Ryan came through, checked the job out, and then emailed me a timely, simple, detailed estimate for work. There were a couple changes, and he kept me updated and in the loop on everything. The painters showed up on time every day, and were personable and professional. We were out of town for the end of the job, and I had previously told them it was important to me that they finished before we returned. When we got home, everything was done, and we were able to immediately start enjoying our place.

Ryan visited my home for about an hour when he came to survey the house in order to provide an estimate. He was very professional, answered all my concerns, and fully explained the process so I knew what to expect. As soon as I gave them the okay to proceed, the staff came within a week and were professional, prompt, and clean from start to finish. They came each day prepared to work from 7 AM and would leave around 7 PM. At first I thought I would have to take time away from work to be home and available, but by the middle of the week, I realized that there was no reason for me to be home as the entire staff had everything under control and I felt safe with them. The work was done in about 9 days, if I remember correctly. It was done in the time frame they promised and upon my inspection of their work, I soon realized that the team had the same level of quality I expected. I am a very observant person with lots of questions. It was great that every one of the staff were friendly and answered my questions without making me feel like I was bugging them or keeping them from finishing their work. Upon inspection, every area was painted to the perfection I expected and the team made all the right calls when it came to color choice on the gutters, wires lines against the house, trims, etc. The two main reasons I chose Excel Coatings are - 1. Their reviews and testimonials from past clients and 2. The quote was not an estimation, but actual cost so I knew there would be no surprises. Other company quotes specifically indicated on the quote that it's an estimation and actual cost may very. I would use Excel Coatings again and refer them to anyone looking for quality work from a team of staff that's professional, cares about client expectations, and honest.

Ryan Barr from Excel Coatings is a professional. He was on time for our scheduled bid. He came prepared with a detailed portfolio, and extensive references. His crew was on time, prepared, and cleaned up very well. Ryan was on site at the start and finish of the job. The work was first rate and I would use their services again.

When I was looking for a paint company for my extensive interior project, I received bids from five companies ranging from very expensive to a little scary. From the first interaction with Ryan Barr during the bid process, I knew right away THIS was the company I wanted to work with. He was knowledgeable, professional and realistic. From start to finish, every member of Excel Coatings was extremely professional, reliable and frankly, fun to work with. Their work was nothing but superior and I plan to hire them again for our exterior paint job this summer. I had no idea working with a paint company could be so easy.

I knew I would need help in these projects, and was daunted at the idea of how much time it would take me to do on my own. What I didn't realize was how much time and money hiring Excel paintings would save me in the end! They uncovered patches of crumbling, molding plaster under the wallpaper, evidence of a slow leak that my landlord was able to fix before we moved in. Same was true for the exterior, where they also identified a very large picture window that was loose in it's framework due to rotting wood- details that my untrained eye would have skipped over. The Excel team was fast, friendly, on-time and very professional. Ryan Barr presented me with a very reasonable bid soon after we met, and even with all the surprises, the invoice wasn't far off from the original estimate.

Good service for exterior painting of a medium-sized 1950's house. they are well-organized and prompt, and did a pretty good clean up job. All of their materials were neatly staged and put away each day. Ryan, the manager, was prompt in returning calls and answering questions. Be sure to inspect the work; we had them patch some cracks and holes we found after they had finished.

The crew of Excel Coatings did excellent work; this was a large job with a lot of landscaping to work around, but the crew was very conscious with all aspects of the work, from painting to caulking to cleaning to protecting our yard. We were especially impressed with the project manager Ryan; he had excellent follow up, returned phone calls promptly, and was very dependable and responsive to any questions or concerns. I would highly recommend Excel Coatings to anyone looking for quality work by a reliable company.
