I called Home Net based on the reviews on Angies list, as I thought they would be able to help with some home computer issues. Someone answered the phone after about 6 rings, I told her my issues, and she said some one would call me back within a half hour. No return call. So, I can only say that my first impression is not good and I doubt that return call is ever coming. Even if the job is not applicable, the courtesy of a return call would have been nice.

My laptop's monitor stopped working after I dropped it. The laptop itself was fine, but the built-in display was shot. After a less-than-successful experience with another local company, I somewhat hesitantly took it into HomeNet. Richard (owner and technician) cut the Gordian Knot and quickly confirmed the display panel was dead. He ordered and installed a new one and I now have a laptop with a working built-in display. Throughout the process he kept me apprised of what he intended to do and what it would cost. He focused on fixing the problem at hand but -- as we had some discussion about it before I handed him my laptop -- he also understood and made clear to me that dropping a laptop could cause various sorts of internal damage: i.e., it was probably the display inverter that was damaged, but it could be something else. However, he didn't use that as an excuse to recommend various other unneeded repairs: he fixed what was broken and gave me back my laptop in better condition than I'd given it to him. I'd definitely entrust HomeNet with further computer repairs.
Description of Work: Diagnose and repair a laptop with a broken built-in display.
