+ 1 moreNot well. The bid was good and the estimated number of weeks until they could begin the job worked for me. I paid half the estimated cost and they began work close to the time estimated. They picked up tile I'd chosen although once the work began I made 3 trips to the wholesaler to pick up additional tile. Inconvenient, but not a problem. The work started one day, just setting the tile for the bath step, and to remove and haul away the fireplace tile. Two more days were used to finish setting tile in the bathroom and grouting. In the living room Jerry finished the setting and grouting the fireplace. I was not home when he finished and left. I found the keys where we had agreed he would leave them. It was a couple days later I saw the work that had been done. I entered the living room and from 18' away, I could see the tiles were not flat, or flush. The tiles are lined up horizontally and vertically but edges and corners aren't flush. I called and left a message for Jerry.
Description of Work: In a bathroom, tile one step from the floor to a standard 58" tub. In the living room, replace the floor (apprx.6' x 18") and wall (approx.56" x 49" less fire box 40" x 32") tile surrounding the fireplace. I turned on the garbage disposal, motor ran but blades didn't turn. I checked the tub and really don't know if the slow drain was caused by Jerry or not. I feared how they'd disposed of materials ($186 to a plumber), didn't like not being told they'd stalled the disposal(did they think I wouldn't notice?), and worried what else done that I didn't yet see. Kitchen counters dusted w/glass-sharp chards. Grout both rooms shallow,uneven.Dried grout on door knobs, bath floor, on kitchen cabinet faces. The workmanship was so very poor,it looked beginner had done it.I left 2nd message.Few days later he returned my call,said he'd noticed the tub ran slowly.Also said right side of the firebox stuck out, couldn't "wrap" the tile around it. Said he'd fix own expense.I called back, said didn't w

Description of Work: Jerry scheduled a bid to do some tile work at my house. He called ahead of time, couldn't make it, rescheduled. He didn't show for the rescheduled appointment, didn't call to cancel. I called him to let him know that I missed his visit, check if we had a misunderstanding. I also let him know that if I didn't hear from him, I would assume that he didn't have time to work with me, and I would find some who did have the time, and who would show up when they said they would. I never heard back.
