Description of Work: I contacted the provider for a quote to reupholster an old sofa. The response for very quick with a detailed quote and options. The price wasn't the lowest but was very reasonable within a certain quality range. (The lower quotes tended to be independent/Craigslist type services.) I decided not to reupholster the sofa so I did not have the service performed.

 + -1 moreIt was great. They came out & took measurements to be sure they would fit perfectly. They talked with me about how I intended to use the cushions with the two different colored sides & offered advice on making that work. Pam helped me pick durable fabrics- explaining what was more likely to fade, what washed well, etc.
Description of Work: I had Joslin upholstery create two custom sized bench cushions for a large corner banquette in my kitchen. They have removable covering with different coordinating colors on each side of the cushion & piping. I also had 8 pillows made.

 + 0 moreThey are the best. We receive all kinds of compliments on it now and we are very happy with it 5 years later. At the time I did research for this project by calling several places, I found Joslin was no more expensive than anyone else. I m sure I could have gotten it done cheaper, but they do such great work.
Description of Work: I have a couch that was really old and beat up; the whole couch had to be rebuilt. They did this for me. They came and picked it up and brought it back a couple of weeks later.

 + -1 moreJoslin's does wonderful work. Every piece I have had done looks great and is done very professionally. Pam Joslin handles the fabric and interior design aspect of the business. She has been very helpful in advising me on fabrics and trims. Joslin's has a large selection of fabrics and trims to choose from in all price ranges. My first experience with Joslin's occurred a few years back with my two antique chairs. I had found two large tapestries that I wanted cut to fit the chairs. I had gone to another upholstering business and was told it could not be done. As I had my heart set on the tapestry fabric, I met with Jack Joslin and was told he could cut and fit the tapestries to my chairs. I was thrilled and the outcome was beautiful. Besides the quality work, Pam, Jack and all their employees are a pleasure to work with.
Description of Work: I have recently had bar stools, kitchen chairs and dining room chairs reupholstered. Three living room chairs and a kitchen valence treatment are in progress. In the past I have had two antique french-style chairs redone.

 + -1 moreChair and ottoman were picked up and completed as promised. VERY expensive but excellent workmanship. I would probably try to find a new product rather than reupholstering next time. Only as last resort would I go this route again.
