 + -1 moreHerzog sent someone out who helped me figure out the details with measurements; then I was called with an an estimate and sent a contract. Herzog was very professional. There were problems with the installation of both pieces of glass. One had to be re-shaped and the other had to be completely remade out of tempered glass because of the difficulty and danger of installation. Herzog stuck to their original quote through all these modifications. I got my glass; it looks beautiful, and I am a happy camper. I could not recommend them highly enough.
Description of Work: I had a large built-in work table and a very long counter top built in to a studio/ hobby room. The cabinetry was custom with painted wood tops and I wanted 1/4" glass fitted to the tops to protect the wood. I called many glass companies. None would even consider doing this work because of the size of the glass. One piece was 143 inches long x 32 inches wide, and built into the end of the room, with walls on three sides.

 + -1 moreThere are many other glass companies that are much closer to my rental property and I could have used them. Never again.
Description of Work: These people charge $89.50 for travel time. My workers were at my rental house and waited for the Herzog service man to come. My workers said the Herzog service man was at my house for 1.25 hours, so Herzog charged me for 1.75 hours for travel time. Had I known that I would have to pay this I would never have used them. I asked the Herzog dispatcher to ask the guy to come in the mid morning and instead he came at a different time. I have lived in Seattle for 30 years and I have several rental properties. I work with all types of companies and this is the VERY WORST COMPANY WITH WHOM I HAVE EVER DEALT. I told one of Herzog's owners about my experience and he said that "we have to pay our workers the same wage whether they are sitting in their car or whether they are on the job". I did not realize that companies like this could stay in business, unless of course, other people are too stupid and willing to be ripped off.

 + -1 moreI talked to several companies about cutting some heavy broken glass into usable lengths. Most said it was too small of a job. Herzog told me to come down. They put my order in immediately and did the job in less than 1/2 hour, while I waited. GREAT SERVICE, GREAT JOB.

 + -1 moreI HAVE HAD GLASS WORK DONE HERE BEFORE AND AS USUAL THE WORK WAS METICULOUS. THEY ARE VERY POLITE, COURTEOUS AND THE WORK WAS WELL DONE. I HAVE GONE BACK TWICE TO HAVE MORE GLASS REPLACED ON EXISTING WINDOWS.
Description of Work: THEY REPLACED THE DOUBLE PANE GLASS ON A DOUBLE HUNG WINDOW IN OUR LIVING ROOM.
