Appraisal was thorough and completely satisfactory once completed. Scheduling, however, was difficult, as well as getting clarity on when the appraisal would be completed. Since we were on a deadline, this was tough. But it all worked out well in the end.

I have tried for two weeks to contact them to get an appraisal of my home because they came so highly recommended by Angie's List. Using their own "Contact Us" form on their site I placed 2 requests for contact. If their form is broke, they really need to speak with their web developer. I am very displeased with their lack of response. Why didn't I call? After 2 times, using their own form, I feel affronted and refuse to take any more of my time trying to get them to perform a service.

We are currently undergoing an extensive remodel of, and addition to, our house (self-constructed). Given the current housing market and interest rates, we have been wanting to refinance as soon as possible. However, we also did not want to start the process of refinancing only to have an appraiser and lender tell us an extensive punch list needed to be completed prior to going through on the refi. Mr. Hasson provided his recommendations on which elements would be most important to complete from the appraiser's perspective. He gave us practical advice on specific tasks. He also gave us advice on a few more global details - i.e. how unfinished construction is viewed and handled by appraisers and lenders. Our house is unique in that it is built to PassivHaus standards - i.e. super-insulated, air-tight construction, triple pane windows, solar panels, etc. He recommended that we look into specific lenders and request an appraiser who has experience in green building (to properly assess the added value unique to our house). We found him to be very accessible and professional, as other commenters have noted. Thanks, Joey!

Mr. Hasson was easy to reach and schedule an appointment with. He was punctual, polite, and did a thorough job of evaluating the house. He got the report to me in the promised time frame. It was detailed and complete.

I reached out to Joey after reading the positive reviews here on Angie's list. I am currently living out of state from the home we are interested in purchasing so all correspondence were electronic. He was responsive and, when necessary, communicated directly with our broker, who also reported back on his professionalism. We received the report by end of day following the appraisal. I am no expert here but Joey seems to have conducted a thorough appraisal. I would hire him again. I do have to admit something rather embarrassing, and its worth mentioning in case anyone else is thinking the same thought. In reading the reviews, I was, at first, put of by the fact that Mr. Hasson was referred to, and refers to himself, as Joey. I was concerned that perhaps someone so casual might not be professional. I was wrong. My apologies to him for the judgment.

It went great, Joey was very punctual, professional, and timely. I highly recommend his services.

Called about an appraisal prior to bank sending their person for a re-finance appraisal. Hasson spent a little bit of time on the phone with me and after educating me on the process and the general aspects to be covered we agreed it would be best if I made some repaires and improvements BEFORE I had them appraise the property. Then once appraised he they would be able to give me a good idea of the general things to handle prior to the bank appraisal. This saved me a bunch of time and likely money. These are the people whos appraisal I will want for any investment property before I buy. I will be following through and using Hasson in the very near future.

After seeing Joe's great rating on here, I went to his website to do more research. He lists his appraisal price for a single family home residence as $350. There are no caveats for instances where that price would be higher. It just states a flat price of $350. I emailed him to request an appraisal, and he was quick to respond. Once I gave him the address, he then quoted me a price of $450. I replied that his website states it is $350 for a single family residence (which we have). Joe's response was that it was due to my square footage (2,700) and 'large lot size' (1/2 and acre). He also stated we were outside his typical area, which is contradictory for two reasons. One, he said he was just out in my area recently. And two, his website states he services King County...which we are in. I did not appreciate the sudden change of price. It came across poorly and unprofessionally. Will not use his services due to that.

Working with Joey on my appraisal was great. He was quick to respond, friendly on the phone, and turned around the appraisal a day earlier than he initially said. Everything was done to the highest quality and the cost was very reasonable. He was also very helpful and available for followup questions relating to both the report he generated and general real estate market questions. I would like to have paid with a credit card (even for an extra fee), but that's a minor detail. If I need an appraiser in the future, I will be sure to call Joey again.

I had found it difficult to find an appraiser willing to do a private appraisal, many will work only with banks. Joe responded to my email request within a few hours, he was very profesional, knowledgeable and friendly. We set-up a time for the appraisal within days. He showed up on time, with the tools he needed to do the job. The house was in poor shape, and I was a little embarrased, but he was very professional and assured me that some of the houses he had appraised were in the same condition. Joe had a very thorough appraisal / valuation back to me in TWO days, very fast turnaround. Cost-wise, he charged quite a bit less than other appraisers I found. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Joe again, my highest praise goes out to him!

Excellent. Joey was very responsive to my initial request. Once he understood my needs, he offered a reasonable alternative to a full on site appraisal which was also half the price of a full appraisal. The 'desktop' appraisal was extensive, well documented and served its purpose perfectly.

I was very impressed with Mr. Hasson - he arrived exactly on time and was very professional and efficient in conducting the inspection (which involved pictures, measuring, etc.). All reports were received a day earlier than he had indicated and were complete and professional. I was totally pleased with the entire experience and I will definitely use Hasson Appraisal Services if I ever have need for another real estate appraisal.

Very well. I am disappointed at the current value of my home but that is due to the down market and has nothing to do with this company's service. I appreciated the fact that I could have the work down so quickly and receive the final documents via email vs waiting for the mailman. The only thing that I would have liked if possible would have been the ability to pay with my VISA. I had to drop a check in the mail and even PayPal would have been better for me since I rarely have to write a physical check anymore.

Mr. Hasson was punctual, prepared and professional. He did his own tour of the house measuring and taking photos. He sent me a color copy of the appraisal in the mail as well as a .pdf file for my records. I was happy with the report and the comparables that he used.
