They were okay. They were a little bit pricey but plumbing is pretty expensive so I think they are of a reasonable value.

Excellent. We had a mix up with scheduling due to a new employee not understanding the work request, but Fox went above and beyond fixing the situation by having two technicians rescheduled for the next day. Rick, the video professional and Bobby, the pipe master did an outstanding job for us. Both are experts in their field and were able to accomplish the work very quickly. We have used Fox for other plumbing jobs and have always had the consistent experience of timely, polite and professional work. We highly recommend them.

I can't say enough good things about Fox Plumbing. I have used them twice now for unrelated plumbing problems and each time their technicians were very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Their knowledge and service level is far above some other plumbing companies I have used in the past; so they get the job done and they do it extremely well. They got my hot water heater up and running in about an hour. I would not hesitate to hire them again.

I called Fox because I discovered I had a burst pipe leading to an outside faucet. They sent a guy round within the hour and he was able to fix the problem there and then. It was a little pricier than I expected but I'm still giving them an A because the responsiveness was fantastic.

I knew what was wrong having had another plumber out x2 for no umph flushes. no one was able to find a clog with augering. they were on angie's list so I thought to try a different company just to verify the problem. Fox agreed the 30 year old toilets were not worth trying to fix in labor time (would have to take off the seal and dig out compaction in the loop) plus the newer models save water so I decided to get the new. they did not have the models I read about in Consumer Report (of course!) I thought about buying my own at Home Depot which did carry the Consumer Report rated toilet (tech said that was OK too) but I have rather tight spaces in both these bathrooms and wasn't sure the dimensions would work. the warren tees might be sticky etc so went ahead and negotiated with Fox plumber for their models. I had a deal settled with him for the models that I wanted (should have gotten it writing) and he left to pick them up. Funny thing! Those models were suddenly NOT AVAILABLE. So he comes back with a different style by the same maker... and brought a no slam lid as consolation. A "very expensive lid" supposedly Ho! I don't like the darn thing at all - hard to clean etc. So he promised to bring the original lid that goes with the toilet later (which he did) It was a bait and switch scenario but by then I just wanted two functioning toilets. so works starts; things went well as expected. tech used shoe covers for my carpet and protective blanket covering on the floor against spills. he was very quick, neat and efficient. Since I already had at my house, I got him to put on a new faucet (15 min) I'd already purchased.
Description of Work: replaced two toilets in my home using Toto "Drake" and Toto "Caruso" with new seals and angle stops on each. they removed the old toilets as well. two hours total visit time ( one and 1/12 hrs actual work, plus the drive back and forth, the extra faucet job AND he sold me a yearly maintenance contract for heating AC water heater and check of all plumbing (though not repair of the latter) I may regret this ? anyway it all came to $1300.

We had just moved into our house a week ago, when the kitchen sink refused to drain. My husband took apart the pipes under the sink, but could find nothing blocking them. Time to call a plumber, so we called Fox. They sent someone out within 2 hours, and he was able to figure out what was going on with the sink. He offered several different fixes, but we went the long term, more expensive option which including replacing some piping below the house that the previous owner (we'll call him Mr. Do-it-yourself) had installed. We are very satisfied with the service and the job done, and will call Fox in the future if we need anything else plumbing related.

Chad the plumber spent a couple days in our bathroom and basement, replacing the old, stripped-out faucet stems on our bathtub, then pulling out or bypassing old galvanized pipes. He replaced them with new parts and PEX tubing. Chad's work went smoothly. He always arrived on time, called ahead, and was absolutely congenial and professional. Everything he installed seems to be working great. We finally have water pressure in our dishwasher and kitchen sink! A few minor issues we had: The front office misplaced our estimates and botched the scheduling of one appointment. I had to call them to confirm that they'd sent the estimate (they hadn't) and that my appointment was on their calendar (it wasn't). The plumber could have paid a little more attention to cleaning up afterward. He left some debris and grime on the floors. The price was high, of course, because it's plumbing. Besides these, it was a very good experience, far better than with previous plumbers. I'd definitely hire them again.

After an unsuccessful experience with another plumber, I checked Angie's List and hired Fox Plumbing to clear my clogged sewer drain. It was expensive, but they did the job correctly by accessing the sewer line outside the house, using heavy duty equipment to snake out the clog about 90 feet out, installing an access entry outside the house for future use, and following up with a camera inspection. The technician was friendly and professional, explaining the process thoroughly. Phone contact with Fox was amazingly responsive and timely. Spending $1,100 for a successful job beats spending $300 for an unsuccessful job.

James was very courteous and professional--even the dogs settled down quickly with his coming and going to the truck. He inquired about the problem, and explained what he was doing as he went along. He operated efficiently and cleanly. I hope we don't need plumbing repairs anytime soon, but I would not hesitate to call Fox Plumbing, and I feel the cost was quite reasonable.

I was called prior to the Plumber arriving to say that he was on his way and then he showed up on time. I explained to him what I wanted done ( I had briefly told the company prior to scheduling the appointment) and he explained my options and approximate cost. We picked the devices we wanted and he proceeded to install and re-plumb. He cleaned the area and laid down a cloth to keep it clean - he wore booties on his shoes to keep from tracking in material from outside. Once the the job was complete he cleaned up the the area again and removed his tools and presented the bill. He also told us about other services his company provides (but did not push) and to call him if there was any problem with the work that he had done. The Plumber was open to any changes we needed and explained costs ahead of time. He was very professional and worked through to completion. Even though the job was more complicated than he initially thought, he kept it on bid. I would bring this Plumber in if I ever have anything else to do on the plumbing.

Re: the bathtub faucet repair. After the technician had left, it occurred to me that he had not mentioned changing the washer. I changed it myself and solved the leaking problem. I then contacted the company. They called me back immediately, apologized, and refunded my $400. While they admitted that they should have offered me the option of changing the washer, the supervisor also told me that they generally do not change washers because this is considered to be a less-than-desirable fix. Re: the high water pressure in the house and the expansion tank rupture. The company gave me a quote of $675+tax for repairs, which included replacing the PRV valve and the expansion tank. It cost considerably less than this for me to get it repaired. I adjusted the screw on the PRV valve down to a water pressure of 60psi (took me about 10 minutes at most) and the expansion tank replacement cost $32 for the tank and 20 minutes of a plumbers time to replace it. While I certainly appreciated the information that my house pressure and expansion tank had problems, the estimated cost of repairs to these items seemed extreme.
Description of Work: Provider was called to repair a leaking faucet in the bathtub. Technician arrived, removed the old valve, told me it needed to be replaced. He spent over an hour on his cell phone communicating with the office trying to find a new valve. He concluded it would be unlikely to find the valve and told me the faucets should be replaced. While he was in my basement, he noticed the water pressure was high at 90psi and also that the bladder in my expansion tank was ruptured.

These guys are my heroes. This project took three trips (over 4 months due to my schedule) from them, a lot of youtube-ing on my part, and a lot of patience on theirs. They were happy to let me pitch in some of the work to slightly decrease the price and avoid subcontracting, and I was thrilled to be able to learn and be part of the work. Trip 1: I bit off more than I could chew and the first time they were scheduled to come, I stayed up all night chiseling out shower tiles and wasn't nearly ready when they arrived. The technician was extremely kind and just offered to reschedule even though he'd come all the way out to the house for nothing. Trip 2: The next trip, I'd finally cleared everything down to the shower wall studs and was having problems removing the concrete shower pan, so the tech jackhammered the pan and the new drain in, brought in one tub and then happily exchanged it for another model that I'd wanted. We then realized that the floor was slanted so they suggested that if I wanted to I could pour my own self-leveling concrete to save on a subcontractor. They then even built me a frame for the concrete that was the exact size needed. Trip 3: With the rest of the wall cleared out and the concrete, they came back and set the shower/tub, let me frame the wall, moved the plumbing and hooked everything up. Then they filled the old hole with concrete, cleaned everything up and officially became my heroes. They followed up more than once to make sure we were satisfied and I couldn't be happier with the project.
Description of Work: Fox was my partner-in-crime in a first-time bathroom/bedroom remodel. I knocked the wall between the two rooms out to get rid of a strange tiny shower, move the wall, break up the old shower pan, jackhammer a new shower drain into the foundation, install a bath/shower, reframe the wall, move the plumbing and cement over the old shower drain.

Our furnace stopped working. Chad came out the day after we called. He found that our blower wasn't working. Our furnace is about 10 years old. He told my husband that it was not worth fixing. I asked for a quote to fix and one to replace. The cost to fix was $1,000. After doing research online I see that the average price for a motor is $100-200 and that it should take less than an hour to replace. This place is a SCAM!!!

Response from Fox Plumbing & Heating
We are sorry to hear that [member's name removed] did not agree with our technician Chad about their furnace. Unfortunately, [member's name removed] was not present during our discussions with her husband. We offered factual recommendations, based on the age and problem we have seen with that model furnace. As we explained to [member's name removed] once something starts failing, it’s not long after that other repairs are going to start adding up. Our estimate included replacing the motor and a complete service on the furnace. Fox Plumbing and heating tried to contact them on this matter and discuss the situation, but we didn’t get a return call. There are many different kinds of blower motors on the market and yes you could probably locate an aftermarket on for $100 - $200 on the internet, but Fox Plumbing and Heating only sells professional grade products and equipment. This insures us and the customer that we can put a rock solid warranty with our repairs. We wish we could have resolved this matter or at least explain to [member's name removed] our complete recommendations, but we were unsuccessful. For all reader reviewing this matter, please understand how difficult it is when a third party becomes involved, lacking the complete professional conversation our Technician has had with the individual present.

Ryan, the plumber that came, was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and willing to answer my inane questions. As a sometimes amateur handiman, I'm always fascinated with the trades and how skilled people are - Ryan was no exception. I've never had any type of contractor be as neat and tidy as he was. I didn't have to deal with helping him carry the new 90 pound toilet downstairs (which I had volunteered to do) nor to carry out or dispose of the old toilet. He was so friendly that I could have sat down and chatted with him for hours (had I not been paying by the hour!). This was my first time using Fox, but I'll definitely put them on my list as the only plumbing company to call.

My sewer line backed up and flooded my basement the night before I called Fox Plumbing. My wife and I spent a number of hours draining water from the floors, mopping up and moving furniture as soon as we discovered the leak. Even though we turned off all water valves, we had a restless night fearing it would leak again. I became a first time customer after reading a lot of positive reviews about the company on Angie's List. William Sterling showed up promptly at the appointed time in the afternoon. After a few important questions he asked in a manner that I understood, he quickly pinpointed the problem. He worked fast and cleanly in my finished basement - through a trap I was able to locate in a room next to the source of the leak, to clear the roots that were blocking drainage. It all took place within an hour. Shortly after, Rich arrived with a fiber optic cable that allowed me to see the sewer pipe internally. Rich electronically located the connector pipe just outside the house and suggested placing a new trap there so there would be easy access if there were future problems with drainage. He also suggested a power flush from that point. I had to make another appointment but was able to use water in the house before then. William again showed up at our scheduled time promptly. He excavated until he reached the pipe outside the house at the connecting point, cut a part of the old pipe and replaced it with a new trap, power flushed from that point, replaced and cleaned everything before leaving. I will highly recommend friends to Fox Plumbing.

Our plumber, Ryan Bennett, was superior in every way. He was communicative, professional, willing to listen to our concerns, hard-working, effectual, and efficient. He also performed an unexpected feat by doing the job around a water heater that was attached closely to the area in need of repair. He never complained about it. Moreover, he was willing to meet with our neighbors about their water being shut off temporarily, while being sensitive about payment arrangements with us at the end. Overall, Mr. Bennett exemplified how a plumber ought to be.
