Description of Work: Removed and reinstalled a new light fixture in the kitchen( We provided, bougth the fixture).Advice on outlet in garage. Rearranged wall heater in bathroom. The on -off knob would be knocked off every time we would open a closelly installed cabinet drawer,( previously" smart " contractor). We were told by a previous electritian that the knob was broken, we needed rewiring and a big estimate. Style with Mister Sparky told us the knob was not broken, he opened the cover ,repositioned the unit inside so the knob can go deeper in the unit and now it DOES NOT interfere with opening the drawer.

Description of Work: I called the telephone number given in your report, and got a call center operator, who took my information and said someone would call back. After waiting a week with no response, i called again, and found out that none of my info was on file. I started over, and after requesting someone to give me as estimate for a service panel replacement, was told that there would be a $59 charge for someone to come out, just to get an estimate. When I questioned a charge just for an estimate, I was told that " our time is valuable"; well, my $$ are valuable, and won't be spent dealing with this company!

Reading this report, I am saddened by the way we are being represented. First, we do not use a call center, we use an answering service, totally two different things. Our answering service has done a superior job for us over the years. They have access to our schedule and if any problems arise can contact me directly. The use of a service became a necessity for us since we are a small family owned operation, and we had an addition to our family. Answering the phone with a crying infant is not always the best image. Hiring a full time phone receptionist would cause us to have to charge more for our services. A service is the best option for us. I receive a transcription of every call they receive. Second, I did call back and received a recorded message (my error in not leaving a message) but I then proceeded to respond via email to the email address left with the service. I have yet to receive a return message or call. Third, in reviewing the transcription of this call, it has come to my attention that they caller was not calling for service for himself, he was calling for his daughter (non-Angie's List member). And lastly, as described in the email which I have not received a response, we do not give FREE ESTIMATES we give FREE HOME SAFETY INSPECTIONS. And although, I have given my answering service props above, this is one area we are working on with them. For a typical service call, we do charge a $59 service travel fee, and often will waive the fee if work is completed while we are there (depends on scope). An estimate is just a guess, we give prices and want to ensure that we understand the full scope of the job. Thus why, a home inspection. This way we know what the current system is comprised of and can proceed with pricing out the needed job appropriately. We can also make recommendations and review any safety hazards with you. We do value our time and our client's time, that is why we are completely upfront. We offer guarantees and warranties in writing that are far superior to others in the business. We are a company that believes in reputation and looking at our other reports from people that have completed business with us, I think you will see that we are deserving in our Angie's List ratings.

fine, just not going to hire them
Description of Work: We were having bids submitted by electrical companies and Eagle was one of 5 that I did have come through. We were asking all bids to be submitted in two parts. One was for the upgrade of a service panel to a 200amp 30/40. And the second part was for rewiring of our main living area upstairs, which is 700sqf. This includes 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath, living room, and kitchen, with a very small area between the kitch and living room. We were having a few items added but most of the existing plugs and switches were to be replaced. We have a open basement and a full height attic, so access was not a problem. The gentleman from Electric was a nice guy, seemed a little unknowledgeable on a few things like if new smoke detectors had to be hardwared. I was really, really, really, shocked by the bid. My first impression was they didn't want the job, and if I did except the bid they just robbed someone for work that was close to 3X as much as the other 4 bids that we got. 3X!! And that was including the coupon form Angies'list. W**? I would have just appreciated not eating up my time. Please do not get me wrong everyone that I spoke to through Eagle was great and very polite, and I'm sure there is some kind of justification for the bid price, but the bid was just a hard pill to swallow.

Description of Work: I hired Eagle to provide an inspection of a house I was going to buy. They were there the same time as the plumbing inspector and the home inspector. I needed all reports withing 6 hours in order to close the purchase deal. Eagle provided nothing for nine days despite repeated phone calls. The report I got nine days later was worthless as I had already hired another company. When I objected Wendy said she didn't care it was my fault. My realtor won't be recommending them again either.

WE NEVER STATED THAT WE DID NOT CARE. THE CLIENT DID NOT COMMUNICATE THE NEED IMMEDIATE NEED FOR A QUOTE. WE MADE IMMEDIATE ACCOMMODATIONS SINCE THE CLIENT WAS LEAVING TOWN, ASKING FOR A TURNOVER OF LESS THAN A WORKING DAY IS ASKING A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT CONSIDERING THE ACCOMMODATIONS WE HAD ALREADY MADE. WE HAD SCHEDULED A HALF HOUR WITH THE CLIENT, WHICH IS OUR NORMALLY ALLOTTED AMOUNT FOR SUCH AN INSPECTION. WE ENDED UP SPENDING OVER TWO HOURS. WE ONLY RECEIVED ONE PHONE CALL FROM THE AGENT REQUESTING THE QUOTE WHICH WE RESPONDED TO. THE TOTAL COST WAS $279.79, WHICH IF THE CLIENT WOULD HAVE CONTACTED US DIRECTLY WE WOULD HAVE GLADLY CUT HER A CHECK FOR THE TOTAL AMOUNT. THIS WAS CLEARLY A CASE OF MISCOMMUNICATION, WHICH BY USING EMAIL IS NOT THE BEST METHOD FOR HANDLING.
