 + -1 moreI love these folks. Everyone that works for Florabundant is professional, hard-working, and polite. I get compliments all the time on the retaining walls and the landscaping they've done. Karen is a great communicator. We usually use a combination of meeting in person and discussing things over email when we plan out a job. She really knows her plants, what looks good together, and what grows well in our climate. I've seen other yards she's done, and her work is consistently good.
Description of Work: I've worked with Karen at Florabundant many times over the last five years. They've built retaining walls and steps in my garden. They've done maintenance, like weeding and putting down mulch in the fall. She also did a landscaping job on a shade garden for me.

 + 1 moreProject went very well, and was finished within one day of estimate. (It was one day late only because of unforeseen disruptions.) This group was very responsive. They came to do an estimate within a couple days of being contacted, and started the job the week after the agreement was signed. This project required some design, and this company was the only one that approached it in an open-minded, imaginative way. Not to mention that they came in with absolutely the lowest estimate for the work. They were very easy to work with, cleaned up after the project, and did a very careful, thorough job. One of the smoothest projects I've had done. Highly recommend!

 + 0 moreThe job went very well. The weather was not very cooperative, but the job was completed in a very acceptable time frame. The terrace steps are attractive, and the level surfaces formed by the steps make moving about in the yard very easy and they will be an excellent place to put pots. The flagstone has also achieved the goal of moving the chicken dirt away from the primary walkway and patio. After the dirt was spread on our hillside, I asked the contractor to rake it out more so that more of the dirt would be moved toward the bottom of the slope. The contractor did this without hesitation. The completed result is very good. This was our second project with this contractor, and we will be using them again.
Description of Work: The contractor installed variegated bluestone flagstone pavers in our side yard. We had the pavers installed because we had acquired chickens and their digging had our walkway and terrace covered with dirt and debris most of the time. By having the flagstone installed, we could move their digging to the periphery of the yard where it would be easier to manage. While working on the installation, the contractor made a suggestion about the design that improved the final product greatly. The contractor excavated the site and spread the excavated dirt on our hillside, where we had asked that it be spread. The flagstone was tastefully set in crushed rock, with 1/4" minus crushed rock tamped in as the filler material between the stones. The site has some slope. The flagstone was terraced to descend the slope, at the contractor's suggestion. The terrace steps were made of dry-laid flagstone. The contractor did an excellent job of spreading and smoothing the dirt on our hillside.

 + 0 moreThe project went very well from start to finish. The path was dug out and the dirt hauled away. A crushed rock base was installed. The flagstone was cut and fitted into place tastefully. 1/4 " minus crushed rock was used as filler between the flagstones and tamped into place. Edging material was used as needed. After the path had set for a week, the contractor returned to address any soft spots or concerns that I had. The path is very useful and it enhances the appearance of our garden.
Description of Work: The contractor installed a variegated bluestone flagstone path in our front garden. The contractor was very easy to work with at all stages of the project, from job estimating through follow-up and touch-up on the completed job. The contractor's price for the job was fair and very competitive. They underbid their competition by a significant amount. The contractor's work was excellent. The path that they installed is attractive and useful.
