Whether the job is interior or exterior, John is a professional who takes pride in doing a good job. Pricing is very reasonable.
Description of Work: John is a pro! I've had him paint both interior and exterior at my home and he does a terrific job. He had me buy the paint and then his payment is strictly for the work. He's not the fastest; takes time to do the job right. When minor repairs were in order on the exterior, he pointed them out and made recommendations for how to proceed. He has the skills to do minor repairs. He cleans up after himself. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed; John is a darn good painter!

I collected bids from 5 painting companies for my 2900 sq. ft. rambler. John's bid price was 2nd to lowest. As John painted the house, incidental expenses came up (as they always will). John stuck to his bid price. John had included in his bid for using latex paint. I learned later that other bidders, who came in higher, where going to use latex *stain*. The stain has approx. a 6 year lifespan in the Pacific NW climate. Latex paint will last much longer, and costs about the same price as the stain does! As John works alone, the job took longer than the other bidders claimed their work would take. However, John also primed (two or more times) and caulked every surface that was to be painted. He was very thorough on making sure everything was right before paint was applied, and put on a minimum of two coats; he put three coats on our South-facing walls that take such a beating in the summer. Also he made it a point to back-brush (not back-roll) the paint, which makes for a very strong bond between the surface and the paint. I was very impressed with that level of attention to detail. When John was finished the job site was left very clean. John even cleaned our windows (and we have many!) to say Thanks for letting him paint our home. John did high-quality work, for a very reasonable price.
Description of Work: The entire exterior of our 2900 sq. ft. rambler was primed, caulked, and painted. Latex paint was used throughout.
