It was awesome. We originally wanted a stacked block wall as we thought true rock would be cost prohibitive. Dale gave us a bid for both and the true rock was slightly cheaper. His stacked wall bid was competitive with others, but his true stone wall is gorgeous. Extremely satisfied and we are looking for other opportunities to again hire Dale.
Description of Work: Retaining wall.

Dale did an exceptional job creating a bluestone patio, steps, walkways and walls in our backyard. He worked closely with us to identify a desired stone pattern and color, came up with creative solutions, was generous with his time, priced his work fairly, and finished the project on time. He is a rarity and we hope to have another opportunity to work with him again in the future. We're now enjoying a beautiful backyard thanks to Dale!
Description of Work: Built a bluestone patio, walkways, steps, and retaining wall.

Description of Work: They built a stone wall and walk to replace a grass surface that sloped to the sidewalk. Dale is a man who has found his calling in life! He could not have done a better job. He had good ideas about how things should work and he and his crew executed them perfectly. He made a trip to the stone yard with us to help us decide on which stone to use then he sent one of his crew out to pick the specific stones for out job. One cannot ask for more than that! If a stone wall is in your plans, Dale is the guy to use.

Description of Work: Dale built a stone wall and walkway. My property dropped about 3 feet to the sidewalk level. The wall allowed me to flatten the from yard and change where the walkway entered the property. Dale could not have been better. He is truly a man who has found his calling in life. He works with stone and that's all that he does. He had good ideas as well as listening to our vision for the project. He met us at the stone yard and we talked about the various options for stone. He even picks out the individual stones for the job. He is simply the best!

Evergreen has no reviews on Angie's List, but I'm familiar with their work because several years ago Dale Miller and his company replaced a sidewalk near my home. He did such a nice job that I wrote down his name and number off a sign he posted in the workplace as I knew we'd also be in the market for a new sidewalk in the future. Over the years, I'd observed other projects he's done in the area and it was always very well done. When the time came earlier this year, I called Dale and asked him to come over to give me a bid. He showed up as scheduled a couple days later. Dale said he was pretty much booked this spring, but that he'd be able to squeeze us in during the next month. As it turns out, he gave me the bid ($3500 + tax) on 1/18/13 and completed the job exactly a month later. The bid was right on the money. He also told me it would take a week from start to finish. It was actually six days. I cannot exaggerate what a fine job Dale and is crew did or how happy we are with the finished product.. They tore out and removed every speck of our old sidewalk. They replaced it with a compacted gravel base and set the bluestone in concrete. The individual stones were grouted in cement with a staggered joint pattern that must be seen to be appreciated. Dale even hauled in topsoil to fill in the excavated areas around the new walk and mixed in grass seed. Other than his sign in the front yard, you'd never even know they'd been there. Dale is a true craftsman and a real gentleman to boot. He was great to do business with and a very nice guy. I'd recommend Evergreen Masonry without hesitation.
Description of Work: Evergreen removed an existing concrete sidewalk and replaced it with a bluestone walkway. They also included some miscellaneous concrete work in their bid.

I had an old retaining wall in the front of my home that was just a jumble of rocks and was starting to encroach on the sidewalk and pose a safety risk. I had seen Dale's work down on Beach Drive where he was doing a very large job and had a sign out front with his contact information. I called and within a day he got back to me, came out to the house, did an estimate, and provided a portfolio of his previous work. The only even mildly negative thing I can say is that I had to wait nearly 4 months before he could schedule me in, but once he did the work it was done start to finish exactly as he said it would be and the end result is absolutely amazing. As an added bonus, Dale is just a really nice guy and was great to my little boy who was generally fascinated by the process.
