Excellent. Kemly cleanly installed the new panel and wires using the perimeter of the ceiling to run wires instead of cutting horizontally across joists as previous electricians had done. We were very pleased with their work.

The job took longer than they anticipated because of challenges they ran into removing the knob and tube. The quality of their work was good. They did not provide the lowest bid but felt I went with the right firm.

Beyond polite -- both funny and always gracious and eager to please. When he was running late because of the job before me, he called to let me know, and then called again to alert me he was on his way. I'm a perfectionist and he exceeded even my tough expectations. The chain (that we provided) didn't match the light, so I mixed up some paint and he even painted it for me so it would match. Although they aren't cheap, I felt you get what you pay for, and I got the best.

Called to schedule estimate and was scheduled immediately. Person showed up on time, thoroughly reviewed house, and warned me that he would be leaving for vacation the next day but I would have the estimate after he got back in a week. Never received estimate. Called once to follow-up, and no response. Moved on with other estimates...I'm not going to nag someone so that I can give them my money.

They came out to give a bid, looked at everything that I needed and was very friendly and informative. I never did receive the bid. I called about 1 1/2 weeks later to inquire and was told that the guy had gone on vacation but they would have him submit as soon as he returned. I called again after that and I still have not received a bid. I have chosen someone else to do the work.

They were great. I kept adding things when I thought of them, and they would just take it in stride and fill me out a contract to sign.

The whole experience was positive. The work was timely, within budget and with very little mess which was an added benefit. We recommend them highly.

Electrician arrived as scheduled and worked efficiently on the two tasks. Courteous and professional. Hard to judge price. Was $150 for first hour plus lower rate thereafter. Perhaps this is the going rate?

After reading on the glowing reviews about Kemly Electric on the List, I called Kemly Electric for a bid on a new service panel. Brian Kemley promptly came out and submitted a bid two days later. His bid came in quite a bit below two of the other electric companies we called. Brian was very pleasant explaining the details of the bid and job. They fit our job in the following day after acceptance of their bid. Sal and Gollub(sp?) came out on time, worked the entire time on the premises, and took less than an hour for lunch. They were pleasant, polite, and cleaned up the areas they worked in. I plan on using them again and wouldn't hesitate recommending Kemly to others. It's so nice to have a company come out to your house that not only is reasonable but also showed pride in their work.

Service was prompt and very friendly. Estimate was considerably lower than competitor. Work done was excellent and was completed in a timely manner. Overall, very highly recommended.

Two guys arrived and examined the job and got to work. Both very courteous and were careful as we have hardwood floors. They took measurements, measured again, then did the work. They were there about 40 minutes, and though it was a small job, did a professional job.

Polite, on time, quote price beforehand and stuck to it; efficient.

They were fast, on time, professional and fair in price.

Excellent. I requested service via the web, and they called the next day and came the same day when they said they would. We asked for an estimate of some other work, and the technician told us frankly that he wouldn't recommend it as it would be expensive for such a small convenience. We appreciated that.

Overall I was very pleased. They were professional and worked hard, and the finished work is well done. They rounded down the time increments (in my favor) which I appreciated. They were about 25 minutes late but called after 15 minutes, and it turned out that their dispatch had written down the wrong street address. I didn't shop around much for price, but their hourly rate was fair.

Larry was the greatest, never told me it couldn't be done. Work was perfect. Couldn't be happier. Price was fair for 6.5 hours of work.

Someone came out to my home shortly after I called for an estimate. They appeared to be very thorough and e-mailed me a quote within a few days. I e-mailed them back with some follow up questions and did not hear back. I followed up a week later and got an embarrassed apology and a promise to respond to my questions immediately. It's been two months and I have yet to hear back from them, I ended up using another electrician who was much more responsive.

The lead electrician and 'second electrician' were fantastic. We were a little afraid that we wouldn't give specific enough direction (especially with the placement of the can lights), but they listened and understood our needs right away. They showed up on time and got to work immediately--I don't think they even took a break! They stayed for 8 hours and finished everything. We could not have been happier with the results--or the professionalism of the team. After they left, we noticed that an outlet wasn't working. The lead electrician came back within a couple days to fix it. While he was there, I asked if he had time to install an outside light--he did! I would definitely recommend Kemly.

I turned to Angie's List because of past frustrations with electricians. This was a great experience. The electrician showed up early, and did a great job. He was extremely polite, and willing to answer questions, always important for an owner that does some of his own work from time to time. The company was clear what the job was going to cost up front so the amount was expected. The electrician seemed to work very quickly. I'll use Kemly in the future.

Excellent in every way. Although the problem with the front porch socket had cleared itself, the cause of the "shorting out" of the lawn lighting is a bit more complicated, and needs further time/money. I will follow up at a later time.

After receiving the bid and asking a few questions regarding the bid, we requested a slight change to the scope of work that would have been approximately $400 less by Kemly's own estimate. However, after numerous phone calls, voicemail, and emails we NEVER received a response to our request for the revised bid in writing. Apparently Kemly was unwilling to work with us to perform the changed scope of work, but didn't have the courtesy to call us back to tell us that. We were extremely frustrated and disappointed as we had a very good initial experience with the company. The non-responsiveness was completely unacceptable. Estimated cost was $1,800.

Plumber was on time & very polite, but the cost was a bit more than I expected. He explained that it was a bit tough drilling through the bricks, but it turned out to be almost five hours of work which I wasn't quite prepared for. I think next time, I would be more insistent on a clearer view or the costs up front, if possible.

I CALLED AT 2:00 PM ON A TUESDAY TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. THE SCHEDULER WAS ON ANOTHER CALL, AND THE RECEPTIONIST TOLD ME TO LEAVE A VOICEMAIL AND ASSURED THAT MY CALL WOULD BE RETURNED PROMPTLY. BY 4:15 PM I HAD STILL NOT BEEN CALLED BACK. I CALLED BACK AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE SCHEDULER HAD GONE HOME FOR THE DAY, BUT WOULD PROBABLY CALL ME BACK TOMORROW. I WAS CALLED BACK THE NEXT AFTERNOON AND SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT FOR THURSDAY. I WAS TOLD AN ESTIMATOR WOULD SHOW UP BETWEEN 8 AM AND NOON. I TOOK THE DAY OFF WORK AND WAITED FOR THE ESTIMATOR, THEN GOT A CALL AT 11:00 AM THAT AN EMERGENCY HAD COME UP AND I WOULD HAVE TO RESCHEDULE!! TIME FOR ME, LIKE ANYONE, IS MONEY. I SHOULD SEND THESE GUYS A BILL FOR THE MONEY I LOST AT WORK.

ELECTRICIAN LARRY WAS A REAL PROFESSIONAL. HE WAS PERSONABLE AND FRIENDLY. HE ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS NO MATTER HOW IGNORANT THEY WERE. I WOULD HAVE THEM BACK WHENEVER I NEED ELECTRICAL WORK DONE.
