hours, not the 8-9 hours I had hired them for. Also two men left after the five hours of packing up in Everett, so instead of six people (five of which I had hired ahead of time), I had three men to unpack the trucks because Peter had also left. They wanted me to pay for the job right after the trucks were unpacked and unfortunately I did so--which I will regret for the rest of my life. Later that day I came back to my condo and I was so overwhelmed by the amount of work left undone I burst into tears. I needed to be out that day and there was still so much there. It wasn't just unpacked items, either. Even packed bins and boxes and not been moved. My heavy mirror was still on the wall. I have a Kia Soul and I worked well into the night driving back and forth to Tacoma with car loads of stuff. Over the next three days I worked all by myself trying to clear out my condo. The people who were supposed to tear out the carpet the next day could not because I still had my stuff there. The cleaning crew could not clean because I still had my stuff there. Everything we had planned so that my buyer could move in on May 4th all fell apart because Kingdom Movers breached the contract they had with me and did not finish the job. In fact they abandoned the job leaving me with three days worth of work. My realtor finally took pity on me and had her friend contact me. Frank came with his very big pick up truck (his fee was $600--so I had to pay him $600 IN ADDITION to Kingdom Movers fee because Kingdom Movers left so much of the job unfinished) and it took five hours (and this was after days I had spent trying to move the rest of my stuff by myself) to organize my efforts so I could finally get the rooms cleared. I had to make a pile of stuff I wanted to move and stuff I was willing to dispose of because Frank only had so much room on his truck and didn't want to make two trips. So I ended up throwing a way a lot of stuff. I also suffered numbness in both hands and fingers as well as I am now not able to lift my right arm to the level of my shoulder--and as I write this is is five weeks after my move and I still have numb fingers. I contested the charge with my bank because I did not feel I should have to pay Kingdom Movers like they had completed the job when they had not. Sadly my bank could not keep the charge from my account because Kingdom Movers presented evidence that they did in fact do some work. So now I'm forced to pay their full charge even though I was forced to hurt myself trying to complete what they had walked away from/abandoned. Peter was horrible to me on the phone and in text messages when I tried to complain. His foreman Ken, who, during the time of my move had told me repeatedly that he disagreed with what was happening to me, has also now changed his tune and tells me they did a great job of helping me to move. I beg to differ. This company does not care about customer satisfaction. It does not care that it left a 60 year old woman with arthritis to try to do three days of work all by herself. What would have taken them another hour or two (the full time I had hired them to work for me), I was left having to do by myself and it took me three days and an added $600. I would never in a million years recommend this horrible company. I will rue the day I did not listen to the representative at "The Dudes" who tried to warn me against hiring them.

We knew from the start when Peter came out to give us an estimate that Kingdom Movers would get the job done right (and we interviewed several companies). Dan, Isaac, Riley, Angel and Ken arrived on time and quickly got to work. They were courteous, kind and professional and took excellent care with everything. The move took an entire day and they filled two large trucks. The guys insisted that everything must be in place exactly where we wanted it before they would leave and there was not one scratch or mishap with any of our belongings! After a long day we had everything in the new house and the topper was that the final amount came in lower than the estimate! We were 150% happy with Kingdom Movers and would highly recommend them to anyone.

After contacting several companies for the service as it was a last minute job I was able to get Kingdom Movers. They came at 10am and were right on-time. They called me before showing up to confirm that they're on their way. Their truck was immaculate. Their whole truck had all supplies needed for the move. They were able to get everything in their truck within 50 minutes. They were professional and friendly. They unloaded everything within 30 minutes. They said they can put everything where I wanted so I didn't have to put anything away myself. They saved us and did it all in a one-day notice. No messing around or misunderstanding. We couldn't be happier. We highly recommend them.
