They fixed the problem with my under kitchen sink plumbing problem but their prices are ridiculous. If I wasn't in such dire need of having this fixed right away I would NEVER have used this company. It took him under an hour to fix and he used most of the parts that were already there just had to change out a couple (these parts are very cheap, I know this because I priced them at Home Depot), and he charged me $273.13 oh but don't worry they gave me the Angies List coupon so I saved a whole $25.00. I did not notice until just now that their pricing is on their Angies List page but I never would have thought this project would take an hour to fix either. I would suggest only using this company if they are the only ones you can get out to your house and it is an emergency situation.

Fox was very responsive, getting to our problem within a very short time of our call. The sump pump was removed and new sump pump had to be picked up by worker. He got the new one and installed and everything has worked great. Fox was very helpful and responsive. We had had work done before on this same problem and felt this was a reasonable price for the work that had to be done.

We did not receive any response from this contractor on our bid info.

All went pretty well. Crews worked hard and efficiently. Cleaned up the mess with minimum distruption. Sprinkler system stop-check valve was replaced due to damage by another company, but the outflow pipe was contaminated with dirt which blocked a sprinkler system valve which stuck in the open position. This required an immediate repair as the sprinkler system would not turn off. My problem is that Fox also said I needed a city inspection for the stop-check valve. This is 100% correct. I assumed they would do it themselves or find a certified contractor to do the work and pass-through the price--even with a fair profit. They did--and added about $85 to the price they were charged. The average price for stop-valve inspection is about $45 based on a formal survey I did of a dozen companies. Fox charged $130 for this inspection--on top of the nearly $4000 for the other work. At this point I'm no longer certain that this was a fair price for the main-line work. Given we had no water, I didn't have the luxury of taking my time to get multiple estimates or references for the waterline work. I wish I had. My issue is with overcharging for a service they simply contracted for. I was informed that they hired "Batman Testing" to do the work. I have also learned that they charge consumers $45--an $85 difference. While I don't know, I expect Batman does not charge them a consumer rate. Adding 10% ($5) as a finder's fee to the contractor's price (which I expect is lower for Fox) is fair. Adding $85 is not. I contacted Chad Lindly at Fox and he seemed appologetic but said that this is a price he charges "everyone". He said he has to charge this to stay in business. He did offer to send me a rebate check by return mail. I waited 10 days for the check. It never came. I called and he did not return my call. We're done. Update: 9/6/12 I got a call this morning from Fox plumbing. They informed me that the promised check had been mailed September 4th. It arrived today in the amount of $65. I guess this is better than nothing. The $65 they agreed to charge me matches the price charged by the most most expensive contractor on the list of tweleve contractors that responded to my request for a quote. I think this is fair since they handled the entire process.

Service was great - he arrived promptly, wore covers over his shoes which I appreciated, and did great work that was clearly explained and the options were presented without any pressure.

They are prompt, courteous, respectful of your property, they have reasonable, and competitive pricing, and do a very clean job very well. Most importantly, I've not had any issues after they've left my home.

The plumber showed up an hour early. He gave an estimate on par with 2 other estimates I had received, but said price was ultimately dependent on time and materials. He preceded to do work. Both of his drills were broken. He spent a half hour trying to fix them. He ultimately used my drill, and the job took about an hour longer than it should have, and he included this time in his final cost. He took no time to get measurements right, the pipes got out of alignment and he had to drill another hole because of it. I was called afterwards and asked if there was anything that could be done to improve the situation, which I appreciate. There have not been any problems with the work that was completed and no further work needed to be done. They did refund part of my initial payment because I wasn't completely satisfied and I have updated my review.

Had a leak from my refrigerator ice-maker feed line which I discovered late on Sunday night. I called the 24-hour line and got a response within 30 minutes. After a consultation on the phone, we decided that the problem wasn't urgent enough for an overnight callout and planned to have someone stop by in the morning. Mike was out here by about 9am, isolated the problem in minutes and had us fixed in no time. He also repaired a broken valve under our sink at my request (had the parts with him and the fix took just another 15 minutes or so). All-in-all, Mike was here for about an hour. He's friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. Prices are a bit higher than others, but the quality of work and great staff make that a minor thing. Couldn't have had a better experience considering how stressed I was about the leak and the damage it did to my hardwood floor. This is a top-notch company and I highly recommend Fox Plumbing & Heating!

Arrived on time checked out job, went to get parts, came back and moved the pipe. Bill was wrong at first but quickly corrected by office.

I was scheduled at 3:30pm for the job. Instead, the plumber showed up at 11am and I was not informed until he showed up. Luckly, my tenant was there and let him in. Because I was not there, I had no way to verify what he said. His pricing was not clear to me. I was able to resolve this issue with the service manager. He responded quickly and effectively.

I liked them. They came in with a good bid. They did the work and they were very conscientious. I have used them twice and I would use them again. They were prompt.

Overall, I'd say Fox Plumbing is an A-1 outfit. They know what they're doing, are responsive and really seem to care about their customers. I wish all the companies I've dealt with were as good as these guys!

Arrived on time. Quote was fair. Did work as promised and when my kitchen sink developed a leak I asked if he could take a look since he was working in the back unit and he came in and fixed it for me. They are very easy to work with and nice people. Will definitely use them again for future projects.

It was OK. Our plumbing issue was not really resolved.

They came out promptly, as scheduled. The plumber examined the problem, contacted his office, and gave us a verbal quote for a sump pump installation, because the lightweight corrugated drain tile could not be cleaned out.. There was no charge for the estimate.They recommended connecting the sump pump discharge right into our sanitary sewer, which appears to violate King County code. The quote for installing the sump pump was over twice the bid we ended up accepting from another plumber.

I did not go with this company because with my experience, I believe what they quoted me was too high. Additional Info: The experience with overall very negative. Estimate they gave me was $900 and the actual unit cost $270, this was just one item. I think that say it all. I talked after the fact and he said what I was quoted were not proper rate and apologized.

I found out that they do not service the area we live in. If you live in NE Tacoma (we live 10 minutes from Costco in Federal Way) then call someone else. "we don't serve Tacoma" is what I was told. that makes sense but when I entered the address in Angie's list, their company shouldn't come up as an option.

I had used them years ago to fix a logged drain and I have used them ever since. They have also put in a hot water tap in my sink. They have done a variety of things. Always great and prompt. Always been very reasonable and honest. If they can't do it they will recommend someone who will and they don't charge me. They do an outstanding job.

They schedule project over the phone, call an hour before they showed up. They were on-time, did what they said they would do. Clean-up and stayed efficient. I will use them again in the future and I would recommend them.

We should have asked him to put a filter on the new hose so that we could capture the sediment that got into the pipe when it was installed.

Fox's bid was the most detailed on what they would and would not do, and priced the best for the work proposed. Randy was out to bid the job within 24 hours, arrived within 10 minutes of his scheduled time, and spent an hour looking things over and talking expectations. We called the next business day to accept their bid, and they had us scheduled for a day the same week. We knew to remove 3 plants so they had room to work. The job took 4 hours, as expected, and there is minimal evidence they were even here. Jose used tarps to place any dirt on, and restored the flower beds to pre-existing condition. All we have to do is put our plants back in. These guys were a joy to do business with and we are extremely pleased.

Chad L. came out the day after we called, arrived promptly, quickly diagnosed where the leak under the sink was coming from and made some recommendations for us. We had other plumbing questions and he shared that he'd spend some time 'after the clock stopped on the job' to answer them for us. We might even end up w/ some new toilets in the house from Fox later on! Great job Chad!
