How did it go? So far, BADLY ... 1) On 02/27 I scheduled a cleaner for a 3 hour move-out clean on 02/28 and paid for the booking (money was removed from my account, despite being told they were only taking my billing information for billing AFTER the service had been performed). 2) On 02/28, the cleaning "pro" A) never arrived, B) never notified me that they would be either late or absent, C) and handy.com never notified me that their "pro" wasn't coming, and D) they took my money anyway, even though no service had been provided. 3) When it became clear that no one was coming on 02/28, I attempted to contact handy.com by phone, but they refused to talk to me by phone and insisted I interact with them via email), SO, I then emailed handy.com and explained what had happened. 4) Handy.com's customer experience rep promised A) I'd get a free-replacement cleaning (refund), and B) that all I had to do was provide the days/times, via email, that would work best for me and they would "take care of the rest". 5) Now, 4 days later, A) handy.com still has my money, B) my house still needs cleaning, C) I have received NO rescheduled cleaning booking in the handy.com app OR information about such an appointment / booking by email.

We were scheduled to have our house cleaned today - the day before having a houseful of friends and family for the Thanksgiving holiday, but the cleaner cancelled at the very last minute. Handy didn't bother to notify us of the cancellation until after I'd contacted them. Had I not gone to check who was scheduled to clean and found that the person assigned had disappeared, we wouldn't have known until no one showed up. Efforts to communicate with Handy (which only communicates via email) were ineffective to say the least. They offered a $10 credit and rescheduled the cleaning -- without checking first -- to a day next week. Not acceptable. My husband and I both work, and cannot afford to take time off, so will be up a good part of the night cleaning. Even more disappointing is the fact that we are quite new Handy customers and this is the second time it's happened. A 50% no-show rate is beyond unprofessional.
