+ -1 moreWe were looking for an economical company to replace the old carpet on the stairs, in the hallway and in the master bedroom including closets. Five Star Flooring took a lot of time with us going over our needs and discussing various carpet options. They feel like a budget carpet company - no flashy showroom or anything - and they focus on getting the job done. That's what we wanted. Scheduling was painless, and the crew did an efficient, thorough job. We had to remind them of our special request to apply Killz to create a barrier between the old dog smell and our brand new carpet, but that comes with home improvement projects. We had two different carpets installed and the crew did a nice job of creating a seam between the two carpets. They also tried to address some of the creaking in the floor. My only complaint would be that there seem to be some sharp bits sticking up at the door thresholds.

Description of Work: 5 Star flooring installed new vinyl floors and baseboard in my master bath, master bedroom, hallway, kitchen, dining room and a second bedroom. |They had to rip out carpet in most of those rooms. | |I can't speak highly enough of George, who helped me choose the vinyl and base, offered advice on installation, and most importantly, saw the job through to my satisfaction. |I am rather picky, and had issues with how the installations had gone. George saw to it that the issues were corrected (one correction involving installing another layer of vinyl)to my satisfaction. He even corrected a couple of minor details himself. He was also mindful of my budget, and came within the estimate. He always answered the phone during business hours and responded promptly to my requests. He came out to my house to provide samples and to check on the job done. |Other men who worked in the office were friendly and helpful. |The installers were prompt, courteous, and cleaned everything up afterward. |Overall, a good experience.

+ -1 moreWe have a very curvy house and they did the job to perfection. This laminant will never come up. They took up and old floor and did a great job with cleaning it out. They didn't do any damage to the walls. The got it all done in one day. It was just shy under 800 square feet. They were all really nice.
