+ -1 moreWe suddenly discovered on a Saturday morning as we were headed out of town that our furnace had stopped working on a particularly cold weekend. Steve showed up in an hour and and quickly diagnosed the problem. Our painting contractor had accidently unwired the thermocouple to the furnace. A simple job, but we were impressed with Steve's timeliness and his professionalism.
Description of Work: Repaired thermostat and checked out furnace.

+ -1 moreON TIME, VERY POLITE. EXPENSIVE FOR RESETTING THE THERMOSTAT (WHICH I DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO DO AT THE TIME), BUT EXPECTED FOR AN EMERGENCY HOUSE CALL.
Description of Work: FURNACE WASN'T FIRING. HOWARD TOOK A LOOK AND FIGURED IT OUT. I HAVE A BLOWER THAT'S CRAPPING OUT AND IT DIDN'T MOVE THE HOT AIR FAST ENOUGH SO THE THERMOSTAT TRIPPED. HE RESET THE THERMOSTAT AND GAVE ME A LIST OF OPTIONS WITHOUT GETTING PUSHY AT ALL. IN FACT, HE GAVE ME SOME HINTS AS TO HOW TO GET THROUGH THE WINTER UNTIL I COULD AFFORD THE NECESSARY REPAIR OR NEW FURNACE. SEEING THAT MY FURNACE IS 16 YEARS OLD, I KNEW HE WAS GIVING ME THE STRAIGHT SCOOP.

+ -1 moreVERY HAPPY WITH THE MAINTENANCE SERVICE THAT BEST REPAIR DID ON OUR GAS FURNACE. THEY CHECKED OUT AND CLEANED ALL COMPONENTS OF THE FURNACE AND NOW WE DON'T HAVE ANNOYING NOISE FROM THE FURNACE.
Description of Work: GAS FURNACE WAS MAKING AN ANNOYING NOISE. BEST REPAIR CAME OUT AND CHECKED THE FURNACE AND DID ROUTINE MAINTENANCE.

+ -1 moreTHE COMPANY RESPONDED IN A TIMELY MANNER. THE TECH WAS PRETTY INFORMED BUT VERY PUSHY. THE FIX WAS VERY SIMPLE BUT HE INSISTED THAT I SHOULD REPLACE A PART THAT WAS WORKING AT THAT TIME. HE CLEANED THE FURNACE AND DID OK JOB.
Description of Work: CLEANED THE BURNERS, PILOT ASSEMBLY, BLOWER BELL HOUSING & VACUUMED DRAFT VENTS.

+ -1 moreHOWARD, THE FURNACE REPAIRMAN WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. HE QUICKLY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM, CLEARLY EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM AND THE RECOMMENDED SOLUTION. HE RESPONDED TO OUR CALL AND FIXED THE PROBLEM THE SAME DAY WE CALLED, WHICH WAS A SATURDAY.
