+ -1 moreJosh came out for an hour to talk through how moving the staircase might go. He was polite, professional, prompt. I paid him for an hour of his time ($125). I ended up using a different structural engineer because Josh was booked 13 weeks out and I wanted to get my permit more quickly than that. His overall quote for the work was around $1000, which seemed very reasonable to me. He was patient when answer all of my MANY questions. He was very understanding and polite when I told him I would be using a different engineer.
Description of Work: Josh gave me an estimate for structural engineering work on my home remodel to move my central staircase.

+ -1 moreIt went great, and he even gave me a certified inspection report when done. Very professional, knowledgeable, and reasonable.
Description of Work: Josh came out to inspect the damage to my garage, I wanted an expert to assess whether the damage was structural or cosmetic rather than relying solely on the insurance company.

Description of Work: Designed a new footing for a an old house that wasn't structurally sound. Designed replacement elevated decks on triplex.
