Description of Work: I live in a high rise apartment in downtown Seattle. Karl had to fix large cracks in the drywall,reattach drywall that had come away from the wall, remove damaged drywall and replace it with new material, and replace some baseboards. He then started painting my place which hadn't been painted in 30 years . All of this had to be done under strict condo rules. Work had to be done from 8:30-4:30 only. He was always on time and was extremely neat while working. He cleaned up before he left everyday. I was very pleased with his work and I recommend him for any painting job. Susan Murphy

 + -1 moreHe showed up right when he said he would show up and worked hard. He gave me a nice itemized bill at the end of it all, which was nice. He was just a very pleasant guy. The quality of his work was top-notch. The roof looks fantastic. What really impressed me is I have a little dormer on the cottage, and he lined up the shingles perfectly, and it looks really nice.
Description of Work: I had him come out three or four different times for two different jobs. I was only going to have him do the one job, but he did such a good job with the first, that I decided to go with him for the second. The main thing I was hiring him for was putting a shingle roof on a cottage I'm building. He did such a super job that I had him come back out to do the siding.

gutter cleaning, leaf removal, interior painters, roof cleaning
 + 2 moreMr. Jacobsen did an excellent job at my home. His painting and patching skills are very professional. He was a perfectionist with his painting and very careful to not make a mess. He cleaned up everything beautifully at the end of the job. He made the roof and the gutters look amazingly clean. He researched and purchased the doors and locks and installed them perfectly. His estimates on the materials and labor were honest and accurate. I would highly recommend Mr. Jacobsen for any house projects. He is motivated and pro-active in his work. He problem solves well. He is a quintessential handyman--he can do and fix most anything.
Description of Work: I sold my house and needed to get it ready for a showing. I hired Mr. Jacobsen to do several projects to get the house in shape. He patched up and painted all the interior walls, patched and painted some spots on the exterior walls, cleaned the moss off of the roof and cleaned out the gutters, did some minor roof repairs, raked leaves in the yard and driveway, replaced a couple of doors in the house and replaced locks on several doors.

 + -1 moreI have a small enclosed outdoor structure at my vacation home that is used for entertaining, eating, and sleeping. The roof was 20 years old and covered in moss, so I hired Karl Jacobsen to put on a new roof. He ordered all the materials and gave me an accurate estimate ahead of time for the cost of the materials. He also gave me a very accurate bid on the labor for the job. He worked for 3 solid days from dawn to dusk, and did a beautiful, professional job on the roof. He disposed of the old roofing materials and cleaned up the site perfectly when he was finished. I could not have been more satisfied with the job. He is very polite, easy to work with and professional. I would highly recommend Mr. Jacobsen for any roofing job.
