Charlie arrived on time and was professional in every aspect. He took off his shoes respecting our custom and took the time to discuss his findings in detail. Charlie also gave us a quick short email summary the next day as requested since we were on a tight schedule and leaving town and needed the specifics right away. This quick summary gave me a chance to schedule providers in between travel. I highly recommend Charlie to anyone interested in getting the best energy audit one can schedule and get help in making the right choices for next steps. I chose Charlie specifically as he is more likely to provide an objective perspective as he does not also provide services that is being recommended.A+

Charlie was recently at our house for our audit - went really well. He was on time, very professional, and thorough. We got our reports later that day. I was home but left him alone for much of the almost 3 hours he was over, shadowing him for the blower door test to see where my house was leaking air. Pretty shocking. His report helpfully calls out all issue he finds as well as prioritized recommendations to address his findings. We knew some of the things he'd found, but there were some surprises. We're going to start on some of the items before this winter and will have him back to repeat a blower door test and verify the contractors work.

Our house has problems with heating so we've been trying to figure out what to do about it for a while. An energy audit seemed like a good idea to get the big picture. After we decided this, we found that PSE gives an instant rebate so it made the whole thing very affordable. Charlie came out and spent several hours going through the whole house to find out how we could make it more energy efficient. I was not there but my husband was so I'm not sure of all that went on. However the report we received was wonderful. It had photos of each issue and a full description of the problem and how to handle. It was a long report so it'll take us a while to implement but we've already started with having the furnace worked on. Part of the PSE service was that Charlie replaced any incandenscent bulbs with flourescent so we've already seen a cost savings in our electric bill. When we replace the roof we are having more insulation blown in so I expect to see cost savings on our gas bill next winter.

He went through the entire house and sealed it off. He had an infra-red machine, and he went through the whole house to see if he can find all the leaks in the house. He recorded whatever was leaking. He went up into the attic, all through the house and under the house, and found all the holes that were needed to be sealed or repaired. That is how he knew to call someone to insulate under our house. He also checked the efficiency of the furnace. After we hired people to come out and do the work that he recommended, he came out and inspected everything again to be sure that everything was done correctly. It was constantly being advertised that windows were needed to be replaced but he gave us good advice that we didn?t need to get our windows replaced, but instead have the insulation done and have all the holes filled, which was less expensive and which saved a great deal more energy. He probably saved us a fortune with that advice. He was professional and really involved in the work that he was doing. He did a lot of work for the price. He was very responsive and detailed. He went through all our utility bills and was able to detail where the money was going, which was very helpful.
